Haven't played Alpha protocol but I played Hellblade 1 which was also made on UE 4... Hellblade 2 is going to be released sometime this year - it'll give us a very good idea on how UE5 games are going to look like :)
Well, judging by how Starfield looks, it seems that Bethesda massively upgraded their rendering engine.. I'd say it's going to look very much like that
great work, but the whole point of an elder scrolls RPG is that there is only one single intro cut scene if any, and the entirety of the rest of the game is experienced from a first person perspective. loading screens are an exception to this but even those were designed to be interactive for the player in The Elder Scrolls V. not a dig on your work, you did a fantastic thing here and I'm really happy to see such a high-fidelity, polished and true-to-aesthetic elder scrolls homage

Basically you're right, but Unreal engine based games are easily moddable as well, the editor is already provided for free by Epic games, it's up to the devs how much they are willing to open up the game for mods.
let's dream on... Bethesda will never do it. They will let modders do the job - already they don't have to worry about remakes for Morrowind and Oblivion - modders are already taking care of that with Skyrim creation kit... We'll just have to wait for modders to remake Skyrim in Starfield engine
@@ShadowMagicTeam It would be great. With current version of skyrim, we had tools for scripting (make mods) and it was great. If we would have similar tools for creating mods (with UE5+) it would be really great. Not sure if it was not engine-dependent. I've seen mods that totally changes not only behavior, but also character visage... e.g. Adults mods, More trees in Whiterun, etc.
@@aleksandartodorovic7996 As long as there is a system to support character creation the options are quite limitless. I've already seen fully fledged character creation systems made in UE, and since UE editor is available and free to use mods will be very easy to make. There are two problems though - 1 UE is not build to support big open world like Skyrim. Say what you want about creation engine but its big advantage is that it was designed from the very beginning (NetImmerse engine that is) to support and keep records of off-screen events in any game-world size, to achieve that in UE for example would be extremely complicated. and 2 - Bethesda will never agree to an Unreal engine port... :D anyone who will attempt that will probably get sued...
@@ShadowMagicTeam That's what I assumed. Bethesda makes its own engine that fits exactly their needs (Skjrim, Fallout). Regarding mods, even if Bethesda used UE, or it wouldn't be possible to make a mod. Or else users would have to buy UE textures and models, (or to make them by ourselsf in extremely expensive software) which very few people would ever do. :) But who knows, Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, who knows what the future holds for Bethesda.
Oh c'mon... :D the original Skyrim was released 12 years ago, with everything that happened in the past 12 years in terms of technology and graphical enhancements... - it's a bit unfair to judge.. 😆
Small details count too. The stones of the fireplace that can be seen at the bottom are not blackened by soot. The stones on the floor and walls are homogeneous in color, when they should show different colors between areas of more use and those of less use. Areas of least use should show signs of moss and the corners of the walls should be dark, as if they had some filth. The same can be said of the wooden table top. Wood and stone shouldn't look so clean, like they've just been washed in a high pressure washer. And the Unreal Engine has pitfalls that would be dangerous for the future game in the Elder Scrolls series. A game made in a given version of Unreal Engine is not easily portable to a new version of that same game engine. In addition to the fact that in environments with a very distant visualization horizon, this game engine, whatever version it is, also becomes very heavy on the CPU and GPU. There are, unfortunately, recent games that are examples of this. Finally, I doubt that if the game were made in Unreal Engine, with all the optimizations that its finalization would imply in the end, before being released, then it would be possible to make as many mods and in such an easy way as it still happens with the game engine from SKyrim/Fallout. And this is the main reason why these games are played for so long. Even so, it must be recognized that there is a lot of work here and that the visual effect is impressive. Yes, I would also like the future "Skyrim" to look like the rich graphics we see here, but without the problems I mentioned above.
Very nice attention to details, thank you! I agree with you 100%, the environment definitely needs more work. This was my very first attempt to build a complete scene with animations, acting, lips sync keyframing etc. so most of my focus was on that side of things.. which is far from perfect as well, I have many complaints about that aspect too... There is a very good reason why Bethesda insist on sticking to Creation engine - the base engine - NetImmerse, was design specifically for this type of open world games and the core systems for big world management are the best there is, that's why no one else managed to make an open world game that will work the same way. Unreal engine has many issues and it definitely wasn't design for open world games, only in UE5 Epic started to build systems that will better support it but it is still far from perfect.

