I'm an Indian Buddhist monk now living in Yangon, Myanmar. These two men Shri Banwarilal Goenka ji and Shri Ram Niwas Ji are my very closed devotees or friends. Shri Banwarilal ji is the second son of World renounced Vipassana meditation teacher late Shri Satya Narayan Goenka ji. Indian community here are very hardworking and they live with Buddhists very peacefully. I say, Indians in Myanmar are the luckiest people on earth. Indian community still hold some big business in Myanmar.

Who are you kissing with this post of yours? Indian descendants (regardless of religion) are second class citizens in Myanmar and it is getting worse by the second.

Myanmar government always treat Indians like second class citizens! There’s no basic right for them ! They are systematically discriminated by law ! They will give different citizens card to indian decedents second class citizens card called FRC even though they are like fourth generation if they have Indians name ! Burmese government always have Cultural genocide agenda for all different ethnic groups!

I am burmese and I have to say that indians are intelligent, hardworking and peaceful people. They are Myanmar citizens and government must treat them same as burmese. It is unacceptable that they are treated as second class citizen. I hope that our spring revolution will succeed and democratic government will change the better for them in future.

If Western Journalists are to be believed, Mayanmar Govt and the Army have now understood the circumstances in which Hindus were trapped among the Rohingya Muslims(illegal settlers from Chittagong Areas of Bangladesh). So, they are very eager to evaluate each of the cases of Hindus and resettle them back with the Budhist Community on top priority!

@vikas kashov11 - PRIOR to the British occupation of then Burma, it was an independent country with its king. After 3 successive wars with the British, Burma was totally occupied by the British. The British then annexed Burma to India and made it as one of the provinces of India. When we demanded independence from Britain after WW II, we demanded that Burma must be separated from India as originally it was a separate independent country. During the annexation, many Indians migrated to Rangoon (now Yangon). Since the entire population of Burma then was only 17 million, in the capital Rangoon, if one cannot speak Hindi one cannot move around as the Indians didn´t spoke Burmese. FYI.

India loves Burma, because it was like a part and parcel or one of the state of India till the military junta taken the country's administration. However, after democracy took the country's reins, it became a satellite of China or a puppet of china. India could not do anything to assist the country. Burma is not realising that China has only aggression but no assistance
