Leslie Parrott is one of my heroes. I was a new mom. How new? 2 days since my daughter was born when Allison disappeared. This story will haunt me for life. As I looked at my new baby girl, my heart broke for Leslie, another mother whose tragedy surrounded us all. It was a different day. Before Toronto lost its innocence during the Bernardo/Homolka murders. We encouraged girls to be independent, in a remarkably safe city. I myself had taken the subway downtown the 1st time at age 10. That's how it was. 1986 started the trend of keeping our kids closer to us. I've never let mine out of my sight as a child. Where I went, she went. This case and Christine Jessop showed up's that true evil is among us, even in Toronto.
I grew up with Stay Alert Stay Safe, I never knew what inspired that safety campaign for kids. I honestly feel like they should remake Stay Alert Stay Safe with relevant social issues for kids today. My school used to play the full episodes of Stay Alert Stay Safe and I'm honestly so grateful for everything it thought us. May Allison's memory live on forever in the hearts of us all 💗💗💗💗
I feel so much hurt for this mother. If you could see the sex offender registry in my neighborhood in Union City, NJ. You would pass out. They live among us. Always be careful.🙁🙁🙁
I have 2 daughters. I am extremely overprotective because we have a sex offender registry in America. They do it by zip code. It is unbelievable how many are in but this neighborhood. God bless them all.
@@adeverger I wish we had that in Canada, but we’re not allowed to. I watch my kids like a hawk, they’re my life and I love them so much, I never want them to suffer.
My name is also Allison, I was born the same year and live downtown Toronto. This tragedy was the reason why my parents were so overprotective. I wasnt allowed to take public transit till college!!!
Such a great mother with deep and touching words. I could feel every moment she has been through all these years. RIP Allison ❣❣🙏 May world become a better place for children like you someday. 😢❤
RIP Allison, your beautiful life was tragically, cruelly and so senselessly taken, on my 12th birthday (25 July 1986). I never knew you but, I will always remember you on my birthday XX
If her mother is any indication (and I think she is), Alison life would have made a beautiful difference in the world. She left a legacy, and that is good. But there is still an Alison-shaped hole in the world where she is supposed to be.
Leslie Parrot is a TRUE, KIND and LOVING WOMAN. May God give you strength to carry your cross. I remember as a kid when this happened so sad what happened to this BEAUTIFUL SOUL.....RIP Allison Parrot.
I cant velieve there are so few comments here. I lived in toronto at the time and remember this case well. Such a horrific crime. Such an evil man !!!! Rip allison. So sad for the family....
How brave are these parents? The mother holds her dignity whilst her heart is broken 💔 Bless their daughter & may she rest in peace 🌹♥️ And may they carry on staying strong, though I can’t imagine their pain! Bless their son too ♥️
John Douglas, FBI profiler, wrote about this crime in his book The Cases That Haunt Us. Also noted that Francis Roy was likely surprised that Alison Parrott showed up alone.
Seen the stay alert- stay safe commercials constantly on all TVs as a kid growing up in Canada in the 90’s. So happy to know the origin now. Rest peacefully angel ♥️
What an amazing mother. And great police work. Hope the f family and the police guy Steve Irwin succeed in keeping him in jail. Beautiful legacy for Alison x
I Remember This case & I STILL REMEMBER HER BEAUTIFUL INNOCENT FACE . I had jusf moved to Toronto from Nova Scotia the year before . I remember this all over the news & the Toronto sun news paper . Stuff like this NEVER happens in the small town I’m from or even NS we never heard of such crimes. This case i STILL REMEMBER TO THIS DAY !! AND I STILL REMEMBER HER FACE … may she rest in peace … we think it could NEVER HAPPEN IN OUR OWN FAMILY!! Well In 2008 my 7 yr old niece was murdered by her caregivers.her name is Katelynn Sampson.. her face was all over the news like Allison case . And like Holly Jones . These yg Girls cases will stay/stick in our memories forever.. 💙🙏🏽🕊️💙🙏🏽🕊️MAY THEY ALL REST IN PEACE…. Love&Prayers from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦❤️🙏🏽🇨🇦
Cried my bloody eyes out on this one. P.S. I totally remember the "Stay Alert, Stay Safe" Rabbit PSAs! What a terrible reason they came into existence.
The mother of the child Christine jessop who went to the funeral ,has peace now knowing her child's Killer was found. Toronto Police Chief James Ramer identified Calvin Hoover as Jessop’s murderer. He was 28 at the time of the case and he died in 2015 of suicide . He was the husband of a woman who worked with Christine's dad. And Francis Carl Roy, 41, was found guilty of first-degree murder Tuesday in 11-year-old Alison's death. The jury that convicted him was prevented from hearing evidence that at the time Alison was raped and strangled in 1986, Roy was out on parole for the rape of a 14-year-old girl. Roy had also been convicted previously of raping a 19-year-old woman. He tricked both women into leaving public places. Alison was lured into leaving her home to have her picture taken by a man posing as a photographer for a sports magazine.
The courts (especially the sentencing guidelines) lean towards the perpetrators. The Police however are exceptional. To not be pressured in to speedy resolution but rather accurate resolution is impressive.
Kudos Steve Irwin for your dedication to solving this crime. As for critics below of Canada's justice system. It's very faulty. No different than UK, Australia and most US states.
"...made my throat close.". Wow that is an apt description of that feeling I get too, well put. Canada and Australia and the UK all have lousy justice systems. Some people should never be born.
Why do we let child rapists go free? How can our society see that as something that can be forgiven?! People get more for theft. What pathetic priorities
It is beyond my understanding how and why, people in their thousands would gather to thank an imaginary being for the death of a beautiful young woman. A death these same believers also believe could only have been part of said beings "plan".
Alison’s mother is such an elegant and kind soul. Such a strong woman. May Alison Rest In Peace.

