Crazy how some of the team members are in a real shooting slump, and they're still 6-2. Aside from CP3's coordination of the offense and limiting turnovers (HUGE for the Warriors historically), it's the DEFENSE of the Warriors that looks special already. GP2 is looking like a 1st team all defense/DPOY candidate, and the entire team from starting unit to bench all play as a cohesive unit on the defensive end. Very special start to the season.

They could just as easily be 2-6. CP3 doesn't look good out there. I don't think he has changed anything. Wiggins is the one who looks horrible. GP2 is my favorite. It's just hilarious seeing him guarding centers by the post at 6'3.

He hasn't been that great. It could get better. He provides assists, he provides almost zero offensive points. 4 points in 3 games. 1, 0, and 3. If the bench players aren't hitting their shots, it would be nice if CP3 could at least do it. Ironically, Green has had a few good games with 15 and 3's. We can't have 2 triple singles players.

Being able to let the starters be able to go to the bench without worrying about the second team is a huge asset and its letting us win games we would have lost last year. The Laker trade was a different situation entirely. And Stern didn't deny the trade over talent disparity with Kobe and Paul being a super team. The trade was denied because the NBA had receivership over CP's team via bankruptcy. The trade of CP would have diminished the value of the team. Stern was required to keep the value of CP's team as high as possible so the team would sell for the highest price. So Stern kept CP as the fiduciary for the team as Paul added value to the sale. It wasn't about talent or disparity.

The only worry I had was would CP3 be okay with not being the main point guard in the team, he does have pride after all. I just wish he was there for another few more years but he'd have to take a salary reduction to stay and content with playing the sixth man, which I dont see happening. I'm surprised that not many other teams don't utilize aging veterans onto their bench, the way the Warriors have it, I'd take a CP3 led bench lineup more than any other bench in the NBA right now. That's the secret to their success so far.

Chris Paul been around for a long long time. He has been a consistently good player if not even great. The lakers wanted him over a decade ago but the League would not allow it. Hmph! Now Chris finally gets to be on a real powerhouse championship team. Good Luck to him.

They won’t regret it. They blocked it before because it was Brons turn to shine. They love Steph, Jokic, and all the young talent these days. They won’t mind the warriors getting good press since the Lakers aren’t a serious contender like that Miami team was those years.

Shame they won’t go deep into the playoffs because they don’t have rim protection. They are a quality big man from winning the title.
A big man who has offensive capabilities and is committed to defense.
The last two teams playing will have such players.
Too bad,too because I love the Warriors.

9 assist translate to 18 points, 3 assists translate to 6 points 18 and 8 is 24 and 17 and 6 is 23. actually Paul's stat is better. specially TRB. which give you 4 extra chance compare to just 2.

lol, I don’t expect him to be there at the trade deadline…once teams exploit the weak defense when curry and him are on the court at the same time…we will see some issues.
He really doesn’t fit on gsw as far as I’m concerned…teams will catch up to their weakness

The league vetoing a trade is flat out wrong. People should want to see the best raise and dominance by one team or an individual only increases the overall levels of competition in the area they compete in.

David Stern did NOT veto the CP3 trade to pair him up with Kobe. The New Orleans team didn't have an owner, so the team owners got to vote on it and they obviously didn't want that problem.
Stern merely announced the decision. Otherwise a great video.

Josh Cornelissen of Blue Men Hoops pretty much lays out why the Warriors aren't trying to hire a big man. The Warriors hired Gui to save money and not so much to help win games. Money is also why they can't hire D. Howard or any other big man. I wish, they had said it up front.

    • @jovalleau
      @jovalleau Год назад

Eh, maybe. He would give them a LEGIT BIG finally. Imagine Looney not having to go up against every 7 footer, so you can keep him out there since you don't lose a scoring threat, and gain some rim protection potential. Would he gel with the team, though?

    • @bandito241

    • @maplenerd22

I don't think they could have gotten Porzingus for just Poole. The only reason Wizard agreed to this deal is because they wanted to get rid of Paul anyways. Porzingus had a lot more value than just Poole.
