Disney+/Star - The Walking Dead (2021, UK)

Most cinema adverts in the years since their deregulation have played it safer than they would use to a decade ago, while the majority of adverts that the BBFC would certify a 15 have promoted TV and streaming shows with clips featuring intense content. So no on-screen accidents, no sexuality, no mosquitoes getting spiked, nothing too outrageous that would offend anybody about to go and see the newest Kingsman movie. This spot for The Walking Dead on Disney+ is no exception, but dared to give audiences a fright of its own when it screened before select horror titles at the major chains through the latter half of 2021.

Not bad for a modern day Cinema Advert. Most Cinema Ads these days are mostly just the same as TV Ads, but this one actually uses the cinematic format to its advantage, so good on them…

If you pardon me for just one minute, why the heck does that zombie look like he's rendered in PS3 graphics?
All in all, I thought it was a pretty decent Disney+ advertisement for modern streaming standards.
