About the age of adulthood, here's a quote from the Web Novel, Arc 5 Chapter 2: Having regained some composure, Subaru puts his hand to his chest as he recognizes the differences in adulthood between this world and the old one. It’s essentially the same as genpuku. The age of adulthood is about fifteen in this world, and that’s when it’s legal to drink and smoke. Subaru: 「…would be the right way to consider it, Petra?」 Petra: 「Yes, that’s right. But going into more detail, boys leave their homes and find work at fifteen, while some girls start getting married around then. if you thought this was bad wait until the later arcs get animated , even more important information gets revealed in side stories [which if even adapted will be in break times]
Like i said i other vids, ALOT of info is revealed in side content, even in the novels. There's side content from skit machines, to towels that the creator wrote during dinner, to limited edition stuff, to even mobile games or crossovers (like the Isekai quartet movie) Tappei is like Yoko Taro in a way, lore of their series is in the most unexpected of places, i wouldn't doubt if you were to have dinner with them, they'd just casually drop the heaviest lore of the series and have you tell people online about it.
When Subaru was isekai, the age of consent in Japan was 13-14. (Actually, it still was like that until a few years ago.) And we know that Subaru's father flirts with high school girls even though he's married. This part wasn't even cut from the anime. But despite all this, Subaru is very strict about the age of consent. He does not find it appropriate to marry or drink alcohol before the age of 18-20 and refuses. He even banned everyone under the age of 20 from drinking in the entire camp during the one-year timeskip after the arc4. His moral code isn't something that comes from his family or society. It's a code he's made for himself. That's why he's the GOAT.
Yeah that‘s still not true, the age of consent MINIMUM was 13 in Japan with MOST prefectures age of consent being 16-18, exceptions are Tokyo and I think 1 other being 20. Subaru‘s Dad also wasn‘t flirting the scene was meant to show how easily Kenichi makes friends with anyone from young to old as a contrast to Subaru.
@@LusterCandy18The Japan part is wrong yes. If I remember correctly Subaru was from Kyoto. And the age of consent there was 16 before the new regulations. But to be honest I think the part with Kenichi is pretty clear. It was a flirt and he got the young girl's number and added it. next to the numbers of a ton of other girls. Kenichi is not a good person anyway. We are talking about someone who tied up his child who didn't even go to elementary school and locked him in a warehouse. It was such a traumatic memory that Subaru remembered it when he was imprisoned by Garfiel in WN. There's also the part where Subaru smokes next to him and beats him up....
The age of consent in Japan was only 13-14 im inhabited islands. That was simply the federal minimum, but each prefecture had to choose something above that. Hence, the age of consent was still around 16, and only for kids to be with other kids. His father “flirted” with basically everyone, he wasn’t going after children while married. The age of consent thing wouldn’t be a factor, and I’m honestly tired of how many ppl have this misconception about Japan. Kenichi “flirting” wasn’t really in the WN, and I’m pretty sure it was cut out for the LN, similar to the whole discussion about Kenichi punishing Subaru for upending a table at home, etc.

Yh, for some reason they really do like to drop critical information in spin offs. Such as 'Isekai Quartet', 'Re Zero Breaktime', gacha games and some other forms of media. Its gets a bit depressing, but hopefully they mention it in the anime, not just relying on 'Breaktime' for this CRUCIAL piece of information about Al, and all of the other important pieces of worldbuilding. The adaptation is still brilliant, but it’s a shame that time constraints and uncertainty of future seasons had to make this necessary. There’s also a side story set on arc 1 in which Al is looking for Priscilla along with Ram who was looking for Emilia, and Al thanked her by name despite Ram never giving him her name. Possibly throwing even more fire onto the theory that Al is Subaru in some shape or form, or at least has/had some device similar to a gospel or tome of wisdom.
