Just reminded me of a girl from school, 43 years ago had a child at 11, it was taken into care. She was the joke of the school. I was not laughing. Decided to ask who abused her. She opened my eyes. she told me she was raised in children's home, and it was common amount the Kids to sleep together for comfort. Learnt later on in life indeed it was true, they took the kids into care because they did not think kids in care could care for a child. What a sad vicious circle. I pray all involved found different solutions, but sure the system is still failing these youngsters.
Same, we lived in NJ at the time. Older men hung around our schools back then. I work in a hospital in the south, there are many 11-15 year olds giving birth for so many reasons. Older/ young family members, mother's boyfriends, stepdad, neighbors and family friends were the predators.

Because it couldn’t survive without them. The entire point of that was that man doing what he did for his son. And his son began to do that for other people around them, and then they started saving people together. If you think about it is the entire point of humanity. Human beings were nomads before they learned to communize themselves. And then they all started to be able to prosper and survive longer. It’s the same idea there. You can’t survive without other people.
I have a Halloween skeleton that my husband took from a dentist office he rewired like 12 years ago. At some point we took her out and sat her on our love seat. Yep. All late night shows are scripted, the hosts have cards written by other people so that they know what to ask the guests (who already know the questions). Craig was famous for ripping these cards off at the beginning of the show in order to have a real conversation. His guests loved it because they finally could be themselves.

My grandmother, my mom’s mom she was only 12 years old when she had her first child my uncle David and she had my Aunt Melanie when she was 13 my mom at 15 and my uncle at 17. She grew up in the boonies of Mississippi and her parents made her get married to my grandfather who at the time was 23 and my grandmother was 11 when they were married. She had no more than maybe an eighth grade graduation at the very most and believe it or not. She is probably one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met in my entire life and is because when she wasn’t allowed to go to school anymore because she was married and got pregnant she continued studying and reading every book she could get her hands on since she was loving years old, she learned a lot from books. My grandmother is one of the most amazing and most incredible people I’ve ever known and I’m not saying that just because she’s my grandmother because honestly her and I aren’t even really that close because we’ve always lived on the opposite sides of the country for each other our entire lives, but she’s always made a point to come and see us every single year. She was an incredible mother, and she’s always worked her absolute butt off since she was pretty much old enough to stand. I couldn’t imagine growing up the way that my nana did. But she truly is an incredible woman and her story is insane and to me I think it’s so sad that she had no childhood whatsoever. She basically went from being a baby to a parent, and I just couldn’t imagine how hard that had to be, but she definitely handled it with Grace, I love you Nana!!!❤
My mom had me when she was 15 my sister at 17 and the last of the 4 of us at 23. She struggled for many years and did an amazing job. She usually had 2 jobs to financially take care of us all and by the time I got back from my first deployment my mom had started her business.. so late 2011 and now being 2024 she’s been making 7 figures every few months since 2017. So it isn’t the end of your life but man is she 1 in a million for sure and just because it worked out for her she still had struggled so much that we would heat bath water on our makeshift grill and all of us use the same water quickly to take a warm bath or use candles and burners for lights and to cook many many many months at a time.
She is amazing! I loved her on Supernatural and was so sad when they killed her character. She’s even more brilliant on The Walking Dead. I was sad when they killed Glenn though, they were so much fun to watch together.
