CAT cold start on a pipelayer side-boom

Here we have the elusive open cab pipe-layer or better known as a "side boom". We use these all year round in Canada, when winter hits we tarp the cab in with umbrellas as struts for the canvas makeshift teepee and remove the floor pans as well as rotating the engines mechanical fan blades reverse, so the fan now pulls air from the engine bay and throws it towards the rear of the machine up through the floor pan and warms up the operator in -40 degree celsius weather .
