- My personal review of the Queen of Sweden bread by David Austin roses are delicate and true pink flower upright sturdy and reliable this rose makes up for its lack of perfume with so many other wonderful qualities

綺麗ですね❤
This rose barely lasts 2 days and it shatters!! But very beautiful upright blooms almost floating ❤
@@soundmind3389 that will be due to how fast it’s pollinated nothing to do with the plant,
She’s absolutely stunning 🍃🌹🍃
Bought a bare root this spring. It's blooming right now. Absolutely stunning! I have three hours morning sun and the whole afternoon it's in the shade so the flowers last 3 or 4 days!
This past summer was my first year with her and it’s my FAVORITE rose by far!!!!!
It is incredibly beautiful, I think, mainly because of the way it carries its flowers so upright. They are also a beautiful soft shade of pink
Loved seeing the complete upright plant. Thank you. She will be perfect in my garden! She will compliment my other pinks beautifully!
Queen of Sweden is so pretty and regal ! I was thinking of getting her for my second rose , but I’ve heard she dosent bloom much and the lack of fragrance . I really want a pink though ! I cant decide between Gertrude Jekyll, strawberry hill , scepter’d isle , Harlow carr , or queen of Sweden .
I’ve reviewed them all !
Dear Ben, you say in the video this rose makes your top 10, however I don’t see her in your top 10. Did she disappoint? I am thinking of planting her in my new borders as I very much like the upright habitat and upturned blooms.
She is a beauty!! 😍I wonder if I could plant her in a large pot?? I don't have a space of her in the ground but I would very much love to have her in my very first DA collection.. I would very much appreciate if you could give me advice, it's my first time ever growing roses. New subscriber here, I've been binge watching your videos about DA roses since last night ☺
You could plant it in a large pot yes
Adorable unique blooms but not good as a cut flower in my experience. The blooms shatter almost immediately once they are cut.
How is her disease resistance and how does she handle heat?
Mine is planted in a position that receives 6 hours of morning sunshine, with shade during the afternoon. It's marketed to be a good rose for shady spots, so I assumed that 6 hours of sun would be plenty to keep her happy. However mine really does bloom a lot... How much sun does your QoS bushes get, Ben? Not sure if I should move mine to a spot that gets more sun. Such a beautiful rose, but flowers very sparingly.... 😭
All of mine are in full sun west or south facing aspects and flower almost continuously all summer
@@the_gardenerben Thanks for taking the time to answer me. I'll definitely have to move mine to a full sun position and see if she'll be more productive. I absolutely adore this rose and the almost glowing effect the newly opened buds have! Will be great if she'll flower more... 👏🌸
I have this rose. It is beautiful but the bloom size smaller than other DA roses
That’s correct the blooms are smaller, but it’s very very reliable and upright
Great channel Ben.
Can you secure another DA discount by any chance as your channel grows etc?

Hi thank you probably until next November I’m afraid the code was granted off the back of my Instagram foot print I’m very new RUclips
Hi Ben, I was thinking of buying Queen of Sweden to plant against a metre high fence but David Austin say it grows to 4ft, I'd like it taller. Can you tell me how do you get yours to 5ft please?
Almost definitely this rose comes up naturally well into 5 feet mine reaches 6 feet or more and I achieve this by tear pruning it in levels instead of pruning the Keynes all to the same height and creating an open bowl shape I follow the natural shape of the plant leaving the middle Keynes standing to around 2 feet and work down the outer canes to around 1 feet from the ground
@@the_gardenerben That's most helpful, thank you for your reply. I'll be ordering a Queen of Sweden and fingers cross it will look as beautiful as yours. Thanks Ben. X
How close are each of these planted? 18”?
I have a The Queen of Sweden planted as a trio and yes, you’re correct there around 18 inches or 45 cm apart
Hi I just typed a comment but it seems to have disappeared?!? I’m not sure if you saw it, Have you Instagram?
I do indeed I can be found @northlodgecottagegarden
this rose was my biggest failure. Had barely any growth one summer and the next year it]]she died
Did you contact da ?
@@the_gardenerben I didn't because it was outside of warranty period
