Not the town I grew up in.....can remember a dog track in Queens Park, the olde factories, catching buses in Midland Road and Silver Street, The Bear pub along with Goldings, Poppins and All Ears on the High Street, The Angel on Elstow Road, think the small cafe on Midland Road opposite The Beehive Centre as it used to be called, was Alfonses......adverts for London Underground on the walls. B & M used to be M & S...says it all about the place really............bet the riverside is still beautiful though, and Priory Country Park!
All towns have changed so much ...they always do i suppose ...theres alot of places that haven't changed and wont for a very long time....im just back from the Cotswolds areas ....no change there anytime soon i wouldnt think
Why do we not see more buskers? Makes shopping more bearable. Bedford has 2 wicked festivals too, every other year, Bedford Kite Festival & Bedford River Festival, great days out, especially for families. That church, wow, it like a tardis
I havent been to Bedford in around ten years now, i barely recognise it. I hope the musical floor is still near Burger King on the high street, classic part of Bedford's ambience.
Yes, Bedford has a market every Wednesday and Saturday but as far as I'm concerned Bedford stopped being a market town when they got rid of the cattle market on Commercial Road back in the 1970's. At the beginning of this video you were on about the architecture but have shown extremely little about it. Instead of walking up and down Midland Road and showing us the alcoholics sitting on benches at the bus station you should have walked along the High Street were the majority of the buildings have had an awful lot of work done and brought back to the way they used to look originally. I wasn't impressed by the lens you used as the almost fish eye appearance distorted quite a bit.
My beautiful Bedford I left too soon!
It will always be there x
Hello fellow vlogger. Nice content!! I have been to Bedford too recently.

Thank you America !!
Been near Bedford since 1978 and it’s staggering how much it’s changed. There are still some decent bits, but it ain’t all that.
My dad had a Bedford van
brilliant ! I had one as well x

The women i met in the church said they welcomed any footage as even St Pauls church like most other churches is struggling

Actually, the musical floor is/was on Harpur Street where it almost at the junction to Midland Road and Silver Street.
The Poundland is gone tho. Or rather moved to Midkand Road.
I live in bedford
It's the river Great Ouse not the ouze.
Well spotted thanks for correcting that thank you
Yeah, Ouze is a Greek anise drink and they only drink cider in Bedford. Is Terrorvision still around?
@@johnmcdermott2551 love a bit of Ouzo 😊

Jehovah Witnesses are always standing there... :)
One Italian shop in town centre and one Italian church near town centre.
