So here I am. A white guy from the U.S. (visual perception has nothing to do with the heart). Watching films from India. Different culture for sure. I fell in love with these stories about 2 months ago when I discovered all of this by chance. I am a fan of good storytelling. What amazes me is often I can follow a story even when presented in Hindi without the English subtitles. Goes to show the power of good writing and film making. Let the visuals tell the story. There is an honesty and depth to all of this that I sincerely admire. Some stories are so unbelievably heart-breaking. Others provoke a thought that few in western culture films won't even attempt to explore. Please continue. This is such an amazing experience. I so wanted to see a part two to this....so see what her decision was, what action to take. And maybe that is already clear. Thank you to all who create these amazing stories. Most times the heads of different departments are friends themselves and save each others back. No option to be easy for sure. Women are left with such choices every day. And then they complain women are harsh.
It's not that easy for a girl , here are some reasons why 1- People will assume you are the attention seeker and even if they will believe you, still they won't support you because they will never want to lose their job because of someone else . 2- that guy might do something to the girl any type of harm to protect his image .
Telling victims this is never the solution. Ofc there's no two ways about it but there's a lot of other factors to be taken into consideration which includes recognising the trauma and societal stigma. Rebuking a victim on "why didn't u report it" and making them feel bad about their choices isn't the way to do it. There's some really good videos and articles on this specific stuff which I'd recommend :)
@@vartikasharma8645 I agree that its never an easy step to take. Hugely admiring the makers, writers and editors of this short. This is unique and arguably apt end to the story where you have choice but with all your dilemmas & apprehensions about career, freedom, society, independence etc. Choice is always of individual & simultaneously its consequences. But the film does not focus on either of them. It tries to express the internal agony of a women where she has to bear this unimaginable trauma even after fighting for her all his life. Office scene(in the beginning) is realistic too. Many privileged males don't even believe what females experience here and there. Talking about the short, It is well written and portrayed on screen. Editing is at par. Congratulations to Neha for carrying the weight of Shivani's character well. Anshul is great in supporting role. One ❤️ to the Director (Dheeraj Jindal)for putting it up this way. Best wishes to the team.😇
Wow, 'Vikalp' is a masterclass in storytelling! Neha Sharma and Anshul Chauhan deliver such authentic performances, really bringing the struggle of choosing between justice and personal dreams to life. Dheeraj Jindal's direction is both powerful and poignant, capturing the essence of the small-town girl's journey in a metro city. This short film truly resonates with anyone who's ever faced a tough choice between their ideals and ambitions. Highly recommend watching!
Most of the girls would find themselves to be the lead actress of such stories.... But unfortunately the biggest challenge the woman faces is to prove herself with LIVE EVIDENCES !!!!! Amazing story by the writer.....
Girls really are warriors! They first hav to fight with the society norms n with her own family for her rights...right for her freedom of choice.. and then again she has to fight with such dogs who just wait to molest these innocent souls! And the sad part is...that in this fight she is all.alone! Unscrupulous men just take advantage of their weaknesses!
The question is what is she going to do with the rest of her life now that this has happened ? Punishing the offender will not take away what happened but will teach others to be careful with their own actions. At the end of the day she had a choice. She just needs to exercise her choice but before that she has to heal. Many women choose not heal and simply live in resentment. Who are they punishing then ?
Am I the only one who watched the entire film in tears? Kudos to all the brave women fighting. Shame on those idiotic men who takes advantage on women.

1- People will assume you are the attention seeker and even if they will believe you, still they won't support you because they will never want to lose their job because of someone else .
But just think about it, if the victim does not report it, he/she would have to live with the guilt of not reporting it for the rest of their life.
Maybe reporting the incident won't give them justice in the end, but atleast psychologically the victim would know it they did whatever they could to get justice. Also, maybe when more and more victims start reporting such incidents, the authorities would be much more stringent with their sexual harassment policies.
@@none_ofur_business4612 Please suggest a solution other than reporting such incidents.

There should be such kind of videos for spreading more awareness ..

Their career what will people think of them. It's such a harrowing period of life that you just want to get rid of it
No they still can't. There's this constant dilemmaof what will happen

Its every girl story and a part of life.... well depicted
Ladkiyo

Most of the girls would find themselves to be the lead actress of such stories.... But unfortunately the biggest challenge the woman faces is to prove herself with LIVE EVIDENCES !!!!! Amazing story by the writer.....
Lots of love for Neha 🥰🥰
Girls really are warriors! They first hav to fight with the society norms n with her own family for her rights...right for her freedom of choice.. and then again she has to fight with such dogs who just wait to molest these innocent souls! And the sad part is...that in this fight she is all.alone! Unscrupulous men just take advantage of their weaknesses!
I really appreciate this short film...... The writer has done good job💯
It's real 👍👍when u abuse, then take action against culprits 🙏it is right " VIKALP"
The question is...Will women ever get Vikalp in life or the word "women" & " adjustment " will be synonyms ??

