Got Rank 1 last time this boss was up, but now new trio can do 789-790. Just barely a hair above the OG trio cap.
Previous upload was 787, Darius pointed out that I can mei wa then evade on P2 instead of evading first, which let the second hoo wep towards the end catch more htr breach uptime, giving me the damage I need to cleanly execute at 789. Huge thanks to him.
Still, there's a lot to mald for in this run. P1 damage is forgiving enough, but you have to time everything really well to get sufficient damage to kill p1 at 945 and not have surfboard atk during atf cause the bullshit -1. I got it in most of my runs but somehow didn't get it in this one lol.
Transition is really fucked, you will be 4-5pts slower for no reason at all if you press htr wep when mei is off cd. You have to press htr wep when mei's swap cd just barely passes her eye and isn't up all the way, so that htr wep procs hoo qte the instant it is up. This was the key for saving a lot of time in the beginning of my mald.
For the balls...its kinda just all luck. I position myself relatively close directly in front of the boss, and just press htr combo and ult once I see 856pts. If you go too early, hfi will qte into some random spot on the ground. Don't touch directional controls and just press wep combo. Pray the boss doesn't iframe your combo's later hits, thats about all you can do.
P2 is simple enough once you get past the balls. Hoo wep should fully be inside of the tail-end of htr breach at 796, then just transform and kill.
Granted, if you're not perfect affix, this will probably be very hard to do. Then you can just add a mei evade like beemaster did on SEA.
