These long form conversations with Colin and Nick are priceless. A part of me wants this more often because it is so good and layered, but another part of me appreciates it even more because it's not daily or weekly. It's like hanging out with your favorite cousin from out of town. If you were with him all the time he probably wouldn't be your favorite cousin anymore. 😂😂😂
Agreed, anytime there's a good duo people want that daily or weekly to get more of it (understandably) but because we only get this once every few weeks it makes it special.
Hearing Nick talk to Colin really humanizes him, same with Damonza. Nick's come a long way from being Colin's fervent guest, he's chilled out and Colin definitely seems proud of his protege.
Bro makes some insane takes half the time but I can't even lie, Nick seems like a genuinely good guy which is really rare in his particular industry. I always enjoy when he talks about non sport topics.
What Nick and Colin touched on towards the end about success was encouraging to hear. Colin addressing the importance of resilience, and Nick addressing how a pathological need to be achieving goals (on top of rejecting the “it just wasn’t meant to be attitude”) are the keys to success. I feel like at times, all I have is my goals and dreams. I’m not where I want to be in life as a young man, and the thought of fixing things about myself and my life consume me all day long. I don’t have a lot of people depending on me (I’m not in a relationship, I’m not a father, I’m not a Coach or a successful Businessman). So I’m not really an asset in this life to anybody, all I have is my goals and a desire to succeed, cause what value do I have outside of that. I have to succeed, it’s not an option.
As an aspiring sports broadcaster, I can’t tell y’all how much I soak out of these conversations about the business and learn things I never knew. Keep crushing it fellas! 💪
That scenario that Nick brought up with an elder present is so spot on! Know what to say/do given the company you have in the moment, especially when it comes to being on a date! ❤ ❤
As a sports fan, and actor, I can’t tell you how much I valued the acting segment. Especially when Colin highlighted Broadway actors. So many parallels between the two industries.
As these two are by far my favorite guys to listen to in the sports industry, I’m amazed by how much content they are able to take while running other businesses and still keeping their main show, the main show.
I love these talks you can tell it’s just two friends who get along, hanging out having a drink and shooting the shit. The sports talk is great but being a fly on the wall for the more personal conversations is really engaging
I love the back and forth of these 2. The respect between them is awesome. Complete opposite of Collin and j-mac, who I personally think Collin secretly hates
I'm exactly like Nick. Tried coke in college once, did it four times the next day, woke up the day after, and wanted coke REALLY badly. I knew if I did it again it would be a severe issue, so I haven't since. Hearing these two in this format is super refreshing. Makes me like Nick even more despite his Brock Purdy slander!
Smart move. I was able to do coke like once every two weeks in college and it worked out pretty well for a couple of years. Eventually stopped before graduating.
This is the best Colin! I used to hate u at the other network and since FS1 I love you. Idk what you did maybe I just grew up but I can’t go a day without listening to the show or pod. Love it!
LOL, also Colin didn't congratulate Nick when he mentioned his wedding (and inviting Colin to KC for it) and Colin didn't say he would go to it. He just moved on.
They’re both spot on… stand up comedian is the pinnacle… and that’s why 99% of them suck… but we’ve lowered the standard… because a good one is so rare
yup. and there was actually a “restaurant” or 2 i guess. i remember always getting something bbq when i went there. haven’t been to the new airport yet but i know it’s gonna be a hassle when i go.
I loved the show. Honestly the sports talk was the part I was least engaged with. Hearing the guys just talk was so fun. It’s nice having a little leak behind the curtain
I'm from KC and moved to Alaska, and I agree with Nick about the airport as long as it was your initial departure or final destination. Not only the benefits he said, but when you fly in to visited family, they could meet you right outside the gate. It was like in the old movies where you could watch people walk onto or off the plane. Flying through to go somewhere else would have been a pain though cause you'd have to leave and reenter security to get to your connecting flight.
Colin at his best is being real and vulnerable. Offsets the smarmy snarky version. I get why that character is needed in that format, but this version is far more interesting and compelling. And Nick… always great.
Being able to just stop when you want is a huge rarity. Hope denial doesnt play a part in that. Like playing with fire for most. 😮 great discussion. Colin still the best. Love the Nick Wright combo.
Hopefully someone in the staff will read this: 1) non sport talks are so great, it makes them so much more likable; 2) please tell Nick to some day bet Colin to wear a hat backwards in one of his segments
You want to talk about what's impressive. Just sitting infront of a camera and talking, while knowing you're being recorded and still being able to ramble and be yourself without saying words like "UM" or "And" every two seconds is HARD. What you guys do is incredibly impressive day in and day out and it's so natural. Don't sell your talents short. I'm a musician and I can go up on stage and sing in one take and do what I do that way. I can be brought up on a stage to sing and play without any notice and give the same performance that I'd give when I'm doing a regular scheduled show. Once I'm in front of a camera without my guitar I start overthinking it and I need to do 50 takes just to get a few minutes of talking recorded. Just like what I do as a musician, talking infront of a camera like that takes a lot of practice and confidence once you press the record button to just be able to sit there and knock it out of the park consistenly. These long form convo's are a skill. I admire what you guys do because It is not easy.
I love both of you guys an watch both of your shows daily. With that said I have no idea where you guys came up with that first half hour? That ain’t it chief, Lmao I got confused for a second and had to look at my screen to see what I was listening to.
Mike Valenti in detroit has been killing it for years for 97.1. He's super polarizing and pisses off a lot of fans but he usually has a lot of solid funny takes.
it’s great if you’re from KC and just wanna get out of town (like me) but i could see how if you have t be there for a layover how it would suck. it was super outdated. now there’s a boulevard bar and actual restaurants
The "addendum" from Nick I think can be best summarized as "good stubbornness". Some people are stubborn in a good way, and most are stubborn in a bad way. There's some people who are obsessively stubborn to try and be legendary to themselves, not to others.
Nick trying to play victim about getting roasted about KC losing As if he was talking MAD SHIT 24/7 especially the day b4 the game 😂😂😂 Shit crazy lol Great show tonight
My favorite version of Nick and Colin! Wish we could get this a bit more!
Exactly. They should be able to drop an F bomb and not have to worry about the high ups at FOX.
Please start a podcast called “You Herd it Wright”, I could listen to yall every day
This wud go number 1 immediately
excellent post. they should pay you for this 10000%
What about “you herd wilds wright” lol. Kevin wild in there would be nice . Jk he’s more of a host

