I don’t think that the crown should have their hands on Roman coins or anything that was before their time. The land owner and the one finding the treasures should reap the rewards. The queen has enough gold and silver. Just saying what I think
Finding a sunken treasure isn't worth the trouble anymore because every greedy organization that has even the remotest connection to it can lay claim and take it from you. Those guys that found that Spanish treasure should have dumped it right back in the ocean when Spain took it from them. What is sunk and lost in the sea should belong to whomever finds and recovers it not who lost it hundreds of years ago.
Love the adventure and the way things are found. Just seems once a person invests their time and money there is always a government to take it away. Usually, the government who "lost" it in the first place.
When the Government takes over the items seems like most times everyone looses. The land owner and finder do deserve the efforts. The ships need to be divided from the country of origin and the finder not the country who conquered it for the gold to begin with
This thing where you go straight into it in the first few seconds is great 👍🏻 That's the way all RUclips videos should start, imo. Keep the mincing and selling for the end. Let people figure out if the video is worth watching first.
Mohenjo Daro is even older than the pyramids of Egypt. Mohenjo Daro is 5000 years old. At that time, Mohenjo Daro was the most modern and educated city in the world. the First Tyre in the world was invented in Mohenjo Daro and the first brick in the world was also invented in Mohenjo Daro. The architecture of Mohenjo Daro has amazed the researchers till date. The good news is that Moin Jo Daro is still in its original state after 5000 years and even today tourists and researchers from all over the world keep coming to Mohenjo Daro. There are also ample facilities for tourists. Mohenjo Daro is located in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan 🇵🇰
Hey Catrina, love your posts, they are always worth a watch, thank you! PS: Leominster in England is actually pronounced “ Lemster” just another crazy English spelling with a bonkers pronunciation. 🤣
Hello Katrina! An honorable mention of valuable gold would be Bulgaria's Varna Gold Treasure. It is the oldest discovered gold, dating back to the 6th millennium BC, Copper Age. It was discovered in 1972 in an Eneolithic necropolis, found near Varna city.
Well it sounds like to me most of the time the person that finds it loses. It best just to bury it back where it was and act like you never saw it. Down right shame.
Hell nah. I'm taking it all and finding a black market antiques dealer lmao. Getting a shit price for priceless artifacts, is better than no money at all. Screw the governments that wanna steal it, simply bc its in the water off of their territory😒
@@bsbgk683 lmao , those guys tried to to sell it to some private dealers haha, .... simplest solution is to fricking melt it, you may say its bad to melt history but even if it went to the museum it wouldn't have been shown to people , it would just sit in the museum's storage where all things stay...
Something all these governments don't think of. If they would pay for these treasures instead of just confiscating them for free income ,more people would be willing to turn them in. As it is these hunters generally spend a lot of money and years of time (particularly for ship wrecks) and then might get 10% of their costs only if they are lucky when it was taken. They will not receive any percentage of the value of the recovered items. Also of note : the governments claiming the items did not even exist when they were lost.
I feel like that Spanish silver hoard found off the Portuguese coast belongs to the finder! Gimme a break! If they wanted the treasure, they should have gone and gotten it, I mean, c'mon, , "abusive litigation "? Gimme a break!
I find it such bs that Spain and other countries just claim these finds. THEY didn't find it. They didn't fund the incredibly expensive expedition. It was found at the bottom of the ocean, not on their land or even remotely near it. But because it was Spanish gold they just said, hey thanks for all of your extremely skilled and hard work, we will just go ahead and take all of that and also make you pay us one million dollars for the pleasure of us robbing you.
#10: Correction on name: The TOMB'S occupant name isn't Hi Won Ho. His name was Liu He, and his title was that of a "Ho" (🤭 🤭😝 sorry, couldn't help giggling. Sounds funny.) the Ho of HaiHun; Marquis of HaiHun. Liu He at one point was an Emperor of Changyi for a short while, in 74BC. But was desposed and then given the title of the Marquis & a fiefdom in HaiHun.
i actually have a $20 coin from the 3rd grade idk if its real its double edged with lady liberty on one side and an eagle on the back next to lady liberty on the front it says "mcmvii" and on the back with eagle "united states of america twenty dollars" i just dont know
Youre incorrect about the double eagle gold coins. The story that you told was specifically about the 1933 $20 lady liberty double eagles gold coins. $20 Lady liberty double eagle gold coins were in circulation before 1933.
here , allow them to file all the proper paper work , get all the liecences .. do ALL the work and home work .. spend months or years of thier life ..... just so some greedy lawmaker can create a new law and make it so they dont get a dime for all thier work and effort and to make matters worse .. hey yeah sue the discoverers for bad faith and make it hard to do thier job ever again ... oh by the way did i tell you they had permision while they laughed at the discoverers while they were looking ? yeah thats all fair
Gold stolen from another country and taken to another isnt the proper owners. The country in which the gold was stolen from is. Spain is exhibiting its colonial powers just how they always did
Greedy government's always the same. If you find a treasure keep ya mouth shut and melt it down. Or declare them with photos then melt them down and say you lost a rare treasure because you wouldn't let the finder keep it. The governments could buy them at auction if they want them so bad.

The moral of the story is that if you find treasure some government will steal it from you.
lol 😂 exactly this world sucks hahaa fairytales r a lie
So the moral of that is tell no one 🤫🤫🤫
You got that right!
Melt that shit down and sell it at pawn shops.
What would we ever do without the government?? 🙄
I don’t think that the crown should have their hands on Roman coins or anything that was before their time. The land owner and the one finding the treasures should reap the rewards. The queen has enough gold and silver. Just saying what I think
In the 1960s, I found a coffee can full of Indian Head pennies in my grandmother’s 200 years old garden in NY.
I think the Spanish need to return all the gold they stole from America, the gold belongs to the country they stole it from, not Spain or England.!!
That was my thoughts on the subject. It's rightful owner is the native Americans.
Right on!!!!

You are absolutely right! It is downright criminal that a government throws some law together so they can claim ownership!
They should return it to the Natives from which they were stolen from.

Treasure hunters! Remember the 11th commandment: Don't get caught!
Greed of man even is always destructive
The Odesey should dump the coins overboard and let the Spanish find them all themselves, to fine the ship 1 million is just wrong.

How come “The Wreck of the Unbelievable “ is never mentioned in great treasures found?

The main question still persists: did he manage to find his hammer?
The only treasure that I've found is my wive. Some other men claimed possesion but the registry office decided that I can keep her.
That's not fair how they take what you find and sale it to the highest bidder for themselves that is so unfair what they are doing

Great video. Governments are awfully greedy.
I found a 20 once at Target..
Just goes to show, regardless of century, if you find someone elses valuables, turn them in to the authorities!
The only greed I see here comes from the governments- not the people who found the treasures.
It’s actually illegal to own or have in your possession 1933 double eagles
I guess they met " Ben Dover"

love the videos, although i never comment. this whole segment just shows the greed of governments :(

Sorry, if I find a treasure, giving it to any government is not an option!
Melt it down and add a few minerals to it so they can't trace it.
