The fact that this is 7 years old and he just won his 6th really kinda screams goat
Climo has 12
How can you not root for this guy? So motivated, so driven, so inspirational, so great.
+DGweekly He's also a genuinely good person. I met him and told him great work this year and he shook my hand and asked me my name and said thanks for watching. Big fan here.
pete nixon BROOOOOO 😂😂😂😂😂👌🏽
arctic waddle it's been a year. Did you ever lose your virginity?
Because I always root for the underdog XD which he is not!
@@awkwarditaliangirl8419 I usta root for underdogs...then I grew as a person. I now root for excellence and those who exemplify excellence.
I can't tell you how many times i have watched this video. So inspirational, great before a big tourney.
Kwame didn't you play in NBA? And do you play disc golf?
Erick Janich that’s obviously not his real account
L G And he was obviously joking
World champion training at its best! GOAT!! Love to watch Paul play to this day 2022’
The phrasing in that quote is so thought provoking.
"I hate losing. I have a bigger hate for losing, than a passion for winning."
I think it lends itself better to a sport like disc golf. When you have that desperation to win its like you're grasping for it. And we all know how those days on the course feel. But for some reason harboring hate for losing seems to inspire a sense of calm execution. It's a desire versus a refusal. That sense of rebellion against loss appeals to me. It almost creates the aura of an antihero.
natedsamuelson it’s the same in any individual sport. Before disc golf I raced mx and it was the same way. It’s that fear that drives and defines you and makes you better
What a truly inspirational documentary. I liked Paul before watching this, and I absolutely love the guy now. His view on the fans and being a role model are something everyone can learn from. He's a great disc golfer, but an even better person.
Excellent documentary, wish it included the USDGC at Winthrop this past season when Paul completed the first ever Grand Slam! I followed Paul everyday during that week, talk about a focused and composed athlete. It was a great week, even though it rained so much. At 54 I just started playing about two years ago and watching this young man was inspiring. He along with the other competitors on the card make it look easy. I look forward to seeing Paul again at Winthrop in 2016. Hopefully he'll repeat the Grand Slam!
I took my 8 year old son to the 2017 Nick Hyde Memorial. All he wanted was to see Paul play and get his disc signed. Paul couldnt have been nicer. Made a little boy's year. Great guy.
The thing that I love about this Documentary is that it has interviewing (maybe a little too much but still great lol) and I like that it also has the hotel room and just normal interactions before a round and stuff like that and when he's in the bathroom just talking and stretching. Overall amazing!!!
This was great! Slow mo with the rain drops... Beautiful! Very well done.
Man how different Gibson looked versus nowadays
Great job. Thank you for doing this. There is not another athlete with all the attributes that Paul has in any sport. I'm glad he's around to represent the sport in such a remarkable manner.
Just made me have so much more respect for our 4x world champ. Awesome documentary.
Thank you SpinTV for presenting and Epic DG Films for creating this inspiring documentary about Paul McBeth!!!
This is one of the best disc golf video productions I have seen. I really appreciate Paul's authenticity and vulnerability. Thanks for putting this out there!
Mr. Mcbeth, and I say that out of respect, has revealed a one of a kind view of not only himself as a champion but also of the entire sport of disc golf.
I'm newer to the sport (started a year ago) and this half hour doc revealed a lot of parts to the game that no one talks frankly about such as the backache and pulled muscles that pros not only get but play through as well. I also though it was so humanizing to see someone that so many people look up to claim to have problems socially and yet still put forth an effort to tell people that it's alright to approach him and talk as equals.
I don't have a Facebook page, I'm not someone people know, and im sure im not someone people talk about, but after watching this video I feel like people have a great role model to show them the future of humanity in the modest form of Mr. Paul Mcbeth.
Thank you, sir, and if I ever have the dubious pleasure of meeting you, I would be an honor to shake your hand. C.J.R.D.
Excellent job to everyone who was involved in creating this documentary. This is the greatest thing I have ever seen!
This is my favorite DG video. I've watched it more times than is normal. Ha! Need more videos like this. They don't ALL have to be McBeth videos, but maybe most of them? :-)
A great ambassador for disc golf, and a great inspiration to be your best. Thanks Paul!
A very powerful and inspirational video! Fantastic documentary with terrific video, audio, music and all that went into the making of this film. Bravo! Great job!
Epic DG documentary lives up to its name. Will be one of those films that rewards being watched once every few years for the next few decades!
Probably the last time I will be on SpinTV, haha. It was really awesome to have paul here in Jyväskylä!
Great video and behind the scenes look at Paul and what it takes to succeed at that level. Have a lot of respect for Paul for what he believes his responsibility is within the sport. It's material like this and people like Paul who can take the sport to the next level.
Awesome look into one of the best players. Thanks for the advice, going to be stepping up to my shot trying your mind clearing approach. And its always a pleasure watching you play.
So much inspiration I get out of this! Fantastic Paul!
Stellar! This is 27 minutes of perfection!
So much respect for these guys and for the sport. I'm honored to be witnessing this sport grow into something huge.
Awesome documentary. I always wondered how he got so good. Being a loner and making disc golf his outlet. Great focus, determination and drive. Mad respect for Paul
The Freaking Goat and it is 2023!!! We new Paul from day one!!
Thank You for the great video and for being the great role models that you are.
