This is a Made-in-Taiwan Chinese song. It was orinally a theme song appearing in drama series with the same title of this song. The actor and actress were famous in Taiwan, and so was and is the singer. I forgot the details of the drama but only remember it's a story about a remote age in China and there was a pair of lovers struggling for their lives and love, as usual. Because the theme song is beautiful and is easy to follow, it just passes down over the years. Almost all people of my age, around 55 and up, in Taiwan know this song.
