Way to keep going despite the weather! Nothing will slow your family down.
They used to have night tours on the trail that was supposed to be a little scary. We did it but that is probably close to 30 years ago now. The tour guide we had was really good, if they still do them it may be worth a walk and night time history lesson. Remember to ask about student discounts at places that charge, many places will give student discounts and teacher discount for you. Stay safe and healthy.
What you do with your children on the road (home schooling and historical tours, etc.)beats any classroom teaching! It’s awesome! I could not imagine sticking them in a dull classroom hours per day, you can tell they are learning so much more! Keep up the awesome work Mom and Dad!
Thank you so much.
Got to love having a teenager to watch the younger ones.
Great video NOP! Boston sure has a lot of history to share with your peeps.
Gotta love those New England thunderstorms. They sneak up on you when you can't see the horizon like out in the midwest.
It was wild! We normally are good at checking weather but since we weren't hiking or anything it never crossed our minds.
Haven’t been to Boston since Covid hit but we went a few times in 2019 to TD Garden for Bruins games. I did Quincy Market as an 8th grade field trip many many years ago lol.
We’ve never been to Boston, but it is on our list. Awesome that you made the most of the rainy day. ❤
You should - it is really a cool city to visit. We look forward to going again soon. It might be one of my favorite cities to explore and I am NOT a city person! :)
WE went to Boston, with a cruise. We then took the bus tour around town. I couldn't have walked it with bad knees a few years back. Thanks for the video.
That sounds awesome. John and I have done a New England Cruise but we only stopped in Boston for a few hours so its been nice to take a few trips into the city.
Thank you. You all did good.
Thank you!
sorry i missed the nopeeps... i fell back asleep..
happy anniversary
No worries!
I was thirteen when I did the Freedom Trail. 56 years ago.
Aarons age! So cool. :)
I’ve done that several times, where I plan all this stuff and then the hubs or family change it on me…so frustrating, but then I remember to take a breathe, remember it’s their time too and we work out a compromise. It all works out in the end.
Looks like y’all had a lot of fun either way.
Yes! I was so upset at lunch. We stopped at Chipotle and I probably cried for 20 min solid. Not my finest moment. it was at that point we decided to ditch my plan all together and just roll with it. The day got so much better after that.
@@NoOrdinaryPath oh my gosh I’ve done the exact same thing, that makes me feel so much better! 😄 Yes once I ditched the regular plan I found I was much more relaxed! I still make lists, but they’re so much more flexible, I have a lot more fun & end up with a reason to come back if everything isn’t done. LoL!
It is super great that you did it all as a family. I love the kinds of things you explore and have to say, I’d love for you to plan my next trip. You seem to be really great at finding “all the stuff”. 😁
Thank you so much! I was just saying yesterday that if I go back to a "regular job" someday I want it to be as a tour guide. I just love finding out about random things to see and the history or facts that surround it. I just never knew how fun it is to learn new things and now I'm addicted. :)
@@NoOrdinaryPath ☺
Very cool...and wet!👍
Yes it was!
Did you know…?
Right across the street from the Granery Burial Ground, where many founders are buried, there a place called the Beantown Pub. It’s in fact the only place in the world where you can sit and drink a cold Sam Adams while looking across at a cold Sam Adams 😊
Wow now I want to go to Boston!
This is the stuff family lore is made of
Me and my buddy Maaahk From gaaaahdnaaah hay where at the paaaahk stirrin up a whipah! It was wicked pissah hay!
Haha! I have to have John read this outloud. He can really nail it.
Try and make it to Salem MA in October
We have had Halloween weekend booked in Salem since we found out we were coming top New England. Can't wait!
Good job
Thanks
We did the same thing sort of lol. We got on the Train in Lowell and rode in. Make sure if you get back in go see the USS Constitution and the battleship Cassin young. They are free and awesome your kids can get facts from actual us navy working on the Constitution.
Yes for sure! That was part of our plan that day but we didn't make it over there. We'll go back for sure. And I actually really enjoyed the train - just have to bring stuff to do.
@@NoOrdinaryPath we enjoyed it as well, Boston was a fun town. Thinking I may take my Cinder over to the Ocean this sat by Hampton. Wife has to fly back home for a funeral so sounds like a guys trip lol.
Lol wicked lol
We're catching on. haha!
I’m so sick of every RUclipsr I tried following this week is spending tooo much time promoting products.
@@phyllisraeglabe3081 Yeah...this is awkward. So that FREE entertainment that you get every week from those RUclipsrs...well its stuff like the products that help us create it. I mean I don't think it's too much to ask for you to get through 2 minutes of a promotion right?T
No taxation without representation. 🫖 I think we need to revisit this tax thing again 😊
While i understand the sentiment, if you have a vote, you ARE represented. The colonists did not have any say in how the government was run and thus the saying "no taxation without representation." That said, they probably would be shocked by all the taxes paid today! :)
@@NoOrdinaryPath yeah taxes today was my point. 👍🏼but that saying is on Wash DC license plates
