You are compiling the best Kirby theories and lore, and making the most believable dark head-canon i have ever seen. Bravo good sir, bravo. The word Lovecraftian is all too often thrown around, but Dark Matter, Galacta Knight, Morpho Knight, and several Gods and concepts taking physical form are all Lovecraftian. Void Termina, the void given sentience. Necrodeus, a literal death god who possibly petrified light from the stars into the powerful Sunstones. Zero, an conquering being of malice who lusted after the happiness of the dream world, reborn as an undead demon. Galacta Knight, a being so powerful he is feared those who effortlessly seal monsters in the abyss. Nova, a clockwork star, created by a blend of mechanical and computerized parts that can grant any wish, and rebuild itself effortlessly. Morpho Knight, a being connected to the very concept of death, fused from two potent deities. The ancients, an advanced race who delved into forbidden magic and technology. The list goes on, though not all powerful creature have ancient roots. Drawcia, Paintra, and Claycia are sisters created by an artist who's creations come to life. Sectonia was a being Corrupted by Dark Mind or Dark Meta Knight in the dimensional mirror, starting as a being like Tanzania, becoming a demonic parasite. There are many monsters in the kid's game, some hidden by difficulty spikes and hidden endings to keep children from being traumatized by an undead demon. Nintendo is for everyone indeed.
@@Wobbmin Halcandrans: From what I recall, Star Dream (and the Access Ark) are either built by Haltmann based on Halcandran schematics or are just a clockwork star like nova that Haltmann claimed for his own use. Jambastion/Void Termina: While less solid then the former connection, Star Dream in it's first phase has a prominent heart motif, a common symbol of the Jamba cult (not to mention the wings which bear similarities to Void's third phase.) As well as this, the concept art for Star Dream's first phase has a design that is very clearly a copycat of Zero2, connecting him to Void Termina due to the fact that Star Allies heavily implies Zero and Dark Matter are simply extensions of Void Termina.
Star Dream, like Nova, is a clockwork star. The clockwork stars were created by the Ancients, of whom the Jambandrans are an offshoot. The Halcandrans are implied to descend from the Ancients.
Even with all the facts layed out, some mysteries remain: The connection between Void Termina and the master crown, the star rod perhaps being a tool of the halacandrians/jambastions mages, and the identity of Nightmare/Dark Mind. That last one especially, since Dark Mind could be the mirror version of either Zero or Nightmare, implying that perhaps those two are one and the same.
Humans still exist in the Kirby universe, though. Earth might be fucked, but there's evidence to support that the human race is living on another planet, or even among the stars. Remember how Samus from Metroid appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3?
That's true, but this series cares more about making the kirby series look grimdark rather than being accurate. (Which is fine, by the way, but just something to keep in mind)
I just mean that saying "All the humans got KILLED by DARK MATTER/Some unspecified APOCALYPSE" is more dramatic than "The humans left because it was getting chilly outside".

Most of the modern Kirby villains are not agents of dark matter, but misguided people driven mad. Some corrupted by jambastion magic, others consumed by vanity and controlled by a dark reflection of a nightmare, and another twisted by the clockwork constructions of Halacandra. All, in their final moments, are not the people they once were but instead husks. Every single one of them dies long before Kirby lands the final blow, their personality and soul consumed as fuel for the artifacts they once sought to control. Poyo!

