Hi All, just a quick note, on the Face Speed part of the Ranking, the image at 5:55 is the correct ranking, the ranking after the club images were of the previous topic (whoopsy in editing sorry 🙂) 👍
Most if not all others only have their opinion and feelings to go on. The data they collect if at all is very small and potentially full of holes once scrutinised. The work I do is painstaking, and frustrating also sometimes when the amount of work is put in to create the heatmaps and all the footage and editing for the video not to do well. But, what's fair for one iron is fair for another so all the hard work is put in nonetheless to ensure the Best Comparison Tool for everyday golfers (held on my Discord) is constantly updated and includes all the latest tested equipment 👍 Thanks very much for your kind words 👍
Never seen a go faster stripe on a club........wait we have an idea now..... Lets spray one on the length of the shaft and across the face and see if I can swing it quicker, or it just looks like it goes faster when looking at it in the bag 😀👍
Absolutely, it does incredibly well considering its cost and that it hasn't changed that much over time. Up for a refresh very soon and from the word around the water cooler is that its another small tweak rather than any revamp..... If its not broke..... 🙂
Very true although always the old versions are standard stock only or pre custom fit orders so unable apart from lie and loft bending to be fitted to someone new 👍
Your breakdown of the Ai200 is spot on. When i tried them at a fitting, I was able to get them going as my ball striking was pretty good that day. Tried them at a couple shops after, and plain could not hit them. Another great video 🙌🏽
They are a great club, for certain golfers at certain times. Really good at getting the ball launching and has a really good face speed.... Just needs to work a little better on overall forgiveness to be a serious contender for most amateur golfers 👍
Going to PXG to film. Will be fitted into all the irons and then will be doing each of them in reviews coming soon. All fully face heat mapped to see how well they really work 👍👍
Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is wonderful, how you go into details, how you weigh all the different aspects which could make a club work for a certain type of player or not. The work you put into this is astounding, and we are all better off because of it. Having said that, I guess it is really impudent to wish for a comparison with older models as well. For those of us who are looking for bargains on model, which are already outphased 😉
Thank you 😊 I will always help out if i can so feel free to put your comparison suggestions below! If I have them to hand and if there is enough call for it, I'll absolutely add it to my list 👍
@@AskGolfNut Well, if you are willing.... 😀 Mizuno JPX 923 Forged are a set, which are on sale right now, and I believe that they would fall into this category as well. I, for one would appreciate a comparison with the irons you covered in this video. Thank you.
@@AskGolfNut Typo in my original reply, which made it read like I wasn't making much sense, I fear. I meant the JPX923 Forged, but in the meantime, I have watched most of the direct comparison videos you made with them.
I love trying out new clubs with global golf. While I have greatly enjoyed hitting a few sets (most recently the TM p7cb's), they make me appreciate my zx5's more every time. I loved hitting the p7cb's, the sound and feel for me was as good as (if not better than) the mizuno 243's, another personal favorite. While the dispersion numbers front to back tightened, it doesn't justify spending more while the zx5's are an absolute bargain and perform almost as well.
The fact that you are testing them is the best thing, you never know when the next iron head and shaft combo will unlock a hidden piece of handicap reduction. Seen it many times and that's why I test in the detail I do. Keep enjoying testing new stuff 👍
Wow, what an analysis. Great work on presenting the data and being non-biased. This reaffirms my satisfaction with my purchase of Srixon ZX5's this year... love them!
Love all these comparisons. Especially the heat maps. Just joined bronze membership to get access to your heat map database. Very interesting to compare irons. Gives me confidence that I've got a good deal of forgiveness with my Pro 223 irons. Cheers!
All coming very soon. I have to re film the videos as I've updated the forgiveness heading to try and make it more representatively understandable. I've got an update to this video to do as some feedback surrounding this requires me to do a small update. Then the Game Improvement video will be coming and the Players afterwards to follow 👍
This is defo on the cards and the heat map process for mapping driver faces is now functioning. We have a few Drivers already mapped and on my Discord for my RUclips Members to view. All the new releases will be heatmap'd also as they come out to generate a Driver database of the most forgiving and the Driver that hits closest to its Max from off centre strikes. We have a 42 iron strong database currently, all current models so it is fastly becoming the most comprehensive comparison tool around 👍
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to the AGN community 👍 there is a discord server where other golfers randomly chat and talk about golf (link in the description), feel free to drop by there also 👍
Great analysis. Maybe I just like it for confirmation bias as I switched the LIMIT3D this summer. They really are fantastic. The forgiveness is real. I would rate them just ok on feel. I supposed within the category the feel is good. But compared to the T100S I switched from - the feel is not great. You do get good feedback which is nice. While they are very forgiving low and toe as the data showed, you can definitely still tell when you miss low or toe or heel. That’s a good thing in my mind as a lot of forgiving irons don’t provide any feedback. I can’t explain what I don’t love about the feel. Just different coming from blades / players cavity backs.
Absolutely if you are coming from those types of irons then nothing will feel quite the same. They do a decent job and actually a very good job within their category for feel, but they could never compete with a full on lovely blade forging for the feel side of things........ Everything else though, it totally munches them 😀👍
I can see myself using the comparison data from these "best of videos" as another tool in the box for when I get fit for irons. I'm getting to the point where I've narrowed it down to just a couple of heads to try, at which point my club fitting session gets simplified to a shaft fitting.
Shaft fitting is a fun task especially depending on the golfer. Can get some really good gains from a correct shaft fitting and others see very little at all. Wonderful world of humans playing golf 😊
I've got an update to this video coming tomorrow where I've after feedback changed the way the overall forgiveness column is represented so it's more able to be understood how forgiving one club is compared to the next. Also due to some rounding errors there are a couple of irons that swap places a little but nothing that affects the winners. The Pro 245 moves up the order a little but it's only correct adjusted rounding so not any huge leaps 👍
I think with this kind of information it's best kept to my memberships to see whenever they want. A lot of work goes into this and my members have supported me for a long time so I want to ensure that I give back to them by giving them special access to this kind of information. There may well be tiers of access with the amount of data and characteristics of an iron now being captured. Either way though the entry level Bronze memberships will always receive full access to the Heat map compare file that can compare directly the Forgiveness level visually between all the current irons I have tested 👍
Amazing comparison. It would be great if you could do a comparison against the top 5 or so of each category as a final round up so we can see what we are giving up forgiveness/spin wise when switching between categories like Srizon ZX5 vs Mizuno Hot Metal HL.
I may well do an overall at the end of the series...... I didn't want to do too many as I don't want peoples eyes and heads to explode with all the numbers 😀👍

Too bad Titleist doesn't respond to you. Would've liked to see T150's in here. My 2021 T100S irons are the best irons i've ever played and i've been playing just over 30 years. Fully Forged heads with loads of Tungsten in the heel and toe. super forgiving. Your data and heat maps are the best

i don't think Cleveland makes anything in the players distance category.
Hmm, aren't Caley and Takomo the same heads? Or maybe not.
Definitely not, well not from my testing anyway. Ball reacts very differently. May aesthetically look similar but CG placement and internal tech is definitely different 👍
@@AskGolfNut Good to know :) Thanks as always. Could it be a numbering difference? Ex. Takomo 8 and Caley 7 are the same head?