Paul is one of the biggest reasons people want to play disc golf. He is the role model that shows the way forward
That music makes you feel like you can accomplish anything! Awesome video, it definitely made me respect Paul McBeth for everything he does in and for our sport.
What song was it
It's background music not a song I don't believe.
Cole Cosbitt
it's called "Gayer than Hogan's Alley"
What and incredible documentary, Thanks SpinTV and Paul McBeth!!!
That is awesome. Well done. I love it and look forward to other player documentaries!!
It's time for a newer edition of this! Still Greatness!
Great documentary from Paul and this documentary shows how great person Paul McBeth is !!!
Great role model. I'm 50, have been playing for a few years, but this video is about way more than disk golf. Thanks Paul.
Dude this is classic I grew up playing baseball and now play disc golf full time too. I feel like a lot of the muscle memory that is associated with baseball can be easily transferred to disc golf
Love this Documentary!
Paul you're the man and i thank you! Keep up the good work brother!
Incredible production that completely elevates the sport. Mcbeth is a phenomenon and an inspiration. I can only hope that future growth of disc golf brings Paul the larger fame and greater financial reward he so rightfully deserves. Can't wait to see more, thank you so much for putting this together!
Very nice film! Even hurt, he is a beast on the course but he is so down to earth. Well captured.
Absolutely awesome film guys!!!
That was awesome! More of these!
So awesome 👏🏼 I gotta Watch it again!
What a great video! Can't wait for the next one!
look out for an upcoming documentary about me called "the okayness"
Or me "the meh" lol
He would still kick my ass on a disc golf course. He’s really good
Mine would be called.. Below Mediocrity
I bet I can beat him in GOLF tho...
or 2 new world champion ships and a ten million dollar contract with disc golf lol
Amazing work! Good luck to worlds Paul!
Great video, Very inspirational. Thanks
this sport will grow
Yup 100% agree
More like a this videos! This is so much fun to see peace of their lives!
Now that Wysocki is the new world champion this year I can't even image Paul's work ethic for 2017.
Fast forward to 2020... 5 time!
Paul is the man. His battle is with himself. That's what makes him great. He's not worried about your game. Michael Jordan has that quality.
All of the goats have that same mentality.
This was a nice showcase piece. Well done.
Thanks for posing this. Very cool. Hopefully get to shake Pauls hand one day
Really enjoyed this. Thank you.
Great piece, inspiring.
thank you for this really got me and my kids pumped for disc golf!!! keep this up please!!!
About to go play because this video. Thanks!
McBeth OP!!!!!!! you rock! grats on the 4th world title i was a bit nervous for you after 3rd round but you made a huge charged played your game and no one could keep up you crushed it good job paul!!!
Awesome video in every way.
How could you dislike this!?
That was awesome...
he is so humble. i like all the greats but mcbeast is inspirational.
Is he the world's most charismatic, media-friendly guy? No. Is he the world's best disc golfer? Yes. I think he's great for the support in that he provides a true measure of greatness for the rest of the world to strive for.
We need a) another one of these w/Paul and b) more for the pros in general.
Awesome!!!
First tournament was AM Worlds and he finished 9th in J16! That's crazy! GOAT! Go McBeast!
Wow absolutely epic. Confirms the extraordinary effort required to reach the upper echelon of any sporting endeavor. That Pablo McBeth came from extremely meager beginnings makes his achievements even more amazing.
Who was Pauls little Finnish caddy? There’s gotta be a story there too.
He caddys for him every European Open, even this year.
he will be in 10 years or so considered the greatest ever. just so disciplined and dedicated and that is what separates him from the rest. i think the only one that comes close is wysocki.
njodzi bwerinofa pretty freaking close to reality!
Climo
Great quality
Damn I hope to meet him one day
I started playing disc golf the same year as Paul. That’s pretty cool.
Well Done.
Paul is great. I feel like i can be this great even at my age! I would love to play against Paul anytime anywhere.!!
top notch!
Regardless of the sport the champion always seems to have the biggest heart and strongest drive and determination. I can only imagine throwing a disc at all with an ailing back, much less winning a world championship with a bad back... More proof that McBeth is The G.O.A.T.
Great Video
Amazing :) Paul
Awesomeness Personified!
I like that little easteregg at the end, where there is Latin text when they show photos of the players.
Awesome
Dude, the rain drops were very cool looking when you focused in and out..
Good work.
We need a sequel!
I’m 11 and really into disc golf. Me and my uncle go like every weekend. I own 17 discs already.
You still crushing discs at 13?
Shout out to Flagstaff, AZ!
What a Champion!
McBeast is such a classy dude
shooooottt got me all inspired and stuff =,,)
i got a signed luna from him!
send the bag this way paul!! see you at portland open!
2017? So motivated video.
Huntington Beach loves you, Paul.
Paul is that dude...I hope to be that good someday. I try to always play.
Finally a documentary I can enjoy😂
Ur the man Paul!
I have to say I am impressed. Very motivating, I've been an athlete all of my life, worked my ass off through serious injury, and I have been throwing plastic for 25 years . I would play to relax between bmx , arena football, mountain cross, and mma. My homies and I are very regretful for not being more involved in the sport back then. I always thought Paul had to be a your run of the mill douchebag athlete. After watching this video, I apologize for my error of character . Much love and bless up y'all.
Just a solid human being.
@ 22:43 ... he says "don't be shy, I'm a human just like you"
I'm not so sure he isn't lying.