Now that Forgotten Land is out, I’d be interested to know if the Forgotten Land is a thawed-out Shiver Star, if they decided to retcon Shiver Star, or if they’re two different places entirely. I’ve heard some people speculate that the Forgotten Land is not the Earth, but actually the home planet of Haltmann’s race.
These videos kill me, both start out as the most ludicrous shit and then some cameo or recurring motif makes it all seem extremely true. Love it Woolie!
I've always felt like the word concerning is a lot more terrifying then the words horrifying, scary, or terrifying itself when used in the right context.
You mention that Shiver Star is far away from Pop Star. That said, given that the story of Super Star is "Milky Way Wishes," it's not unreasonable to say that Pop Star is somewhere in the Milky Way. Even if it's a far opposite edge of the galaxy, it would still be a lot closer than the near edge of the closest galaxy (excluding the few small ones that MW is currently cannibalizing) As to how the Earth became Shiver Star, it could be that the game isn't too far into the future, given that the sun is likely to incinerate the Earth withing the next 5 billion years. Alternatively, in an attempt to avoid that fate, we managed to build a system to pull back from the sun to avoid that fate, only for the planet to freeze afterwords with its star dead. Finally: Adeline. She's the only human-like character in the entire cast. What are the chances that she or her ancestors were actually from Earth/Shiver Star? If not, where did she come from and why does she look human when no one else does?
If that were the case, then they must have done something to prevent the sun's death from incinerating the earth. I mean, there are multiple theoretical ways to do so, so it's not out of the question. Given Adeline's powers, she clearly isn't mundane, so it's completely possible that she's from some godlike race, even if that race used to be human. There have been multiple artists in the Kirby series, however most either tend to summon inanimate objects, or simply convert living beings into some artistic medium. The only artist I can think of the creates fully living beings other than Adeline is Yin Yarn.
1:38 what 2021 is going to look like Non topic discussion: I just came up with this theory. What if Adeline was from shiver star and once the citizens were evacuating she probably fell her way down to popstar
The humans fled. They did not have a destination, but escaped anyway. They found their own places to call home. Adeline, in her painting, wihich spawned the three witches of the paint, and the trio of jamba, finding comfort in worshipping that which destroyed their home. Not of confidence, but of fear. The humans survive, but are scattered across the universe. With no planet to call home.