Can never get enough of Uncle Colin and Cousin Nick! Best duo in podcasting period.
That’s highly inaccurate
Bill Simmons and Cousin Sal
Ok I would never admit that. Family full of slurpers
Unc and ocho
Unc and ocho is killin it
Hearing Nick talk to Colin really humanizes him, same with Damonza. Nick's come a long way from being Colin's fervent guest, he's chilled out and Colin definitely seems proud of his protege.
1. Colin and Nick is the best duo ever.
2. Can we get Kevin Wildes his own podcast on the volume
NEED a Wildes podcast‼️‼️
Wildes comes one the BS pod with Bill Simmons and David Jacoby like 4 times a year
We need a weekly show from these two
Bro makes some insane takes half the time but I can't even lie, Nick seems like a genuinely good guy which is really rare in his particular industry. I always enjoy when he talks about non sport topics.
That is what a podcast masterclass looks like. Completely captivating from start to finish and felt like I was in the room
The dynamic duo back at it again bringing the 🔥
This is the best hour and a half of podcast in sports. Please more often please. I love the life stories and sports. It is all amazing
These discussions are invaluable to aspiring individuals in every industry. Bravo, gentlemen!

That’s beautiful to hear my guy. I can relate
Listening to these two talk about the entertainment industry is vastly more interesting than listening to them talk about sports. More of this please.
Thanks for this podcast guys!
As an aspiring sports broadcaster, I can’t tell y’all how much I soak out of these conversations about the business and learn things I never knew. Keep crushing it fellas! 💪
You can do it! Best career ever

Absolutely love these two together best podcast in sports..NEEDS to be done way more often!!!

This should be the podcast every week. You two are better together than separate
Man, these two together are gold. It’s crazy cause I am not a Colin fan at all. But love Nick. Nick brings out a different side of Colin.
How can you love one and not the other? They are the 2 best in the industry
These two are great at knowing little to nothing about the sports they talk about
I love these talks you can tell it’s just two friends who get along, hanging out having a drink and shooting the shit. The sports talk is great but being a fly on the wall for the more personal conversations is really engaging
I love the back and forth of these 2. The respect between them is awesome. Complete opposite of Collin and j-mac, who I personally think Collin secretly hates
lmao
Always fantastic, can we get a short segment on go-to cocktails for these types of conversations. Trying to figure out what they are drinking
These two together are awesome !
As good as it gets, can't tell you guys how much I appreciate these
By far my favorite combo of podcast and guest. Wish you both would do this weekly!
I would literally watch this everyday. I love sauced Colin. He's more real and Nick being himself with Colin is a must watch.
I like it when Nick and Colin get together.
man Nick and Colin really had a 20 min convo bout Jalen Hurts “aura” 😭😭😭
Nick and Colin would be a great show
More Nick and Colin pls
Nick and Colin...GOLD! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️😊❤️😊❤️
I agree local sports radio is awesome