let's dream on... Bethesda will never do it. They will let modders do the job - already they don't have to worry about remakes for Morrowind and Oblivion - modders are already taking care of that with Skyrim creation kit...
We'll just have to wait for modders to remake Skyrim in Starfield engine
@@ShadowMagicTeam Sad for us PS players.
It would be boring?
If only the body language and movement could be more fluid and not so rigid. Otherwise it looks great.
I like realistic lighting, but not at the expense of not seeing anything. Perhaps its better experienced in VR.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TOM GIVE US A REAL SKYRIM REMASTER IN UNREAL 5 WE DESERVE IT
Hm... Bethesta's engine allows character body/face customization. Also, allow mods. Is it possible to customize "Dragongorn" face/race in UE5?
It's possible with any engine, one just need to build the system to customize characters in-game - it's not engine-dependent
But who knows, Bethesda is now owned by Microsoft, who knows what the future holds for Bethesda.
U singlehandedly did faaaaaaar better than an entire Bethesda company
Oh c'mon... :D the original Skyrim was released 12 years ago, with everything that happened in the past 12 years in terms of technology and graphical enhancements... - it's a bit unfair to judge.. 😆
@@ShadowMagicTeam agree but in the 12 past years Bethesda never put a true effort into the game only DLC after DLC
@@ShadowMagicTeam I know you still in the learning phase as you say, but stop being so modest. Regardless of what this comment says this type of media is above average, always remember that the majority don’t know shht about coding, shading, audio pairing etc. Heck im struggling just editing my playthroughs now. I want to make cinematic gameplay videos, however when i watch videos like this and read comments like this, I realize that you guys are way more talented than we think. It took you 4 weeks to make this, most (including myself) would think you make these type of videos in a few days. Be proud of this video and don’t let criticisms humble you. The dialogue and character gestures captivated me more than the moss-less walls and shiny wooden tables
@@Cashmere_Gaming Thank you so much for your kind word! but well, I am still in learning phase - I know what I'm going for (and I know I'm not there yet..).
I'm not being modest, I just know that no matter how hard I try I can always do better than that :D I'm grateful for constructive criticism - it really help a lot in knowing on what to improve. Anyway any criticism I will ever get will never be as harsh as trying to meet my own standards... but it's alright, I've learned how to be not too hard on myself and push myself forward in a positive way 😆
@@ShadowMagicTeam that makes sense at least you’re pushing yourself. Im just saying this stuff aint easy especially since you’re doing it on your own but you’re good at what you’re doing even if you’re a beginner. You’re developing your own style and that’s why im saying don’t worry bout the small details mentioned
@@Cashmere_Gaming Thanks :) well, tbh, I'm a beginner only on UE5. I have quite a bit of history with 3D modeling and animation.. but you mentioned you want to do cinematic gameplay - on Skyrim engine I presume - well I have some experience with that as well, in fact a while back I've published 2 full length Skyrim Machinima movies (by full length I mean 2+ hours each with voice acting and everything), I took them down because I'm remaking them in UE5. so I might be of little help with that.. if you'd like to talk DM me on Discord - EldersCrawler#1686
I think nearly half the world would play it they just need to add a special new mechanic like a placeable village and villagers slash mercenaries. Similar to fallout 4.
Well, I think ES6 will be very much like you described
Да, подкачала повесточка: Седобородые - положительные персонажи, а почему-то мужчины 🙄

Elder scroll 6 is that you?
emmmm... no :D
@@ShadowMagicTeam it was worth a try 😂
where is her skimpy armor?
I leave it for modders to handle

I want to hit that Dragonborn so bad for being so rude. My Dragonborn would melt her...
The Graybeard reminds me of Joe Biden and even sounds like him too 😂
😍😍👏👏👍👍👍👍
download please?
Emm.. download what? unfortunately it will never happen really... Bethesda will never give up their creation engine, and will never agree to an Unreal engine port... so it's only a nice dream... the best I can provide is only my own fan-made cinematics
I have a bellybutton
Too much head wobbling while in dialogue for mine, nor would i be a voiced character , creation engine circa 2024 should more than match U-5.
If it were made in UE5, no one would be playing it 3 months later because there would be almost no mods and the vanilla story is lackluster at best
character walk is a bit stilted and that turn of the head to the right is too far.
Pretty. Still don't understand the emphasis of animating the characters body during conversations. Makes them look like they have some kind of disorder (in real life people don't pace or shake their heads so much). Not a slam on this work, again looks really good. Just personal issue with modding.
how about a real time next time then a cutscene!
nah... not going to risk it.. 😅 it'll be a direct violation of Bethesda's EULA.. when it's a video it somehow passes, since it's a different medium
Dragonborn VO was great. As crazy as it sounds, if people use fallout 4 as an example to not VO bethesda player characters, I'd actually use this as an argument for it, lol
Hmm.. well, video is different than the actual game. I'm in the camp of silent protagonists for role-playing games, I think part of building your character is also deciding the voice for your character and how they would speak.
Female Dragonborn lol shrill annoying "shouts"
Graphics cannot make a mediocre RPG better.
