For taller gentleman, the full break works. However, shorter below 5’9” it’s best to keep a no break or slight break depending on the type of pants worn. Great tips!
Close your eyes and you'll hear Samuel L. Jacskon giving you lecture about proper pant length.
I will NEVER forgive you for this! I can’t unknow or unhear this now that you’ve said this.
Lmao
IKR
😂
Except he didn’t use foul language.
I'm 6'1 and usually a no break guy but l would try a slight break just to step out of my comfort zone great video Style O.G.
Thanks Jay!
I just got done explaining this to one of my employees. It was good to share this video with him. Thanks brother
no problem Ric!
Glad to see the sponsors reaching out! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
my man Jason!
I remember posting this exact question a couple of weeks/month ago: glad you opted for a full video additional response. Thanks again G. And as always: Saaaluuuute!
Salute Trojan!
Slight break on everything, especially on suits. Awesome content as usual!!
Getting a Salute from the style O.G. Is the highlight of this holiday season. Also nice that it’s on a video featuring a topic I’ve been wondering about. Thanks for the consistently great videos.
Glad to hear it Private!
@@TheStyleOG what's good big dog I've a problem I like mid break jeans but when I sit down they rise to high showing socks what should I do
I totally get the break now. I like somewhere between the slight to medium. I wear very high quality leather shoes that are stylish or leather ankle dress booth type, so showing off my shoes is a good thing in my style. Got over a dozen new dress pants incoming soon to take to tailor. So I now understand how to assess the break and trouser tailor look I want. Thanks.
I like this dude. I seen a couple of his videos, but I was a little on the fence.
Well, I'm officially a subscriber now, with the alert button on active.
Keep doing your thing.
Salute!
Mike

Thanks John!
Definitely agree to “Fit is king”. 👍🏾 👍🏾 Great video OG!!
Thanks Dominic!
Nice work on this one Jeff. 👍🏻
Nicely broken down! And you getting sponsors is a great sign for your channel 👌
Thanks Slick!
Aside from Pat Riley, you're the only person I've heard speak on this topic. It's refreshing to see that I'm not the only person who knows what a "Break" is and the different types.Keep em coming O G.
Salute !
I am 6ft 1ins. and I go with slight break for my dress pants and no break for my jeans except for my dark denims that i treat like my dress pants so they have a slight break.
Keep dropping that knowledge OG.
you know I will Derrick!
Yo bro always on top with the facts G..thanks man..enjoy your week king.💯
You too King!
Thx OG as a short guy First Time in my Life i try no break or slight on my jeans . And this look spectacular Good.
I'm 47 and I didn't know what a pants break was until this moment. Thanks O.G.
No problem!
Great video as always O.G. As a short man of 5'5 tall, waist 30 and 28 inseam, I go for a no break in my for pants. Tapering my pant to a 7.5 opening is good to give a show of my shoes as well.
good stuff Larry!
I press like before i even watch the video. Thats how confident i am of my style OG, Jeff ;)
my guy!
Again, you nailed it!
What up OG!! You put up another banger my man!!!
Thanks Goldigums!
Salute O.G! Thanks for explaining this 😎
no problem Riz!
always filling in the fashion knowledge gap. this video thought me about pants length I had no idea. Thanks and Salute!
Salute Oscar!
This video actually works for us guys 32-34 length. Thanks O.G.!
My Sunday was going along ok until the notification came out for another master class in style. Now my Sunday is complete.
much love DJ!
Of course brother.. Keep the lessons coming..
Well done, Jeff.
Thanks Robert!
Great video, breaks are something about pants that I never really understood. Now that I know might be a little less conservative and go for a medium or slight break, as I don’t really enjoy showing off my ankles.
Appreciate it Scott!
Always enjoy your presentations.
Thanks Martin !
Thanks for breaking this down.
Always struggled with finding that sweet spot where the break is not too long but doesn't feel too short when walking.
Mainly with jeans and slacks.
Appreciate this brother !
You got it Derek!
