The instruction to pinch the short end together and pull forward to reveal the hole behind that the long end to go through makes this so much clearer than all other videos on RUclips or any on the net! I finally know how to tie a bow tie and make it look good, too! Thank you so much!

This was the clearest and easiest to follow explanation on RUclips. It was the angle of the camera at the end which allowed you to see from the side. All other videos give a view from the front for the final stages and then try to explain what you can't see.

Found this demonstration many years ago and it is still the best demonstration. Whenever I need to tie a bow tie, I refresh my memory watching this. I succeed with my first try whilst watching the demonstration tonight.
Tip: If you have a laptop or PC with a Web cam, place that window side-by-side with the above video. Makes it much, much easier to mirror what Lucky's doing. (This video is a lifesaver.)

i have always loved bowties but have always bought the clip-type because I didnt know how to tie one. I recently purchased several bowties that require the tying skill. I didnt wear them for a month. finally i googled "how to tie a bowtie" and this video (among many others) came up. This video was so thorough yet easy that within 10 minutes I was a pro. Thanks.
