Avani is mostly known to the childless couples who visit this place to receive the blessing from Goddess Parvati but what is not known to many is that this is the same place where the great sage Valmiki had his Ashram during the treta yuga and this place is also mentioned in the Uttara Ramayana written by sage Valmiki. Today I will give you a full tour of this wonderful place where Valmiki Ashram is said to have been located

- Sita ji kuteer with utensils used and kids jhula
- The place where the horse was tied by Luv Kush during Ashwamedha Yagya
- Place where Sita jee sat and witnessed the battle between Luv Kusha and brothers of Lord Rama
- Sita jee went inside the earth after handing over Luva Kush to Lord Rama
- Group of Ramalingeswara temples dating back to 10th Century
- This place is also mentioned in Mahabharatha as the place where Pandavas spent some time of their exile (the Agyaatvaas!)

Hope you like this video where we cover the ancient town of Avani near Bangalore. According to locals, this is the same place where Luv and Kush were born and Sita Ji went into the Earth after handing over the kids to Rama. Please comment and let us know if there are any other places that you would want us to cover!
You missed one More place on hill top called Horalu gundu. Visit in next time all the best
Great. Little known to people. Such religious sites should be explored n videos uploaded to popularized. Lots of people would love to visit n boost tourism n employment for locals. But such places should be kept well maintained by charging entry fee say Rs 50 per head to fund the services. Due to poor hygiene people avoid going there.Sorry but in some places experience not good. Hope it is taken in right spirit.Jai sita ram.
Am from Ethiopia. I studied in India. I have been to Bangalore. I have not heard of this place. I would have loved to visit this place if I had know about it. I am very interested in historical places. India has many historical places. I believe one life time is not enough to visit all the places in India. It's a very ancient country so the history is vast.
Been here today. Loved the experience. Met the same guide who explained everything. Not at all crowded even on weekend. Rocks weren't slippery hence even my mother, who will be 64 years old tomorrow, was able to climb effortlessly. If any of you have liked this, I suggest you to go to Kishkindha, the birth place of Hanuman, near Hampi. For Kishkindha you'll need to climb all the way to the top of the Trek barefeet, but Avani Betta you can climb wearing footwear to top, of course remove slippers when entering Valmiki Ashram, Devi Sita's home, PanchaPandava Devasthana etc. Thanks TGF team
Big Thumsup for the Kid who spoke about wearing full panta.. he sounded cute and sincere 😍

4:37 { Temples are constructed in the Dravidian style and they were constructed in the 10th century by the Nolamba dynasty }
Definitely a nice place. But the Lava Kusha story sounds made-up - likely to attract tourists.
Lava Kusha were born in Valmiki ashram, which was located at the confluence of 3 rivers - Tamasa, Gandaki & Son. This should be somewhere in present day UP-Nepal. Also, this would be close to both Ayodhya (UP) & Mithila (Nepal). It doesn't make sense Sita maa came all the way south which was an unknown land far away from home, leaving the safety of the kingdoms of her husband and father.
If you Google, you'll find places like Valmiki Tiger Reserve etc. near UP-Nepal border, which is where the ashram ought to be.
Other issues: Agni Pariksha, which the guide mentioned, didn't happen in Valmiki ashram. Ashrams are generally not situated on top of hills hard to go up & down, far away from sources of water. If you pay attention to scriptures, ashrams have always been close to some body of water - river banks, sangam etc which was very important for daily rituals, consumption and bath.
We enjoyed the place and the story. BTW we have also done a video about Bithoor - where valmiki ashram is said to have been located. The location might be debatable but the story is real! :-)
Really interested and amazing explanation
Glad to hear that!
13:22 { Pandavas from Mahabarath }
Very nice recommendation to wear full pants
Very nice explanation. I recently visited the place, i should have seen this video before visiting the place.... one thing which you seem to have missed is Hurulubande behind Sita devi temple. That was also very exciting. Maybe next time you visit, you should see that spot....
Yes, definitely
Very good information.thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
why are you using the word 'Mythology'? Its history! The Britishers did a great job in making some Indian's believe it's Mythology! But the truth is the whole world takes inspiration from Indian Spiritual knowledge that comes from the Veda. So the next video you make please never use the word Mythology, you would look like a fool making videos on a Mythology anyway. :-) By the way nice video! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, this stuck me as well...these folks have no shame in incorrectly using the word 'Mythology', instead of history.
Very good information
Thanks
Bangalore to thirupathi road near
Nice 👌
Thanks
I don’t see the reason for the second TGF logo near the middle of the screen. It just cluttered the presentation.

When Hemanshi Verma is rejoining TGF?
Yes, but after marriage also, same earlier career can be continued.
the 360 degree view is so irritating, cant see anything. Unnecessary use of 360 degree.
How much did guide charged you
Rs. 400 at that time.
Ram me sita ko kis jungal me cchoda tha? UP ke jungal me ya
Sauth ke jungal me?

6:13 Wait, Rama was a Shivite? Worshipped another god? Asked for forgiveness?
My parents hid this secret from me!!
balmiki ashrama is located at Nepal.
You are saying as if Sita Mata is your childhood friend or something. Respect everyone’s religion and the least you can do is add God/Goddess before the names.
This is false original place in uttar Pradesh
