I blame myself for closing myself off. I didn't leave because I hated him but because we had become cold and sometimes mean to each other. I regret not having shown him more love in the last part of our relationship as I know he needed it. By leaving, I believed I would give him the change to meet someone who will understand him better. It's a decision that has hurt both of us however, I am trying to make a good decision for the future. Even though we've separated before and got back together trying to fix things, we still ended up repeating history all over again.