Really nice .
It's hard to say because I find majority of womens trapped even they are so intelligent & smart .

This is the Reality. Woman like mothers faced a lot of troubles but teaches all those to their girls to bear the same.. Its a never ending cycle
Am I the only one who watched the entire film in tears? Kudos to all the brave women fighting. Shame on those idiotic men who takes advantage on women.

A very delicate and subtle handling of the subject. Kudos to the writer, director and the whole cast.

Nice ending, now she has two choices and that choice will make her destiny....👍

Yes, these are happening in our society, only says that women empowerment, equality but a woman face that type of things which r broken internally, but I always say that don't compromise these things self respect, mental peace.Dont work under that type of people mindset,I know that to make a career so many difficulties came but take hard step towards that type of people.
most of females prefer changing jobs thn complaining n messing our dignity n future...good story n amazing act
when u have the same name and same story.....hits hard

dreams were more important than the abuse, this is so sad to think, to prove yourself, this is not the way to go,,, there is always a vikalp
after seeing this ..i have no words to say ..
WAKE UP LADIES..
FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS..DONT BE AFRAID OF LOSING UR JOB .THINK SMART
ACT SMART..
Wow my heart bleeded at the end becos this is the reality of today....
A very well made short film. I felt it will be the same larger than life, feminism, etc but it was very realistic.
The end of this film is not satisfying. There should be some solid message to society.
Mumbai me Dasara manate hai...badi dhum dham se manate hai...yaha jo dar gaya woh mar gaya ....and Maa Mumbadevi ...Badhrakali Sawarupini...Darana nahi ...Ladhana sikhati hai ..every day ...every moment...Tabhi tho hum Maharashtra me is parva ko "Vijayadashami" kahate hai😊
I want the second part of this.
Neha sharma is good actress atleast extremely Well from her contemporaries...I was shocked when kartik Aryan was promoting dheeme dheeme song with every second actress n influencer but not once with original lead lady of dheeme dheeme song..outsider should atleast support other outsiders ...
Insane level @Dheeraj_jindal Sir
I was expecting Shivani to tell her mom - Maa iss baar Ravan jaroor jalega
Good working all team members 👍👍👍
Harrasment of women at workplace is a major headache nowadays. It's not like earlier times when women used to be busy in household chores. Now they work shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. So we must prioritise this issue and solve it.
VIKALP!! CHOICE!! ALTERNATIVE!! OPTION!!
In the end that was the choice you made AND it doesn't matter how hard it was to make it.
IT MATTERS THAT YOU DID.
Marvelous Creation ♥️

I thought it will give me a better VIKALP but even not the director has any choice for this situation
Arey yaar jab assi ending kari ha toh part 2 bhi toh jaldi banaoo....iss movie mein yeh dekhane ki koshish ki bahot si ladkiya awaz nhi utha pati apne boss k liye bus sehne deti ha...lekin sabhi ko asse ravan jese logo se larna chahiye chahe woh koi bhi ho ...
Such a wonderful video
Neha's acting is superb. 👌
Where is the end of the story? What message we gave to the people without conclusion??? Utter non sense...
Open end, audience jo marji conclusion bana shakti use your imagination. It was left for us
Short movies are meant to be completed in one part. This short movie ends without the proper ending leaving viewers disappointed.
Not all movies need open ending sometimes makers leaves the choice on us audiences to choose what ending we want for the story.
Like in this story she have 2 options either to keep quite or take actions against her boss. So makers are asking us what we would have done if we were at her place.
Ms Chaudhary you can definitely choose to keep your mouth shut and let the viewers decide. Thanks 🙏🏾
Agree with u
Proper ending may guide in such cases or may help to think wat v dnt dare to think
But hav seen so many short movies expecting frm audience only to think wat will happen nw 😅 its a fashion too

Ya, only the slaves, IT cookies will have to comprise..the ones with strong sense and purpose will never do it they will be soo repelled by this action. This is a country of women empowerment, only the loose, weak will get used, the strong ones stay afloat, like my own sister who rose to heights in career without any compromise.,,,feels so proud of my didi..
Royal stage ur content is superb

I seriously get very angry when anyone compromises the wrong situation . There is nothing more important in life than self-respect. Even if you have to fight it alone, fight it out, in the end, ravan had to die. Period...
Workplace harassment must be duly addressed to ensure real empowerment of women
ruclips.net/video/a9oGsvR90-k/видео.html
In the fear of losing job , women work under this shit and continue but they need support nd encourage to stand nd stop.
Family is the one whose one help women can do anything against the limitations which she is facing
Story don't have end because it the truth actually such things are not shared with parents, no HR helps the victims and social media just full of stupids.... Story is like a girl asking how i tackel it and pursue further
The writer wants us to give this an end.
Maybe....conclusion will be there jst like bahahubali.
Some really hard hitting statements..
It was a suspense story...I was waiting for end and it end like story is till not over...they should have end this rather than leaving in suspense
