Well you will be surprised about the enjoyable music experience this system offers!
I totally agree with you on this review. I got these 3 months ago and they are the first 5.1 speaker set I've ever had. I use them for home theater and I think they're just perfect for a 5.1. The bass is perfect with horror and action movies and the surround sound is very clear. Of course, you can get a better 5.1 system but you'll need loads of money for that.
Yep, I even went on to buy a Theater Solutions SUB15D for a sidekick. I've set it to reproduce only sounds that are about 80Hz and below, so this babe stays quiet most of the time but shakes the whole neighbourhood when there's action. Well, not the neighbourhood, since I put this system up at my cottage, so I can use them as loud as in a movie theater :)

After reading other comments I ran to a user that placed a laptop fan on back of the unit powering through usb and had no complaints since. For now i have a place a small fan and it brings down the heat about 90% down
@@godzillaxtc869 it's not to bad, I will give you a small breakdown of how I see it. Build quality is really good and were it shines imo. Sound quality is not to bad but was expecting better tbh. I purchased a Philips home theater system years ago for like a couple hundred bucks and was blown away by the sound quality and bass of the system. That didnt happen with this much more expensive system but the build quality is better and the speaker wire isnt hardwired into the speakers like my Philip's systems so thsts nice. Bass is not insane like some of the reviews imply, again not bad but was expecting better. A huge downer with this system though is the lack of hdmi, that would have been a very nice update but sadly nope. I can't get true surround sound going through my TV's optical port so now I have to buy a hdmi audio extractor if I want true surround sound. All in all its decent and alot better than just tv speakers but not blow you away good.
as the sub uses spring clips to connect the speakers.. I suppose one could use good speaker cable 14AWG gauge. Then put the speakers where you want them..
Great speakers for the price i have them for my iMac connected with an Optical Cable and i use to have another Z906 connected to my TV in my bedroom but upgraded to a Klipsch 5.1 HT
£220 is not cheap for pc speakers but they are worth the money 100%, good sound quality and very loud and bassy if that's what you want if not just turn it down or off.

Is it theoretically possible to connect two Z906 speakers to the same controller? It has VGA input. If I could get a Splitter and send that one controller to both it should work right? Playboyer670 You need a good graphics card but once you have a card that plays at reasonable detail at a good frame rate then audio should be the priority. A good audio experience is crucial - getting every bit of video detail is not.
For immersion, sound is just as important.... but you gotta get that GFX card in place first. and cheaper graphics card doesnt mean shitty.. he could be talking ab out going from a 1070 to a 1060.
I'm referring to people who spend $1000 on some insane Titan or Ti or whatever to run everything at max settings - which is great, but not necessary to the gaming experience. And then they cheap out on speakers and headphones. If you indeed spent a little less on the graphics card and got a great set of speakers or headphones, you'll have a much better overall experience.

I don't keep it on my desk, I used to keep it on top of the subwoofer and usually operate it by remote. If I was particularly relaxed, Id operate the volume dial with my foot and that does move it around. I lost the remote though, so at the moment it is glued to the underside of my desk alongside my DAC. It weighs next to nothing so stays on really easy. It's the best available at the price point (that I've tried). If it's for a loungeroom cinema system with a TV, if you can spring for a better system, do that. If you can't, this will do nicely.

That's a terrible way to do it. The viewer is still playing the sound back on THEIR speakers so it is not at all representative of what these speakers sound like. I could have included a sound test, but if you're playing it back on a smartphone...it's just gonna sound like a smartphone.
I'll have to disagree on one thing, graphics are 10x more important than sound. I sometimes play with my volume very low so I can listen to my friends speaking, sometimes I even turn sound off and just play games for the sake of playing games, and I swear I don't care as much about Dark Souls without sound as I would do about Dark Souls with amazing ball-shattering sound immersion using Dolby Atmos and 1200€ 200.1 surround system at 10 FPS. Dudes and dudettes, don't sacrifice top end graphics for sound! Aside from that the review is great, thank you so much.
While I get that's the common perception, and I don't think graphics are unimportant, I wasn't advising anybody to get a cheap graphics card, but to actually invest in sound. Nearly all gamers have more graphics card than they need - if you can run the game at a good framerate and at a good quality setting, then you don't need to get the top of the line, and you can spend that money on other things that are crucial to the gamin experience - audio, monitor and peripherals. I don't see the point of running a game at 200fps on a 2080TI with a shitty monitor and keyboard with $20 speakers when you could run it at a perfectly good 100FPS on a 1070 or something and also have great audio and a brilliant monitor and have an overall better gaming experience. If you can afford the top of the line graphics card and also invest in sound and peripherals, then go nuts. Thanks for watching :)

Decode are only for compress dolby or dts, generally from movie or music with optical cable. Game dont use that, they use uncompressed sound and you need analog cable (3.5 jack) for a real gaming surround sound (or hdmi).

