  • What a spectacular sight to these beauties depart burbank. One of the loudest departures I have ever heard so I apologize for some of the shaking. One Aircraft was a VFA-211 bird and the other was a borrowed ship from VFA-106. The planes were heading back to NAS Oceana after a training stop at BUR. They were going to make a fuel stop in Kansas. Before they departed the crew came over and talked to us and they were super cool! Here is some info about the rhinos.

I saw a Super Hornet once and a Growler as well. I would have to agree, no RUclips video does any of this justice whatsoever. A) they are a lot larger than you think and B) unbelievably loud. I suggest any milavia enthusiast see these things just as you have.

Nice video Sam. How cool must that be, sat in a fighter jet with your admiring public watching on? At least the second plane crew waved..

We talked to both crews before they departed and they were so cool! The first jet probably didn't see us and they were busy pre flighting I'm sure.

Thought the nicknames for these birds was "Rhino" while the "Viper" was the USAF F-16