Another hit, Jeff!
Thanks Mike!
Great video! I love watching his videos because it helps a lot of improving my style in fashion, SALUTE TO YOU SIR!
Salute Joel!
Hummmm ..now this is a very interesting topic... something i would have never thought off. No break...looks good on the younger guys and very fashionable guys like my nieces husband . Your correct. Minor break is a great look to show off the shoes. Medium break is a very overall look. The full break is what i see alot of old dudes wear lol. Also inference to your sponsor Peter Manning NYC he came up with a excellent concept for men who have difficulties with length among other things. I love the trousers, jeans,etc.. i also think they do a fantastic job selling great quality clothes ..for a reasonable cost. Great job again bro❤
Appreciate it Jeannine!
Excellent video!! Very helpful!
Thanks Nicholas !
Understood! Thanks G!
I learn good useful things in this video. Thanks, sir.
Slight break or no break.....any more than that makes my heart ache. Thanks, G.
Haha!
No pants above your ankles? Lol
Great breakdown. 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Michael!
Teach my brother I love you shows I've been telling all my older brothers
Thanks LP!
I'm traditional and conservative at 5" 7 and like a slight break.
Great practical explanation and advice. I favour a somewhat vintage look, and the full break is too much for me. At 5'11" 205 lbs, I'm not a small man, and I cannot pull off either the full break or no break looks. I know guys who can pull off these looks. Experimenting with different breaks is the best way to discover this.
I agree Frederick!
I'm thinking different breaks for different trousers.
Thanks for the info man!
No problem Charlie !
as a short guy myself, thanks for the recommended website.
No problem!
This video helped a lot. Great content.
Glad to hear it Francisco!
Great video. As usual!
Thanks Pinero!
Great advice!
thanks elliven!
Thank you 🙏 so much brother
Thanks for the advice in this video
You got it Game!
The RUclips God's sent me to you🤣🤣🤣. Been wanting to dress more like a grown up. I ain't no young cat no more. Just watched a couple of videos of yours and I appreciate the tips. Keep'em coming 🙂.
welcome to the channel Donald!
Also went through Birmingham great clothes, there they looked sharp.
I'm old school (40 yrs old). The medium break is the style for me. Sometimes full break depending on the shoes I'm wearing. It's some Jordans that look bulky so I got to find the right break
appreciate the input Quaddafi!
I appreciate you taking time to educate and style all your bros out there. I have a question, along with length what’s a good taper size or opening size ?
Nice video, great content OG 👌Salute!!!
Thanks Ralph!
My style OG never fails me.
I try not to !
Og you brake it down well pun intended with the knowledge you show. I'll be rocking loafers with no show socks so have a few higher brake pants, keep the cool vibe and vids Geoffrey
Thanks Hagen!
I watch his videos just cause he is such a smooth operator
Appreciate it!
Can you do a video on where to pickup some wool trousers for the winter, especially for the guys with bigger thighs? I usually wear athletic fits or the Levi 502 when I can find it but unfortunately wool trousers seem to be mostly slim or classic fit.
Didnt know that term, handy! Thanks G
Oh, dropped into memphis seen people with stylish clothes. Everywhere
but, it was all wrong the clothes were wearing them.
You got it Chris!
I like the no break or little stacking as possible.
What up O.G. With my suits and chinos- no/slight break... jeans medium, stacked look always looks good with the mid shoes
appreciate the input Nehemiah!
Never read compliments on the background groove selection, so here's one!
Nice Matyas!
Great..top video. Really informative.
Thanks Allen!
Man didn't know it was called a full break. I thought it was a fashion faux pas not to wear it like that but for men in their 70s, and 80s it was OK and got a pass for it. Thanks for the knowledge O.G.
you got it Damon!
Awesome video!!!!! Targets goodfellow chinos are the best fitting pants I own and they break a little too! I am going to look into Peter Manning as well!
Appreciate it Jack!
I like a medium to full break, anything less than that tends to make it look like I’m wearing high waters and when I sit down the leg opening really rides up beyond my boots and looks funny.