Really ED? you are being a Wizard even on the break time? not gonna lie: i'm not ever surprised :) 6:11 yes, we need some extra help, help finding even more fanarts XD I love the fact Mimi really fell in love on first sight (or perhaps first sniff?), they make a great couple. ED: "ohh, so ep 4 was the one with lore people freaked out about? i see, at least ep 5 won't have it, right?" Chat: "How do we tell him?" I get the point of cutting small details and putting in the break times, the episodes are already crammed with info, they don't have space/time for everything after all. That said, it is very sad that a very important point like Al being from Japan was put there, imo i think they will put that in canon when needed, but still...it's a bit sad.
You should 100% watch the s2 break times. A lot of extra information for s2 was in there and would’ve been useful for theorizing back then. S2’s break times were just character development. S1’s break times was mostly world building.

The thing is Ed they already did bring it up that ones GATE regulates their mana in S1 early episode from Puck teaching Shamak. My point is if you take that to heart then a broken gate can mean more than one thing... either its a burst dam and the whole Dam (body) goes with it or its a busted facet and power will constantly leak or fill but when your vessel holds no more it just spills over no harm to the body. This just confirmed which of 2 paths it was. But we all know of a GATE that Emillia learned of in S2... is that Gate like a persons Gate but on scale of that world or nation instead?
Episode 2 was more like an 8 outta 10. It made me laugh more than it did in the LN... not this specific conversation but something similar at least. Might be word for word but not sure. So it looks like they are cycling back in some cut content using these... awesome.
On the Al being Subaru topic, while I think its VERY unlikely due to the completely different personalities and Al seeming to not at all want to get very close to Subaru's group, it WOULD explain why their colour schemes are so similar, and why Al wears that helmet all the time (because otherwise everyone would see that he has the same face as Subaru), as well as Alderaban being the star that follows Subaru could be taken in a timeline sense, as in Al literally comes after Subaru, and the different VAs could of course be explained by the studio having no idea that Al is Subaru because it hasn't been revealed yet (though I'm anime only I don't know if that's true). I doubt this is true but there is a lot that lines up
I'm actually surprised the Al reveal was skipped in the anime. My personal theory is that Al is either a future subaru that returned further in time, or a subaru from a parallel timeline in relation to our subaru, I have a third theory but for now it would be spoilers to the end of the pristella arc
Garfiel Mimi RAM Garmi Garam Ramfiel Miel I would say the Ship name of those 4 I like best is MIEL Because of this pun line "Do you want to share EMIEL". vs "Ramfiel you idiot, I can fly you can't... Yes master, I can fly you can't..." yes that was a dracula dead and loving it reference for the second one.
Cuando me llegó oa notificación pensé que eran 50 minutos de video solamente para el último breaktime y me estuve riendo un buen rato XD Después cuando entré al video todo tuvo más sentido Xb
You say that anime only are working on a bad premise as many will not know this... but it is not different from WN and LN readers. We are also working on bad premises, even the idea that Al is from Japan might be a bad premise according to the new events in the novels. That is re zero, a lot of contradictory information, half truths, and lies told by characters. The way an anime only is experiencing the story is as good as anyone else. Just because they get less details doesnt make it worse.
Ram is a bit to Tsundere/Yondere for my taste. Now if you mean an open person that is equally hard love based then I might agree. Her closed off nature of not saying the exact truth she feels is the problem. Barasu being the pet name for Subaru is a good example. Its not that she does not know of Subarus intellect. Its that she cannot be open enough to just praise him when he goes beyond her expectations... rather than saying good job she is more the type to say "not as bad as I was expecting". REM on the other hand is to leinent sure. but I feel she does supportive figure better.
episode 3 was a 7 outta 10 for me. These are nice and sweet and most important they do not drag there feet. Some short episodes still waste my time with slow scenes that take to long for something to happen... then its just BS that would fit better in a half hour plus show.
Whose the most adorable between Mimi/capilla/beako/emilia/crush was it... Yep I will agree with that onechat person and say Patrache... the rest feel like a trap.
