FYI This car runs a 13.6 sec @ 102.2 MPH 1/4 mile @ 525ft elevation

Now I am unsure of how exactly to calculate crank HP and what not, but I used some online calculators and it seems that the numbers are follows:
Original Mustang Dyno run at 329 HP / 338 TQ = 404 crank hp (+14 HP / 18.5% drivetrain loss)
+ ~5 for Test pipes = 410 crank hp (+ 20 HP / 18.5 % drivetrain loss)
VTR Dynojet Dyno run max: 367 HP / 358 TQ = 450 crank hp (+ 60 HP / 18.4% drivetrain loss)
VTR Dynojet Dyno run avg: 360 HP / 352 TQ = 440 crank hp (+ 50 HP / 18% drivetrain loss)
I think that the MUSTANG Dyno numbers are a bit more realistic,
so I think it is safe to say that I added around 20 horsepower after mufflers, test pipes, intake filters, and a tune, which I expected and am happy with.

Visit INFINITISCENE.com for all things FX, and to follow my build on there (username JBaker1121)
sounds sick, these things are rare.
Thanks man. Been thinking of getting rid of it but it's rare and great value for the money...
Where are you that they are rare? Up here in Canada, specifically Vancouver there are lots of em around. Pretty popular.
J O'Neill I’m in south Florida lol we have loads of 35’s and 37’s, a few 45’s but barely any 50’s
J O'Neill the FX50 is pretty rare compared to the FX37. Tons of 37s around not many 50s.
True, loads of 37 around here as well. Love your car though, wish I could have got my QX50 in that colour.
Lovely tunes
+Vincent Roy Short of going a full build yes raising the # is tough.... after the VTR tune it's smoother and feels stronger on the highway, pulls all the way. Last tune all my power was up at high RPM - they moved the curve down a bit so the power is more usable. Similar peak # but better tune overall, and more power at shifts rather than it dropping back down...Test Pipes added a few HP too.
Need this done but I'm in Brooklyn. I have an 08 fx35
+Bant0nVideo Go out to Vinny Ten they specialize in the VQ35
We’re the fx35
sold it years ago and got the 50
Are you the one that was posting on forums and had issues with a previous tuner? The post said you were doing school work while you waited lol
hp is already well managed on our fx50 so it's hard to raide the number. did you find a real difference with the tune?
+Vincent Roy yes the top end is more powerful in general but obviously tuning the power to be on the entire curve makes a difference.
Even so, hard to really "feel" the extra ~20HP.. what you "feel" is the shift of the power down the curve etc. A tune isn't worth it alone unless you've got a few things to tune in.
My family also has a stock 2010 FX50S which I drive sometimes. There a noticeable difference in the way they drive.
+Jordan Baker (JBaker1121) Great to ear! mine is bare stock so i think it's not worth right now but having a more usable power is a good thing. Keeping an eye on you on IS! :)
Yeah it's a little sportier feeling than even the stock FX50S power wise.
Still have the fx? What car do you have now
Fx
Great car btw beauty
Did the test pipes throw a check engine light?
They will if you don’t get a tune for them.
I had J pipes to space the 02 sensor also.
I have a 2015 QX-50 is there any test pipe that will fit direct or would I have to modify? I have rwd 3.7 Vq37vhr
You can use test pipes from 370/g37 but some may not fit correctly. I’ve been out of the Infiniti game for a while
@@jbaker1121 okay but if they didn’t fit I’d assume I would just need to modify them ? And oh I see we’ll you sure did have a gem of an Infiniti during the time of your vid :)
@@vciq if you buy ones from an AWD G37 they should fit without needing to modify...
and thanks :)
@@jbaker1121 you would be surprised this is like secret formula information especially on QX50 forums :,) people either don’t know or never tried ! But okay that’s awesome to know I will look into the g37 test pipes thanks for the information!
In those 3 hrs prior to your last pull did you add a second decal to right rear opera class?
+BILL BADASHAW Good eye!
Yes I added the VTR Vinny Ten Racing sticker for a few extra horsepower ;)
+Jordan Baker (JBaker1121) lol I Wii try that.
Where did you pick up the test pipes!? 🤔
They’re custom made - I bought G37 test pipes and had them cut to fit, had to change flanges and angle of pipes.
This is not 8v
Yes it is, it’s the FX50 which has the Nissan VK50VE engine.
Yes it is a v8 .
Heres a thing to remember. The last 2 numbers of the model of the infiniti fx crossovers is what that specific type of engine the fx has. This one. Since it's the fx50. The 50 is a 5.0 liter V8 which is the most powerful engine that's ever put in an infiniti.
@@CoolGuy-ux5wx vr30 took that title its undderated too but the 5.6 v8 and 5.0 v8 are dope
@@ryen49 ok.