This is super helpful since we are the same height with the same inseam.
Hey Brother Jeff how you doing man since I've been watching your Channel I'm more conscious of what I wear how I look and how it looks on me I'm really into the break of the pants and you show me the one that I need which is the one that you wear the most the slight break I've even got my wife looking at men's pants and she'll say they're too long they don't look good salute
wife know best Ernest!
@@TheStyleOG hey Jeff I'm thinking about buying my first pair of brown wingtips what brand do you recommend
Great video and tips 😎👍👍. Salute
Salute Dee!
Another excellent vid fam, very informative, happy holidays, Be Safe;-)
appreciate it my G!
Thank you I am so glad I found you
No problem Thomas !
Of my favorite FLOODING!
Wow. I got schooled on something I never thought about. Thanks
no problem Robert!
Good video, particularly regarding the casual wear. My personal opinion is all that buckling and extra length on pants length is dated. Good straightforward video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Robert!
I like slight break for jeans. And just a tad shorter for chinos and dress pants
As always great video brother.....slight-break all the way......👍🔥🙏
Always appreciated here Sammy!
Good vid.
Thanks L!
I'm 5'5'' and I gotta buy cropped pants just to fit me normally. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work!
will dodmespolet!
Brah, I'm 5'2 & never done that in my life. Find your right size, & make sure you have little to no break
Cropped?
I wear more 'slight breaks' than any other breaks. However, I do wear 'medium breaks' depending what clothes I'm wearing esp. if it's for work. #Salute
appreciate the input Ricky!
just watch the video good stuff bro
Thanks!
How does one stop pants from shrinking when coming out of the dry? I like the no break. Does Peter Manning NYC have no shrink pants or something similar?
The rock ain't got nothing on your eyebrow, your killing it!
It depends how high you wear your pants. Even a slight drop as opposed to hiking up your pants completely makes all the difference, especially for the quarter break.
appreciate the input John!
Great videos. Here 2022
Salute OG
Salute Eric!
I have a question for you Og it's about blazers and sport coats do I remove the buttons on the sleeves, ?
@The Style O.G. New subscriber here. Thanks for putting out this informative video, I'm learning quite a bit from your channel so far. Anyway, I've just started to address my style issues especially concerning the pants I wear. I'm 5'10, 215/220ish and usually a 36/38 in the waist, should I go with 36x30/38x30 to go with my chelsea boots? I currently wear 36x32/38x32 and now realized it is way too long. Thanks in advance brother!👍
My taylor still can't get my "no break" right, almost there! Enjoy your vids! 👍
Stay on him Ferdinand!

As a big guy I LOVE NO BREAK LOVE SHOWING MY SHOES 😔 but with chinos or denim trouser med break but everything always taper
appreciate the input willjavtor!
Great informative video! Would it be unusual to try get all my pants in a slight break and cuff from there? Referring specifically for denim and casual pants such as chinos.
not unusual at all...
Oh This is Dope!!!
Thanks JBA!
Thanks
No problem!
Great vid. Really wish there was a Kurtis Blow "These are the breaks" at the beginning
haha!
Funny, I actually grew up in the same building in Harlem as kurtis Blow.
damn, i didn't know any of this. thanks!
no problem Kenneth!
Old school full break back between heel and shoe
Love the video!! just rocked my gray New Republic Chelsea Boots last Friday and the jeans with no break The girlfriend loved the look. Does the shoe dictate the break? One again great stuff lets get you to 100,000 before 2019!! SALUTE!!
with boots I rock a higher break...thanks Allen
Hey @thestyleOG I like the slight break the best. What size do you think I should get. I'm 5'9. I was thinking a 29?
Jeff, long time, my man! Been away for a minute, great vid to come back to, details make the difference. And how long til I get that "salute"? Ha ha, Happy Holidays, O.G!
I got you Kanard!
Damn this video was dope.. ima big fan plaboy✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 #salute
Appreciate it !