My goodness... kirby is my favorite franchise and you made it seem dark rather than cute and cuddly. 10/10, your words are dramatic and it adds so much flair to this description.
So, lemme get this straight. Morpho Knight is a lurking dark god from beyond time and space, Void Soul is some ungodly fusion of Kirby and all past Final Bosses and the legions of Dark Matter wiped out Humanity and turned Earth into a frozen wasteland. Fuck. Kirby is deep, man.
I have my own theory and thoughts about Shiver Star and HR-H, I'm curious what others think. My take is that Shiver Star/Earth was one of the early "acquisitions" of the Haltmann Works Company. My evidence is, of course, one of the levels being a shiny, well taken care of mall. But another solid piece of evidence are the test tube monstrosities: could these be prototypes of the nanogenetics utilized by Star Dream? HR-H's hostility could be more based on protecting Haltmann's business, rather than malicious coding.
A lot of people theorized that Shiver Star was colonized by Haltmann and Star Dream after humans were forced to leave. Aside from the omnipresence of machines and genetic experiments, we sadly don't have anything to prove it. The devs said that Haltmann colonized countless planet during his descent into madness, so this is actually pretty likely.
It's possible. What really intrests me is how exactly Haltman was able to find the blueprints for Star Dream. It's not likely for him to have been able to entirely colonize and freeze earth without the strength of the access ark.
Haha... no. HR-H uses completely different tech than any creation of the haltmann works company. There is COMPLETELY Different weapons and lifting tech. The HR-H Uses thrust and lazers, with the missiles resembling human design. Haltmann uses anti-grav and weaker yet more plentiful missiles that resemble statues.
Upon this revelation, one can wonder; Would the Earth then somehow be warped onto a distant galaxy in the far future in some way; or could that Earth (later to be Shiver Star) be the parallel equivalent to ours, existing in a parallel reality? :o Thank you Grand Meister for blessing us with this knowledge! *prays*
VaatiVidya throw in the towel, no one can hope to compete with this pinnacle of content! Seriously though I hope Vaati watches these and is impressed by how happy go lucky the souls games are in comparison to the grim dark world of kirby
I still think void termina and zero have a relationship similar to ganon and ganondorf. Ganondorf comes from ganon, zero comes from void termina. Ganon is a chaotic evil that has an unpredictable dangerous nature just like void termina. Ganondorf and zero are a more controlled evil who's danger comes from their ability to be more cold and calculating.
Ganon comes from demise, Demise was the original Evil, its not ganon and ganondorf is more like Void Termina is Demise and Zero is ganon, but the difference is, Zero doesn't reincarnate, Void does, both are separate beings, but we can say Void could have created Zero.
honestly at this point your narrations are so good I wanna see someone take the task of making a illustrated book of all this stuff with your narrations.
These are some really good videos explaining the lore of the games. Something that I found very interesting is how Adeline is actually seems a human character inhabiting Dreamland/Popstar, and so far is the only human character to canonically exist in the Kirby universe that we know of. It was stated she came to Popstar to study it for her artwork, but how did she get there? Like stated in this video Shiver Star’s inhabitants have long sinced moved away. If Shiver Star is really Earth in a distant future in an ice age, where humanity has moved to find a new home world leaving behind futuristic technology, could Adeline be one of the people to move from this world and now lives on new one, Popstar? It makes me wonder where did she get that magic paintbrush from too. Anyway this was another amazing look on the Kirby-verse. Next time will probably be more about Dark Matter/Zero? Can’t wait!
I already knew Shiver Star was a post-apocalyptic Earth from Game Theory's theory on how strong Kirby is in the Deathbattle that was Kirby against Majin Buu
Hawk Hatter Mothman. He has a Twitter and a deviantart. Links to both are scattered throughout video descriptions of the LPs that he's made title cards for.
Man, what a morbid future to go back to and think of in 2020, Dark Matter reaching Earth would be the biggest of the last straws right now! But dang this story is good! I'm shifting all the time between fascination for the story and just praise for the narration. These videos are gems!
King Dedede is actually penguin gifted with human cognitive thought and speech through experimentation. Using his charisma (the same charisma that allowed him to become "king of dreamland". He convinced his fellow experiments, some of which being the mice that became the squeaks, to build rockets allowing some of them to escape the doomed planet. They take off. Many rockets don't make it. However the one's carrying Dedede and Daroach make it to Popstar...
Dedede has currently no canon origin but the games often acknowledge him as one of Pop Star's most powerful life form and he was even refered to as "perfect" once.
Ghirahim le fabuleux Fairly sure you’re referencing “Dedede is already perfect,” a quote from a Smash Bros. Wii U tip about his inhale not copying abilities like Kirby. I don’t think he’s referred to as perfect anywhere else, so its legitimacy is questionable.
"Its legitimacy is questionable" is a phrase that can be applied to a lot of things about the "king." I could totally see "I'm already perfect" being something he'd say about himself in canon, in response to being asked why he can't copy things.
FrozenOver0 Yeah, he would say that about himself, but I’m fairly sure Dedede isn’t literally the perfect entity. He’s far from the strongest when you’re comparing him to galaxy destroyers such as Dark Matter or Galacta Knight, and he, at least initially, definitely wasn’t virtuous in letting his kingdom starve out of self-indulgence. He’s a much kinder giant penguin king now, but he can’t be perfect.
If this was the fate of Earth, what happened to the other planets of our system? Were they ignored? Taken over? Or did the Dark Matter destroy them, seeing the lifeless rocks as useless to their goals?
Game:Usually a joyful game without anything scary in it. Lore:Shows the real story of the Kirby series and how disturbing Kirby’s world and the foes he faces really are. The lore is definitely not meant for children.
Now this is one part of Kirby lore that legitimately needed a lore video. Shiver Star's been one of those big, incredibly interpretable things for a long time ever since some of us noticed the planet resembled Earth as kids playing Kirby 64 all that time ago. A lot assumed it was nuclear winter, but it's just as possible that it's just really really far in the future and the Earth has frozen over. Other descriptions say the inhabitants "left", which I think is actually a more interesting idea than they all just died. Like, the Earth has been left behind, its automated systems all still functioning but otherwise it's like an abandoned house. Even the wording that all the inhabitants just left is open to interpretation. That's what's fascinating about such a small little detail in an otherwise super cheerful game about a pink puffball fighting darkness: it's so subtle that there's so many theories or conclusions one can come to about it. Also kind of interesting how at the time, Sakurai seemed to have a bit of a fascination with the idea of places that have been "left behind", this being one example but another that comes to mind being that really enigmatic Super Mario Brothers stage in Smash Brothers that's that first iconic level, but everything's a desert and barren almost like it's a version of the Mushroom Kingdom that's been left behind and forgotten.
K i'm just gonna say that the music in all the lore videos so far is absolutely FANTASTIC. It's a bummer that the artist hasn't released them on his youtube or soundcloud.... at least not yet, because i'd TOTALLY buy the remixes heard in these videos. I also love how the lore is explained in these videos... it shows how deep and important the lore of this franchise really is and i really love that (being a person who is very invested in the lore, these videos are a godsend for me)
Woolie: "And all signs point to most of us not making it."
Outside: "I bet this would be a great time for loud ass thunder."
To be fair, it does EXPLICITLY say moved away.
Now, I doubt humans make it far, but, I mean, the painter is right there.

