We need more Independents. The two party system doesn't work if neither side admits their flaws. Independents are the only ones who can see things from a bipartisan perspective and point out the bad on both sides. And as one of the most powerful nations on earth, it's very sad and disturbing that our top 2 choices come down between a squash and a potato. We deserve better.☮️🇺🇲
Independents don't work either. You need a third party like in Canada, with the option of a 2-party coalition (in favor over the third party for a majority govt)
You’re on the $$$. I’ve been independent since i was of age in ‘92… I’m now 50. My first vote for POTUS went to indy H. Ross Perot, and Perot again in ‘96. I’ve voted either Rep or Dem since, tho i sat ‘16 out… I didn’t want either candidate. Nowadaze, with all the vitriol and division created by both sides, I’m completely over BOTH parties and believe America’s only chance for survival is a viable third party that works as a buffer, and represents interests of the actual majority of Americans; centrists and moderates✌️

Yes, we are done with a part system. I am not sure of my reasearch however it appears our founding Fathers did not want two parties. It was not till later that someone thought it would be to hard for people to understand what the candidates wanted for our country. I am not sure if people knew to research the party's platform. At this point our Nation, States, and city governments do what they want. I live in a democratic sanctuary state. We are a mess. No real leadership. Just elected me and things will be great. This may be part of the reason citizens have forgotten we run the country. Now theologies, corruption, and politics are topics people avoid discussing. Our education and older generations have not educated young and old it us our Goverment not the divise politics. Education on the US government is not taught. We do not know how to the goverment described by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Unless the complete system is changed to have some form of the parliamentary system multiple parties will stand no chance. There has to be a move back past the 1929 limits on representation to see any real change.
I agree. America needs direct elections instead of a district system. If you want to save the conservative voice in this day and age you need more parties and you need direct elections.

In a 1975 interview with Johnny Carson, Ronald Reagan stated that a third party could never win, because they always choose the wrong leader. (That footage is easily found here on the tube). I agree with him. The U.S. and Canada have always been dominated by 2 parties. Any third parties have never won. BUT, it's only because the citizens (voters) never wanted to vote for a third party. Canada has 3 main parties every election, but the dense voting population is all down east, they control the entire outcome of the election.
Both political partys are corrupt, the trick is finding out which one is the least corrupt or option 2.. stay home and just hope for the best to happen which it never will
