Our Australian allies in all of the 20th Century wars are terribly unacknowledged. They are among the toughest adversaries in the world and very good people in all ways.
Thanks mate, we try and have a go..place is getting a bit diluted by little minds, big ego's and greed but that's everywhere I guess.
We express our gratitude to the Australian heroes who fought in the Korean War.
Thankyou for that. I once had a conversation with a former 77RAAF pilot, it would have been in the 1980s. He told me that the pilots used to sing “All I want for Xmas is my wings swept back” in parody of a popular ‘50s song “All I want for Xmas is my 2 front teeth”. Thankyou for that video. Very informative.
It's unfortunate that I can only hit the like button once, I'd give this many more if I could. Brilliant stuff, many thanks. Video had 77 likes when I found it, almost seemed fitting to leave it that way but had to add another.
Thanks so much - as you can imagine there is a lot of work that goes into these videos so really love it that there is appreciation for what we do. We have many naysayers who can only see the minor faults and love to shout about them, so really appreciate the positive comments!
Koreans acknowledges and eternally thankful to all Australian arm forces that held communists back in 50s. We hope our next generation will continue to be victorious over communists from North Korea, China and Russia.
May God bless and keep Australia safe forever!
A truly excellent production, well done. Please keep making these, I'm sure sooner or later you'll start to get the audience numbers you deserve!
Good on you all Australians .
It’s often forgotten that the Commonwealth countries were under Australian command in the Korean War, just as they were in the Occupation of Japan.
The music in these documentaries is pretty awsome
Just wanna say that you're not only knowledgeable but also a very captivating narrator (pretty uncommon in military/defense history YT). ur an instant sub!
Excellent! Thank you!
Could you also do some clips about 36 transport squadron as I know they also flew in Korea as I have some photos of my uncle Reg Burr with the pilots of 77
We will get there - there are so many stories to tell! If we can get this channel to a place where we can do it full time, then we will be able to cover a lot more. Thanks for sharing our channel with others!
The first minute of this video taught me a lot. For some reason, I never learned that Korea was split between the USSR and US after WWII, and always assumed the North just developed different political views, somewhat as with Vietnam. The start of the war makes far more sense now, especially as to why the UN got involved.
Can't belive it only has 4k views. Amazing video!
Thanks Brian - I'd have thought that this video would have done better - it took a lot to produce this doco. But, for whatever reason, a story about an F-111 wing-pivot crack is 10X more interesting to viewers than the history of 77SQN in Korea. I've a lot more of these deeper dives into campaigns that I'd like to do, but given how much time they take and the apparent lack of interest, I hesitate to make the commitment.
@@raafdocumentaries Keep loading these videos under more headings and it will soon strike. Sometimes, these videos dont get the presentation up front that they deserve. This was an excellent piece of work, and I am sure that with vivibility, it will be a hit. Maybe just leave the "documentry" out of the heading. Keep up the excellent work. Loved it!
@@sqnhunterx Thanks - will change the title if you think that will make a difference.
@@raafdocumentaries Check around and look at some other successful videos that are similar...and check what the key words are with them ..this will be what the people are searching for. Its all about just finding the interest groups and what they look for. Documentary just puts many off thinking its something they have seen before. I have seen some of this before..but not coalated so well, if at all. Good luck, bro!
This is an amazing documentary about a very overlooked topic. One question, what is the song you used for that collag at around 26:36?
Oz are ace
How's about one on the light horsemen. Of WW1 .
