VFA-211 Checkmates Homecoming 2011 - CVW-1 NAS Oceana

Here is a small video I put together for those in VFA-211. Its always a pleasure to see families rejoin together after a 6 months plus cruise. VFA-211 is attached to the USS Enterprise as a part of Carrier Air Wing 1. This is the second to last cruise for the USS Enterprise. I'm sure the last one these guys have aboard the historical ship will be a charm. The VFA-211 Checkmates fly the Navy's most advance fighter in the inventory, The F/A-18F Super Hornet. The F Models are the two seat version of the Rhino.

Nice video. I see hornet 200 only has one fuel drop tank compared to the multiple for others. Does the captain take off last and therefore needs less fuel than others who have to circle around?

i am a cav scout u s army retired what is going to happen tto the enterprise when they retired it, i would have joint the navy if i could have serve on the enterprise only its a great ship
