Bloc Party - Skeleton - Guitar Cover (ALL PARTS)

Cover of Bloc Party's "Skeleton" off the Little Thoughts EP (2004)! All the covers I've seen on here are of the shorter 3-minute version, so I decided to cover the longer version instead. Besides, I like how this version is faster; kind of suits the song better. This is one of the rawest Bloc Party songs out there in that it doesn't contain extensive effects, layering, or electronics. Just four guys playing their instruments. Sweet.
NOTE: Both guitars play Russell's part on the chorus ("It makes a man out of me...") except for on the last chorus ("I'm just a skeleton..."). Live, I've noticed that Kele pretty much just sings for the first half of the song. In the studio, they overdub a second guitar during the choruses, so that's what I did, because it beefs up the sound and also gives me something to play during Kele's part :)
Kele's guitar part got recycled when the band recorded "Luno" in 2005 ( • Bloc Party - Luno - Gu... ). Really cool to see how certain ideas from their old stuff carried on to more well-known tunes.

Well, I figure you can only find people covering the 3 minute version because the 3 minute version is the official release. Barely anyone knows about the 5 minute version, heck I didn't even know about its existence until way late when I joined AND (now that I've learned more about it, it is technically unofficial). Also, were you active on the AND forums? I've noticed that you are one of the other major Bloc Party cover artists that are still pretty active. While the old AND forums are gone, there are some temporary places where blocheads are slightly still active (one specific reddit forum comes to mind). Until things change at least. Plus, this performance was fucking ace, loved listening to it, well done! Also, your other BP covers are excellent too!