If so it'd explain why Egg Engines was left in a state of ruin.
Believe it or not i have full belief that Humanity IS the Ancients.
Hold on. HR-H is the boss of Shiver Star/Potentially Earth, correct? What does the HR in it's name stand for? Perhaps, "Human Race"? If so, would the letters before the - in the robot's name be a sign of who created it?
"H" probably means hostile, and ""E' means eradicator!
@@GameLog0 What if the H stands for Haltmann? We know that Halmann's corporation has been working for a long time and have potentially invaded other planets, the R could be the previous name of the creator
I hate to be a boring buzzkill, but HR-D3 only appeared in an extra mode, the likes of which have a tendency to be non-canon.
Don't forget Star Dream, bearing connections to both Jambastions and the Halacandrians, as well as the power to summon Galactica Knight
Right, I cannot name everything though.
David WhyshouldItellyou
What exactly are Star Dream's connection to the Jambandrans and Halcandrans? I just wanna clarify.
Truly insightful stuff. Real eye-opening. The Kirbyverse lore has never been so clear to me.
Is your back tattoo Kirby?
If it's not, he should demand a refund.
No. why is yours?
Humans still exist in the Kirby universe, though. Earth might be fucked, but there's evidence to support that the human race is living on another planet, or even among the stars. Remember how Samus from Metroid appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3?
That's true, but this series cares more about making the kirby series look grimdark rather than being accurate. (Which is fine, by the way, but just something to keep in mind)
Adeleine is implied to be a human as well
Hey, I never said humans still being around didn't discredit the grimdarkness of the lore. I mean look at Warhammer.
I just mean that saying "All the humans got KILLED by DARK MATTER/Some unspecified APOCALYPSE" is more dramatic than "The humans left because it was getting chilly outside".
@@ajnutable The video said that billions died and the Earth was then abandoned; meaning that what little survivors they were, left to the stars for a destiny unknown.
Woolie is the Black Vaati of Kirby
I still wish this series was called "Prepare to Hii-iiii!!!"

This Kirb-Lore is getting intense.
Kirby lore is turning out to be a cute successor to Lovecraft lore.
Wait til' you learn about Dark Matter and the story of Haltmann
Kirby himself is intense.
Poyo!
Lol man this series rocks so hard, thanks woolie!
Man crystal shards is so good, sucks that we never really seen many of the characters from it return much at all.
They brought Adelaide back, and the recent Star Allies DLC has a number of shout-outs to Zero and Dark Matter--can we hope?
hyness line:we are the master of a matter most dark.
they know human tecnology?
are susie and the jamastion mages a ramification of humans?
a different spieces evolved aside adeline spieces?
I think this line is more implying their control/worship of dark matter, who is a form of Void Termina just like Zero(2) and miracle matter (and darkmind/nightmare and the master crown, depending on who you ask.)
The chosen pink one, brought to link the shards and consume the darkness.
The lore Sakurai wanted us to forget, because truly, he thought it too powerful for our virgin minds to comprehend.
Sakurai has not directed a main Kirby game since 1996. This is about something Shimomura made, like the rest of the Dark Matter Trilogy.

