Please explain to me how that is fair. There are millions of people who make well over $50,000 on tips. I could see not taxing tip income up to a point, maybe the first $20,000 or $30,000, but other people with non-tip earning jobs should be treated the same.

The vast majority of tip earners are low income earners. Most of these jobs don't offer any benefits and are part time. Many of the people working these are gig workers like Uber drivers, service industry workers, single moms, students, etc. The high income tip earners are an exception, not the rule. I worked a catering job to get through school and my best year in tips was 2019. Made probably $2500 in tips, which was a great blessing while supporting a family of 4. Having that money stretch even further would be an even greater blessing. Remember that this is not like the handouts everyone wants for free college and such. This is money that these workers were rewarded by generous patrons for doing a good job. And the people who work these jobs were hit the hardest by COVID and Bidenomics. Yet, several conservative organizations that reviewed election results state-by-state have concluded that 3 million more votes were cast in the 2020 election than were registered voters. People need to come to their senses on this. I could see not taxing tip income up to a point, maybe the first $20,000 or $30,000, but other people with non-tip earning jobs should be treated the same.
I agree that there probably needs to be a cap to keep it from getting out of hand. Even having the first $10,000 in tips tax free would be a great boon. The vast majority of tip earners are low income earners. Most of these jobs don't offer any benefits and are part time. Many of the people working these are gig workers like Uber drivers, service industry workers, single moms, students, etc. The high income tip earners are an exception, not the rule. I worked a catering job to get through school and my best year in tips was 2019. Made probably $2500 in tips, which was a great blessing while supporting a family of 4. Having that money stretch even further would be an even greater blessing. Remember that this is not like the handouts everyone wants for free college and such. This is money that these workers were rewarded by generous patrons for doing a good job. And the people who work these jobs were hit the hardest by COVID and Bidenomics. These are the people who kept working through the lockdowns or had their livelihood shutdown because they "weren't essential". Throw the working class a bone.

Yet, several conservative organizations that reviewed election results state-by-state have concluded that 3 million more votes were cast in the 2020 election than were registered voters. Not certain how you discount that reality.

It is a state by state problem (states are responsible for managing their election processes) that should be rectified every year.
