    Hi All, just a quick note, on the Face Speed part of the Ranking, the image at 5:55 is the correct ranking, the ranking after the club images were of the previous topic (whoopsy in editing sorry 🙂) 👍

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  Месяц назад +1

      Most if not all others only have their opinion and feelings to go on. The data they collect if at all is very small and potentially full of holes once scrutinised. The work I do is painstaking, and frustrating also sometimes when the amount of work is put in to create the heatmaps and all the footage and editing for the video not to do well. But, what's fair for one iron is fair for another so all the hard work is put in nonetheless to ensure the Best Comparison Tool for everyday golfers (held on my Discord) is constantly updated and includes all the latest tested equipment 👍
      Thanks very much for your kind words 👍

    I love trying out new clubs with global golf. While I have greatly enjoyed hitting a few sets (most recently the TM p7cb's), they make me appreciate my zx5's more every time. I loved hitting the p7cb's, the sound and feel for me was as good as (if not better than) the mizuno 243's, another personal favorite. While the dispersion numbers front to back tightened, it doesn't justify spending more while the zx5's are an absolute bargain and perform almost as well.

    Great analysis. Maybe I just like it for confirmation bias as I switched the LIMIT3D this summer. They really are fantastic. The forgiveness is real. I would rate them just ok on feel. I supposed within the category the feel is good. But compared to the T100S I switched from - the feel is not great. You do get good feedback which is nice. While they are very forgiving low and toe as the data showed, you can definitely still tell when you miss low or toe or heel. That’s a good thing in my mind as a lot of forgiving irons don’t provide any feedback. I can’t explain what I don’t love about the feel. Just different coming from blades / players cavity backs.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  Месяц назад

      Absolutely if you are coming from those types of irons then nothing will feel quite the same. They do a decent job and actually a very good job within their category for feel, but they could never compete with a full on lovely blade forging for the feel side of things........ Everything else though, it totally munches them 😀👍

    I can see myself using the comparison data from these "best of videos" as another tool in the box for when I get fit for irons. I'm getting to the point where I've narrowed it down to just a couple of heads to try, at which point my club fitting session gets simplified to a shaft fitting.

    • @AskGolfNut

      I've got an update to this video coming tomorrow where I've after feedback changed the way the overall forgiveness column is represented so it's more able to be understood how forgiving one club is compared to the next. Also due to some rounding errors there are a couple of irons that swap places a little but nothing that affects the winners. The Pro 245 moves up the order a little but it's only correct adjusted rounding so not any huge leaps 👍

      What really makes this iron so good also is the data capture for it. There are a few among the 42 irons now captured that have a large dataset so better resolution on the heatmaps. The others are created with limited data points from the original full reviews I did from miss hits spoken about on camera. Some of the legacy data captures are being updated to improve their accuracy and removing any risk of misrepresenting them amongst the others. However: as an average golfer I wanted to love the Cobra's, tried and tried hitting a tester on mats and turf & different shafts....and I just couldn't get any consistency or regular good strikes on them. Wedges are an interesting topic for forgiveness as due to their loft, that alone is the single most important part of its forgiveness. A manufacturer could put every bell and whistle of tech in wedges and it literally makes no difference to its MOI or forgiveness. With wedges unfortunately it's getting fitted for the loft, bounce and grind and learning how it's used. 🤷 Sorry to be a bearer or bad news 👍👍👍

      Always were going to be expensive with it being the Gen 1 retail release, absolutely no doubt that if Cobra continue with this line of design then price will be reducing with the ability to mass produce them 👍

      Coming after the Game Improvement video. I have an update to this video to produce and release as after some feedback I have changed the Forgiveness column to try and make it more understandable for people to see relative differences between irons in it's forgiveness and also a couple of rounding errors that means a few clubs positions have swapped a bit but no actual differences whatsoever to the winners 👍

    Hmm, aren't Caley and Takomo the same heads? Or maybe not.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  Месяц назад +1

      Definitely not, well not from my testing anyway. Ball reacts very differently. May aesthetically look similar but CG placement and internal tech is definitely different 👍

      @@AskGolfNut Good to know :) Thanks as always. Could it be a numbering difference? Ex. Takomo 8 and Caley 7 are the same head?