Breaktime is where a lot of cut content and context goes. What do you want them to cut in episode, because they skip the opening and ending 90% of the time already.
Bro some random guy in cawcawtv comment section say that he "caught" you faking your reaction with proof, what do you think of this? Also i don't believe that guy.
if it was some random guy on another channel then i dont think there is anything to say, it's probably a hater, i mean, the "i have proof" is only truly relevant if you actually show said proof, otherwise it's pure BS
Going to be wild to explain all the anime we've done at random (chosen by chat) on twitch live and got the same results. Its all psychology. Some people just love to invent stuff to hate or love to take screenshots and clips out of context 🤣 I mean if I'm living rent free in their heads that's hilarious.
Just because the info is dropped in a breaktime does not mean it won't be revealed in the anime. Breaktimes are not always canon to the anime as well, and as a novel reader, the breaktimes regarding Al and Beako are VERY important down the line and there's no way that it won't be mentioned at the appropriate times in the anime considering they are pretty big plot points. These breaktimes are basically just released to satiate the fans who know, and won't stop spoiling stuff that hasn't been revealed in the anime yet due to the placement being changed in the timeline. This cannot be cut content because these are crucial to the story later. Fans are just impatient.
@@-Pleiades0 all breaktimes are canon, though they arent technicaly all canon for LN/WN since yeah, this is not where Subaru learned Al is from Japan, but most are since there arent any conflicts even if its new content
the reason why i find the Al reveal a bit cheap is that not only is it done in a breaktime episode, but its done super lazily with the word "bro". as if bro was special to subaru's world lol. go back to season 1, its made an important detail that "bro" is in the slang of the people in the slums of lugunica. in arc 3 (season 1 cut content) subaru gets picked up by Al and priscilla in their carriage to go to the royal selection ceremony. when he gets on, he says "it mustve been a red string of fate" which then prompts Al to be like yo, are you from another world too? much more tasteful imo than this also guys please save your "subaru = al" theories, dont spread misinformation because that theory has no legs to stand on

Garfiel
Mimi
RAM
Garmi
Garam
Ramfiel
Miel
I would say the Ship name of those 4 I like best is MIEL
Because of this pun line
"Do you want to share EMIEL".
vs
"Ramfiel you idiot, I can fly you can't...
Yes master, I can fly you can't..."
yes that was a dracula dead and loving it reference for the second one.
There you go asking Rat questions about Subaru... you are asking the right questions at the wrong times.
Cuando me llegó oa notificación pensé que eran 50 minutos de video solamente para el último breaktime y me estuve riendo un buen rato XD
Después cuando entré al video todo tuvo más sentido Xb
Even as a passive watcher, figured it obvious Al was Japanese. Fact he's from the same town is, curious...
episode 3 was a 7 outta 10 for me.
These are nice and sweet and most important they do not drag there feet. Some short episodes still waste my time with slow scenes that take to long for something to happen... then its just BS that would fit better in a half hour plus show.
8:47 oops
Ed should peep the tarot cards sometime. Maybe even analyze them all lmao
I don’t mind that they shared this in a break time, but I am mad that break time isn’t officially translated.
Will you react to Season 1 and 2 Break time at some point ?
(There's also Petit)
Are you going to react to season 2 breaktimes?
the reason why i find the Al reveal a bit cheap is that not only is it done in a breaktime episode, but its done super lazily with the word "bro". as if bro was special to subaru's world lol. go back to season 1, its made an important detail that "bro" is in the slang of the people in the slums of lugunica. in arc 3 (season 1 cut content) subaru gets picked up by Al and priscilla in their carriage to go to the royal selection ceremony. when he gets on, he says "it mustve been a red string of fate" which then prompts Al to be like yo, are you from another world too? much more tasteful imo than this
also guys please save your "subaru = al" theories, dont spread misinformation because that theory has no legs to stand on

Subaru clone?
