    Ur last beer, couldn't miss this one.......so after this redo the bjcp styles again.......Will miss ur videos man......I have 1 question Martin, is it a good thing to skim off the hot break at the start of the boil as those are mostly the calcium salts that precipitate......and if I skim them off does affect the sulfate to chloride ratio.........don't go......cheers

    Greetings from Mumbai, Martin. To have brewed, filmed and edited 99 brew sessions is no mean feat. Incredible. I am a small-batch brewer (mostly 5 liters, sometimes 8) and my gear is primitive compared with yours (as in, fewer things to clean) and yet I find it hard to muster up energy for more than two sessions in a month! Hats off, and thank you for seeding us with new ideas/recipes.
    One question before I go: how do you manage to stay so trim despite all the beer around you? :))

    • @TheHomebrewChallenge
      @TheHomebrewChallenge  3 года назад

      Thanks! Small batch brewing is a great way to try out recipes and not be left with a full keg. Wish I’d done that with the smoke beer.

    Good on you martin have been watching your vids for a few years very enjoyable informative. I have been brewing for a few years and settled on a munich helles mostly. Some years back when i was still on coopers extract i brewed a 2 can dark coopers ale with added brown sugar. i can say this beer was beyond exceptional.So good i almost fell of my chair. I never kept records and quantities never exact but the lingering taste was so exceptional i almost fell off seat. i tried to repeat but could not get it and got average beers.but can i say i will never forget the exquisite taste. At first as the beer touched your mouth almost hard to drink but then you were floored speachless any ideas gerald NZ
