Like my father was Dy Collector but he also had additional charge of Jail Superintendent, District Land Acquisition Officer and General section of collectorate.
you are right brother my father is also sdm and deputy collector duty is of 24 hours work load is very much sometimes my father have to skip his food and sometimes have to leave food midway and in covid times he didn't even come but he enjoys his job and satisfied with it.

Executive magistrates no longer can order police to Lodge FIR, as per the latest judgement of Supreme Court in the year 2018....therefore, leave alone SDM , even DM can't order police to Lodge an FIR....DM can only request SP to look into that matter....you will never find now on any govt order issued by executive magistrates to police to Lodge an FIR....