NEVER EVER give child killers/molesters a chance at parole!!!
Life should mean life. Not possible parole.
Her mother is very touching in her words. Sad.
I feel so much hurt for this mother. If you could see the sex offender registry in my neighborhood in Union City, NJ. You would pass out. They live among us. Always be careful.🙁🙁🙁

Watching Crime Beat it still shocks me the little times these offenders get.
"there is no closure of losing a child, because there is no closure of love" 😢❤ RIP Alison 💕
I'm ashamed to be Canadian sometimes. Our "justice" system is a joke
My name is also Allison, I was born the same year and live downtown Toronto. This tragedy was the reason why my parents were so overprotective. I wasnt allowed to take public transit till college!!!
Such a terrible story! I have 2 girls and cannot imagine how we would be able to handle that tragedy. Much love and support to the family.
Such a great mother with deep and touching words. I could feel every moment she has been through all these years. RIP Allison ❣❣🙏 May world become a better place for children like you someday. 😢❤

wow I remember seeing those stay alert, stay safe commercials as a child! so sad to know now that it was created because of what happened to Alison.
If her mother is any indication (and I think she is), Alison life would have made a beautiful difference in the world. She left a legacy, and that is good. But there is still an Alison-shaped hole in the world where she is supposed to be.
What a kind, impressive, admirable woman her mother is!
...Such a beautiful soul...you are remembered with love, darling Allison 🖤🦋🖤
I just love how the mum called Alison spunky, just lovely. If you haven’t had a spunky daughter, you won’t understand
Poor Alison, what a beautiful talented little girl ❤️ And feel so sad for the family, sending love and prayers x
Wow Alisons mom is such a wonderful lady❤️
Francis Roy was denied parole in 2023 and was deemed a high risk of reoffending if released.
Leslie Parrot is a TRUE, KIND and LOVING WOMAN. May God give you strength to carry your cross. I remember as a kid when this happened so sad what happened to this BEAUTIFUL SOUL.....RIP Allison Parrot.

So sad . My daughter was born on July 25th. Can’t even imagine how it is to lose a child . My heart goes out to her and her family ❤️
It's 2021. So sad. There is no reason to release that remorseless threat to society. Ever.
I remember the "Stay Alert, Stay Safe" ads. Dear Allison. Rest in Peace. You have an amazing mother.
Thanks for upload
How sad for that poor girl .Her mum is so brave .
I pray the keep him in jail so another child does not have to loose their life and a parent loose their child.
Loose or lose 🥴
Spelling *lose* incorrectly twice should be considered a jail sentence offence.
There's no need to murder the English language.
Powerful, beautiful tribute to Alison. I was choking back tears at the end. Crime beat is always so well done and sensitive to the family ❤
What a very sweet mother she has. ♥️
As I say at every one of these shows I watch, the Canadian justice system is a joke. Why do they even utter the phrase life sentence?
How brave are these parents? The mother holds her dignity whilst her heart is broken 💔 Bless their daughter & may she rest in peace 🌹♥️ And may they carry on staying strong, though I can’t imagine their pain! Bless their son too ♥️
What a beautiful little girl🦄. She is in heaven with her maker, and one day he will be with his 👹.
“No closure of love” 💔

