Fantastic video. I nearly went for Aputure stuff myself when moving from Arri tungsten units. In the end I moved toward the offerings from Nanlite. Currently I have/use the following: Nanlite Nanlux Evoke 2400 Nanlite Forza 720b Nanlite Forza 300b ii 2 X NaNlite Forza 60C 3 of their 15c pavo/tube lights. This lot covers every eventuality I can ever forsee arising. Of course, I have all the usual bits; fresnels, softboxes, barndoors, stands/C Stands, overhead beams and so on. I shoot predominantly documentary admittedly, but this set up has me more than covered for narrative work, too. Again, great video. Greetings from my home of not so sunny England
@@joshwhitee I was at a filmmaking trade show in London, which isn't too far from me, a few years back and a sales rep from Nanlite was showcasing their products there. They felt well made, the functionality was good and I just ended up pulling the trigger. That said, I'd have quite happily gone with Aputure. So really it was purely down to timing and Nanlite being in the right place at the right time in my case.
Great video man, I've been looking at a 600 light, I've been really lacking in the lighting for my setups. I'm in the same boat as well man, I really just want to make some great short docs regardless of where it lives, just want to make some great films.
The spot light comes clutch I use mine all the time it’s great for compact book like bts or bounces in small rooms as well.

I haven’t used much from nanlite! Curious what made you go that route?

Nice content, Josh! Really like how you put this together 🙌
You interview kit pretty much what I roll with. I got the 600c 300c 2x 60x spotlight mount and T4c.
Great bud keep them coming man
The T4c would be a great back/kicker light. Come swing by the studio soon 🤙🏼
Great reference, thank you
Get that man an aputure sponsorship!
Great video, man!
Nice 👍🏼

Yeah the 600 really is a fantastic “do it all” light. But I think I also saw you’ve got some rangers in your kit now too 😮
@@joshwhitee haha yessir! Lights will be next
First!🤘