A whole episode on Shiver Star? Okay I didn't expect this but hey, I guess Dark Matter and Zero are next.
I mean if a level is a destroyed and frozen over earth, theres gotta be some story there
@@dragamation3266 Yeah but it's not as big of an event compared to the rest of the lore, which shows how dark the canon is when the end of our world is just something trivial and of no consequence in the Kirby universe.
I wasnt saying its big, Im just saying there has to be some kinda story there, the story of how it became like that. But reading back your comment I see your more surprised it took up a whole episode and I get that.
Ah, Ghirahim, old friend, how are you, my good chap?
Yes it is.
Oh woolz, you beautiful creature.
These videos kill me, both start out as the most ludicrous shit and then some cameo or recurring motif makes it all seem extremely true. Love it Woolie!
I've always felt like the word concerning is a lot more terrifying then the words horrifying, scary, or terrifying itself when used in the right context.
Kirby lore is here to stay.
PAT DISLIKES THIS
story time with darlington.
*Pikmin* : post-apocalyptic Earth.
*Kirby* : post-apocalyptic Earth.
*Me* : Nintendo, is there something you wanna tell us?
Splatoon:post apocalyptic Earth
You mention that Shiver Star is far away from Pop Star. That said, given that the story of Super Star is "Milky Way Wishes," it's not unreasonable to say that Pop Star is somewhere in the Milky Way. Even if it's a far opposite edge of the galaxy, it would still be a lot closer than the near edge of the closest galaxy (excluding the few small ones that MW is currently cannibalizing)
As to how the Earth became Shiver Star, it could be that the game isn't too far into the future, given that the sun is likely to incinerate the Earth withing the next 5 billion years.
Plot twist. Adeline is not only human but humans remain as old gods that once fought the darkness and pushed it back.
Metaknight: was this your home?
Adeleine: it was....and it was beautiful.
1:38 what 2021 is going to look like
Non topic discussion: I just came up with this theory. What if Adeline was from shiver star and once the citizens were evacuating she probably fell her way down to popstar
i never realized how deep the Kirby 64 plot was
Dedede:"Man this snow is kinda funky smellin
Adeline: "This isn't snow."
Kirby:"Poyo?"
Adeline:"It's ash."
Kirby:"Po-Poyo?!"
DeDeDe:"What in tarnations happened here?!"
Adeline:"One word. War."
Glad to see line makers like you still come here
With our planet destroyed and our people dead or worse, do we have no other choice but to fade into nothing?...
Forgotten Lands seem s to imply that the "Ancients" we keep hearing about is, or at least once was, indeed Humanity

Amazing as always. You always get everything on point, wording it perfectly. Very fitting feeling. That Zero 2 remix sounds amazing. Great job.
That music box Zero-Two theme legitimately sounds like it could be from Evangelion.

Looking at the Japanese footage, it seems like Shiver Star in Japan is called “Blue Blue Star”. Fitting, seeing as Earth is the “Blue Planet”.
Not that we don't "make it" but that we abadon ship at some point.
It's absolutely nuts how captivating these kirby lore videos are.
Upon this revelation, one can wonder;
Would the Earth then somehow be warped onto a distant galaxy in the far future in some way; or could that Earth (later to be Shiver Star) be the parallel equivalent to ours, existing in a parallel reality? :o
Thank you Grand Meister for blessing us with this knowledge! *prays*
Maybe that's how it froze? Maybe it's orbit got fucked, sending earth out away from our solar system, until it went into orbit around Pop Star.

Kirby games: "Look at me, look at how cute my games are!"
Kirby lore:
This legitimately terrified me, even though I already knew all of this. You have a very scary voice

honestly at this point your narrations are so good I wanna see someone take the task of making a illustrated book of all this stuff with your narrations.
At least Shiver Star finally thawed out, am I right?
No, it’s a different version of shiver star, most likely a alternate universe.
Yeah maybe the forgotten land is shiver star
Um...that's not confirmed. It might be an alternate universe, or a home for the same beings before they left to Shiver Star (or vise versa)
Can’t wait!

So when is Kirby and/or Woolie going to show up on Edgelords?
No joke, @WoolieWoolz’s Kirby Lore videos continue to be the best content on RUclips.
However the one's carrying Dedede and Daroach make it to Popstar...
hiya its iya I… I can’t tell if you’re being serious or not.
I'm so glad this turned into an actual series and not just a random one-off, these are super interesting!
If this was the fate of Earth, what happened to the other planets of our system? Were they ignored? Taken over? Or did the Dark Matter destroy them, seeing the lifeless rocks as useless to their goals?
well getting that the portal's take them to different locations that are farther away
im sure the other planets in the Solar System are fine
Game:Usually a joyful game without anything scary in it.
Lore:Shows the real story of the Kirby series and how disturbing Kirby’s world and the foes he faces really are. The lore is definitely not meant for children.
*MINDLESS DESTRUCTION*
More! More! More!
I didn’t even know that honestly