as a parent I empathize with this family...so very sorry ....
I couldn't go on if someone stole my daughter from me, so respect for this lady being able to continue on and to make the world a better place.
I feel for Alison's mother 💔
So many evil individuals out there.
Seen the stay alert- stay safe commercials constantly on all TVs as a kid growing up in Canada in the 90’s. So happy to know the origin now. Rest peacefully angel ♥️

What a sad story, her mother is an angel though what a beautiful person, Lesly is.
Leslie you are such a caring woman, so so sorry for your loss. Alison will always be remembered 😢❤ hugs from Ireland 🇮🇪
I remember that stay alert stay safe ad from school as a kid in Manitoba
Every parent would approve of their child's friendship with Allison, she was just that special.
The mother of the child Christine jessop who went to the funeral ,has peace now knowing her child's Killer was found.

Another judge with blood on his hands for giving bail to this sex offender.
Thanks so much for dna and viclas
Aww. The picture of Alison and her baby brother @44:35 is so sweet. Bless this family. ❤
What an amazing strong woman. I hope alison is at peace.
The courts (especially the sentencing guidelines) lean towards the perpetrators. The Police however are exceptional. To not be pressured in to speedy resolution but rather accurate resolution is impressive.
Our friends in the north. Please do not that that monster out of his cell... ever.
11 years old and out travelling around downtown Toronto alone?
Hard no. No.no.no. Absolutely terrible idea.
So many good girls are taken 😢
God Bless you MS. Murray. I believe Alison would be quite proud of her mother🙏.
Such a sad story. What a lovely lady...Can I detect a hint of a Scottish accent in her voice?
What a beautiful sweet mama. A really special woman. Of course Alison was special. ❤
I thought about the phone records also to try to locate who called her.
Kudos Steve Irwin for your dedication to solving this crime. As for critics below of Canada's justice system. It's very faulty. No different than UK, Australia and most US states.
RIP Alison 🙏
Her Mam❤️
This justice system stinks
But finally justice!!! God bless this Angel and family.
Blessings to your family. Someday your family will be together again.
We are sent special angels to improve this world of its evilness 😇
Australia 💕 Christina
The mother is so comforting to me I’m not sure why. She’s so brave.
God he is so disgusting. So disgusting. His statements made my throat close
"...made my throat close.". Wow that is an apt description of that feeling I get too, well put. Canada and Australia and the UK all have lousy justice systems. Some people should never be born.
25 years?????!!!!! 🤔
Why do we let child rapists go free? How can our society see that as something that can be forgiven?! People get more for theft. What pathetic priorities
"we all encouraged independence." a better time. hope it cycles back very soon.
I didn’t watch the whole episode yet..but I wonder if they had the ability to pull phone records
Why would they release sex offenders I can never understand. They’ll keep doing it pretty obvious. But still they are on loose among us. So damn sad!
Absolutely disgusting; Rest peacefully sweet girl.
What the narrator had to say at the end was beautiful
Rip Alison 🙏🌹
R.I.P Alison your a angel now and you can fly high and look down at your family 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
His attempt to explain the genetic evidence is laughable...
6 days to deliberate?
Omg I’m binging ❤️❤️❤️
20 years Inst justice
This channel should cover Canada's first spree killer, Matthew Charles Lamb!
Folks get more time for weed, gtfoh. 🙄
shocking she was close to my age. horrific
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
This is similar to the girl who was going to babysit, and went into the man's car, and was later found dead. They never caught him.
😩🥺🤬😔💔
Beautiful Scottish lilt
What a horrible story.
A ladybird 🐞 for Alison 🌹♥️
Sounds like someone who knew her
Sad
Is there a God when such a beautiful young child has to suffer in such way?
That repulsive music in the back - juste tears the brain!😮😮😮
Dont worry
Awe no way seriously
❤️🌈
🙁🙁🙁
Targeted because she was high profile.😢
another awesome Steve Irwin