I thought by just adjusting the base settings in sound blaster entertainment mode will fix the problem but reading other reviews it gets hot just from plugging the unit. Thinking of putting a fan. Did you fix the problem
yes is normal, but mine z906 damaged after play songs and movie once a week, maximum 3 hours. the agent told me that the circuit board is damage beyond repair and replace a new set to me. however for the second set again spoilt after 2 months later. it's not normal that the sub is so hot. I still feel my room that creative T6 is miracly excellent, not at all hot.
Abel Martinez The amplification gets hot, not the subwoofer. If the woofer gets hot it is overpowered... Amplification is normally getting hot and it is a normal think. But, don't worry, if the TDA will reach 105 degrees it will shut down until it will cool down. I have a Genius 5005 and I thought the same thing, but it is normal. My transformer is reaching 60 to 70 degrees and it has no problem. If it get's hot until fire comes out, maybe someting is shorted or if the transformator gets too hot maybe the coils are shorted. Hi-Fi sistems don't need fans...
if can, never get this. get creative T6 instead. because T6 using rubber for their sub and speaker, while logitech sub and speakers use FORM, meaning won't last you very long. my subwoofer keep producing cracking sound, I think due to 52HZ. while creative sub is only 20HZ.. super LOW frequency..

Haha that is bad wording, I'll give you that. By sound signature I meant depth, sound stage, sharpness, clarity etc - how the speakers actually sound. Volume is a different thing - just because its loud doesn't mean it sounds great. Its average sound signature isn't improved by great volume. It's also relative - I wasn't expecting these to be particularly loud and they are very loud, but its not necessarily a good thing.

Nearly all gamers have more graphics card than they need - if you can run the game at a good framerate and at a good quality setting, then you don't need to get the top of the line, and you can spend that money on other things that are crucial to the gamin experience - audio, monitor and peripherals.
I don't see the point of running a game at 200fps on a 2080TI with a shitty monitor and keyboard with $20 speakers when you could run it at a perfectly good 100FPS on a 1070 or something and also have great audio and a brilliant monitor and have an overall better gaming experience. If you can afford the top of the line graphics card and also invest in sound and peripherals, then go nuts.

@@rexeverything8549 By having previous experience of how things sounds, listening to echo in the room and so on. Let's say you watch video where someone show phone speakers and then show big speakers, you want to say you wont hear difference ? even on worse headphones.

Decode are only for compress dolby or dts, generally from movie or music with optical cable. Game dont use that, they use uncompressed sound and you need analog cable (3.5 jack) for a real gaming surround sound (or hdmi).

High Speaker I get that a lot, but nope. Never been much of a gamer, I don’t have the time for it. Only games I currently have are Wii games I can pick up for 5 minutes at a time l - Donkey Kong Country and New Super Mario to be precise.

Always find it fascinating that people judge so heavily on appearance, but since I’ve got this fine Sundayoff I’ll indulge
1. My skin is not pale if you see me in real life, I’ve actually got a mild tan. The horrible colour grading in this video gives the impression of jaundice.
2. I don’t sleep much, I have several businesses, one which is computer programming so I do pick up some typical coder traits
3. And the “beard” that everyone seems to love is just 2 days growth because I used to film these on Sunday (my only free day) and don’t usually bother shaving on the weekend. Though for this video, I did go to the effort of getting rid of the atrocity of a moustache.

I thought by just adjusting the base settings in sound blaster entertainment mode will fix the problem but reading other reviews it gets hot just from plugging the unit. Thinking of putting a fan. Did you fix the problem
yes is normal, but mine z906 damaged after play songs and movie once a week, maximum 3 hours. the agent told me that the circuit board is damage beyond repair and replace a new set to me. however for the second set again spoilt after 2 months later. it's not normal that the sub is so hot. I still feel my room that creative T6 is miracly excellent, not at all hot.

Amplification is normally getting hot and it is a normal think.
But, don't worry, if the TDA will reach 105 degrees it will shut down until it will cool down. I have a Genius 5005 and I thought the same thing, but it is normal. My transformer is reaching 60 to 70 degrees and it has no problem.
If it get's hot until fire comes out, maybe someting is shorted or if the transformator gets too hot maybe the coils are shorted.

if can, never get this. get creative T6 instead. because T6 using rubber for their sub and speaker, while logitech sub and speakers use FORM, meaning won't last you very long. my subwoofer keep producing cracking sound, I think due to 52HZ. while creative sub is only 20HZ.. super LOW frequency..

Haha that is bad wording, I'll give you that. By sound signature I meant depth, sound stage, sharpness, clarity etc - how the speakers actually sound. Volume is a different thing - just because its loud doesn't mean it sounds great. Its average sound signature isn't improved by great volume. It's also relative - I wasn't expecting these to be particularly loud and they are very loud, but its not necessarily a good thing.
Yeah, you made a huge mistake with wording. Did you at the very least have a decent sound card blaster to help the quality sound better?