I like to learn about what makes people successful. Colin that is a great trait. When you decide to stop you stop!
love those two together
Loved the episode, great to have Nick and the life lessons were a fun start!
The volume is the best thing to happen to Sports Talk
I love these two together with drinks
To Nick’s point about greats not being satisfied, Jalen once said he’s grateful but never satisfied.
I love how whenever these 2 talk they talk about life lessons with sports only ever as the metaphor or analogy. It’s so refreshing
This is the best Colin! I used to hate u at the other network and since FS1 I love you. Idk what you did maybe I just grew up but I can’t go a day without listening to the show or pod. Love it!
So natural and free flowing. Super great listen.
I hope Nick loses more bets so we get more movie length podcasts between Colin and Nick! Keep it coming 🔥🔥🔥
Love Nick and Colin talking
I wish Nick & Collin would do more shows
This was the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Thanks guys🍸
as someone who grew up in Seattle, Dave Softy Mahler is a legend! Glad you were able to shout him out and do the pre-game show!
My goodness these two. I’d pay monthly just to have a couple of these pods.
Best duo! Please keep doing these 🙌🏻
Get Klatt on the pod. It would be an all timer
We need this. Thanks.
Nick always tells Colin he loves him at the end and Colin can never say it back 😂😂😂
LOL, also Colin didn't congratulate Nick when he mentioned his wedding (and inviting Colin to KC for it) and Colin didn't say he would go to it. He just moved on.
Nick always makes Kansas City sound so humble and small when it’s really not 😂. And Kansas Cities New Airport is really nice.
The airport talk is funny. I just flew out of there
“I am not Broussard” 😂😂😂
Fly on the wall video. Great listen.
Collin + all the people on first things first would legit be magic
Colin talking bout Quinn was really my two worlds colliding
They’re both spot on… stand up comedian is the pinnacle… and that’s why 99% of them suck… but we’ve lowered the standard… because a good one is so rare
I agree these two are awesome! Unc and Ocho are crazy interesting too but Colin and Nick just have a different energy that is truly great.
We need this weekly!
Nick is spitting about the old KCI. It was awesome. Get there 10 minutes before your flight, walk through security and right onto your plane.
yup. and there was actually a “restaurant” or 2 i guess. i remember always getting something bbq when i went there. haven’t been to the new airport yet but i know it’s gonna be a hassle when i go.
I loved the show. Honestly the sports talk was the part I was least engaged with. Hearing the guys just talk was so fun. It’s nice having a little leak behind the curtain
this is an iconic pairing. love these talks.
Yes yes yes more of the Colin and nick let’s gooooooo!
cant decide what i like better..Colin and Nick , or Colin and Joel Klatt
I love when these guys get together! Great entertainment
Jalen hurts was on the Kelce brothers new heights podcast. If you’re wanting some long form interview content.
Love Nick’s drunk eyes at the Im not bru
Not Nick coming out as on the Spectrum lmao. Ayyyyeee he got the Tism

Best duo podcast in the sports world. Great stuff.
best conversation in sports!
Schipol airport in Amsterdam is similar to what Nick described for KC. It's weird when you aren't used to it, but also kinda nice.
The Jalen Mac comp 💯💯💯💯
awesome interview
You can tell when LIL Nick started feeling that sauce LOL too funny and seeing this the real Colin Cowherd starts to manifest not Colin Cow”Herd”

Man these 2 are just outstanding together
Yes Nick! I love the old MCI Airport. There was never a more convenient place to fly/arrive. 😅
it’s great if you’re from KC and just wanna get out of town (like me) but i could see how if you have t be there for a layover how it would suck. it was super outdated. now there’s a boulevard bar and actual restaurants
You two guys are just gold
Simply the best content on RUclips.
Eternal sunshine of s spotless mind, and you could put the Truman as more serious roles for Jim Carey, and they were great movies.
LMAO “I didn’t know Kansas City had an airport” Colin with a classic line. Congrats Nick on the wedding.
The "addendum" from Nick I think can be best summarized as "good stubbornness". Some people are stubborn in a good way, and most are stubborn in a bad way. There's some people who are obsessively stubborn to try and be legendary to themselves, not to others.

Anyone who says Lebron is better than Jordan didn’t watch Jordan. And certainly didn’t watch Jordan when the game was on the line.
Except a lot of dudes who played in the league and watched Jordan disagree with you, so there’s that.
