I’m a cis, exmormon atheist. I support you 100%. I’m surprised but also very glad that you had had such a positive experience in church overall. Keep doing what makes you happy, and do what it takes to feel peace and comfort within yourself. I hope that LGBT Mormon youth can look at people like you and not lose hope for their future.
I wish I had found this video sooner. Thank you so much for making this and sharing your story. It has given me so much hope. I am also a trans man who has just come out to his family and bishop. I haven’t been so lucky as both do not support me and I am still living a double life as both a guy sometimes and a girl other times ( a guy at home and a girl at church). I am also currently on a service mission as a sister missionary. Because I am trans I am not allowed in the temple but I serve on the temple grounds, and I feel like I am able to get the same blessings there and I am so glad to be able to! In January I will be going to college at BYU- Idaho and be able to live as a man full time. They don’t allow people to medically transition there though so I will have to wait until I am done.
You have a beautiful soul! I am a cis lds woman and I greatly admire your closeness to HF and your courage in paving the way to greater understanding and compassion to our trans brothers and sisters.
I'm 12, LDS. I came out as FtM to my church a bit ago. I didnt expect to get all that support. Everyone treated me like I was always Lee. They didn't mind at all if I swam in my binder at the pool. The Bishop is currently trying to move me over to young mens. I also found out that there are indeed other LGBT people in my ward, mostly the youth.

I am not sure if you read this or not. Here is my take. I'm Catholic with a Trans Aunty who is a great human and I am always sad she couldn't have the "normal" journey. But God never gives us what he can't handle. I am Pro of everyone who loves God regardless of sexual preference. When you talked about people staring at you. Remember Mary Magdalene was always stared at too and it was because people just didn't have the understanding. The church is still figuring things out. There will be a time Christian's will remember that Christ taught us to love everyone and break bread with those who you normally don't. Hope you make it back to the church. ❤
I love this so much im also a transgirl mormon its been rough but i feel so blessed to habe a understanding bishop. Im hoping my future bishop will also be accepting :) the scariest thing for me is potentially finding a significant other i mean being trans and attracted to female automatically becomes difficult. But i have faith and love god ^^

Hi Emmett, I like your video and I’m glad you had a great coming out experience with the church. I’m mtf and also believe god doesn’t make mistakes. I have a question though. What does that mean when you said receiving confirmation that your soul/spirit is male?
Hey thanks for sharing, i kind of get it but at the same time can't fully relate because im a convert, i got baptized around a year ago, and im a trans man living in mexico where my bishop is closed minded, and sometimes i think of the what if's, and that really bugs me. I just spend around 6 months going every sunday to my ward mettings and going to institute but i dont feel welcomed anymore, i just feel like im not doing enough to keep a close relationship. I know this is just me rambling but thanks for sharing and for keep showing that theres some kind of hope at least in some places. Have a great time man
I hope you know that there are countless places in the church where you will feel welcomed. I'm sorry that you haven't had that experience where you're at now :/

Lucky you. I was abused by part of my family and the Church. That's why now I have tactical training, carry a Glock 19, and a Ka-Bar knife. I'm a transman btw. Also I am not religious but spiritual.
Emmett if you want to join a post Mormon support group then you can find Thoughtful Transitions, Mormon Stories Podcast, Mormon Enlightenment on Facebook. I'm in those groups. There's many ExMormon and post Mormon RUclips channels too. I loved those as well.

Hi. English is not my first language and I have a bit of dificulties understand 100% of what you say with this music you ad. Anyway did I understood well when you say that as long as you don’t have bottom surgery you are welcome to stay within this church? If yes, what will happen if with time you want this surgery?
According to the handbook, if I have the surgery, then I may be disciplined. So I'm not 100% sure if I would be excommunicated or disciplined.
I can’t understand how any church or any believe can influate a person so much. Because there are conditions right: “you may be part of our church if...”. For me it’s a deep sign of non respect. Have a great week

god is alpha AND omega. nobody can tell you, you are NOT what you are. you are gods creation. unfortunately the prophet do not accept us to have the priesthood and stuff. but I know God will come for us. we deserve to be equally treated. church is not perfect. because it is humans that still are leaders. Belive Emmet, brother. we will get our justice. and we will be blessed. I am working on it. I have a really special relationship with god. stand as an example, even if they do not understand. remember, black people did NOT have the right to the priesthood once. that is bullying. it says clear in the scriptures and everything. it is CONFIRMED already long time ago, YOU are a creation of HIS image. nobody can tell you otherwise. FEMALES are created in HIS image. words is just words. people don't know ANYTHING. but don't worry. Just have faith, and know who you are. you are a son of god. nothing else. angels may not look like us. we are all created DIFFERENT. but leaders don't understand or can comprehend it yet. THEY are not ready for us. but we are eager to come out. and our father is already with us. do not fear. because he, is with us.
it is not a sin, if you don't get the same rights you actually have the right to have. if you know what I mean? that is on their hands. god would never want you to feel the way you feel. he would never say you are created wrong, and are not the way you feel. you are His. and His only. remember, Jesus Christ came to his own, and even his own DID not take him in. HE knows what you are going through. they are not perfect. remember that. forgive them because they do not Know what they do.
so many families is lost, so much blessings are lost. and it is not in the cost of your hands. Jesus has already paid for you. he will lead his church and we will get our justice when it is our time. Belive that. don't let people stop you, don't let the so called leaders stop you. just go to church, for your god and for yourself. because that You already know who you are. and they do not. it is sad how we are treated. but I know God is king. and god is god. not them. they will never be god. because they don't even accept what a god is. they don't accept gods creation. females and males are EQUALL. they say.. but they are not. it's like giving 2 children different quantities of candies. they give 10 candies to the boy, and they give 2, to the girl. They have forgotten where they came from. do not FORGET where you COME from Emmet. You are not, from here. remember that.
