Miss those games, it was a different time for sure. No woke, the game was far more intense and less PI, no defenseless receiver and Summeral/Madden covered the great games. I loved how Madden used to always figure out a way to talk about Jumbo Elliott. Dexter Manley really screwed up his life... What a waste.

Of course, I was a kid, but those great teams of 1982-1991 were as much a part of my childhood as anything else. I lived for Sunday and watching the Skins on WDBJ-7 out of Roanoke, VA.

To the contrary Walter White. The injury to Theismann was a blessing in disguise, as his QB skills had declined markedly by 1985. It provided him with a graceful exit and prevented Gibbs with the tough decision of having to bench him later that year for Schroeder. Theismann's last good year was '84. Without his injury they probably never would have signed Doug Williams as a backup in '86, which led to the Schroder/Williams QB by committee in '87. Suffice it to say that without Theismann's MNF injury in '85, the Redskins would not have won the Super Bowl two years later.

What the quarterback lines up behind center takes a few steps back and then throws a pass? Or hands off the ball to the running back not in the shot gun position? Boy has the game changed over the years!!

Oh how close the mighty Redskins were to be in the team of the '80s and not the 49ers honestly they were every bit as dominant as the 49ers was in the '80s they just missed out on a play here to play there from winning like five super bowls

How the hell do you keep a Redskins logo and use the Commanders name; or the Redskins name and the W logo? Both would be fucking stupid. Keep it as is. How do two people come up with this stupid shit?
