- Testing an AURORA Generator that's powered by a Yanmar Diesel Motor.
We build these for rental companies, homes, and businesses. Before we load test it, we took it outside for a quick test run. The enclosure is a new design of ours and we wanted to see how quiet it is. As you can see and hear, it's no louder than my voice. Sure, it's without a load but loading it up does not change it much. We will show that in another video.
For this generator, we used a Yanmar three-cylinder engine. We also build them with Caterpillar, Perkins, and Hatz diesel engines. The generator is sitting on a 50-gallon fuel tank. Larger 100-gallon tanks are also available for both Canada and the USA. So is a trailer.
The instrumentation and control are provided by a DynaGen TG410 controller. It's a tough Genset controller we use in all our generators. It even monitors fuel level, power consumption, and all the normal stuff you would expect it to do.
We will show another video when the generator is cleaned up and labeled.

@@fireboltaz Aurora is an American company. Yanmar is a Japanese diesel engine manufacturer (Osaka). Aurora also uses Perkins diesel engines which are made by Caterpillar.
