I heard Natalie with the Minnesota Orchestra here in Minneapolis - twice - and two of the most amazing and thrilling concerts we have ever had here.

We are very lucky and proud to have such a brilliant conductor as Nathalie Stutzmann here in Atlanta. Thanks to all our talented musicians of ASO for bringing us the delight of classical music ❤

Fabulous!! I love it when a conductor brings a clear and vivid image/ expression to their work.. Bravo Maestro! I look forward to enjoying more of your work with one of my favorite orchestra's.

Why is it good that they only have a few rehearsals? Maybe they need more rehearsals and a full-time music director.

It is just standard in unionized major American orchestras - a few rehearsals for each concert are all there are. Nathalie Stutzmann is the full time music director of the ASO.

It's not good that rehearsal time is limited it's just a matter of economics it's the same as in the UK. Conductors need to be very well prepared and clear about what they want and she is singing and body language can be more efficient than purely verbal explanations

@@frogmouth thanks. I posted that comment because whenever I hear the ASO, it sounds like they never rehearse it together. Technically it’s good and nobody misses notes, but the musicality and phrasing seems lacking. It’s like just another gig.

She is a very good performer,we all know.! But to say the truth I find this way of rehearsing with a professional orchestra not at all interesting or appropriate, whereas it might be perfect for children, for kids. With adult musicians as conductor, some cultural elements need to be included; in theory, it is not necessary to explain to them the simplest and most basic elements of a piece of music, especially the repertoire.
Even less than hearing a conductor give examples with the voice....
