In fact, there is no such thing as a squid bike. There is only squid riders. There are Harley Davidsons kannapis, Bullet kannapis, Yamaha kannapis, Kawasaki kannapis and more.
The reason why people who love speed select KTM is because this machine is superior to everything else and that in itself should make the company proud. I mean these guys make KTM RC 16 and the performance of that bike always blew me away. The reason for low sales is not because KTM bike has the kannapi tag. The kannapi tag would have just increased the sales figures. Remember Pulsars kannapi tag? It increased their sales. The reason why KTMs sales are going down is because KTM bikes are no more affordable. It's so much expensive that it used to be.
Remember, gen 1 duke 390 was around 2 lakh rupees. It was absolutely a bang for buck. The newer 390s offer less performance than the gen 1 and are awfully overpriced for what they offer. It's almost 3, 10 ex showroom. Add in the taxes and all and it'll go close to 4. Not many Indians can actually afford that. Even 2 is difficult for most Indians but 4 is just out of budget for most people.
Yeah u got a point, but in terms of pricing, if we consider inflation all of the bikes price has almost doubled in last 10years. So someone who can afford at KTM for 2 lakhs can afford it for 4 lakhs now. If we compare the wage of a daily wager also it has almost doubled in last 10 years.
For example The ex showroom cost of a 220 was around 78000 now its 140000
The ex showroom cost of a activa was around 42000 now its 80-90k
Only ktm & dio is considered as kannapi not Bullet or kawasaki. Black & Orange colour is kannapi colour. Chapri.

It all depends brother, whishlist some bikes that u like , test drive all that on same day. It all depends on your driving style and what you expect from motorcycle. its a perfect allrounder motorcycle
* butter smooth engine
* it can easily sit happily at 80-100km (so good for cruising)
*Hondas reliability
*decent fuel efficiency
only thing i would change about the motorcycle are the headlamps, the throw is not that great.
but before buying do take a test-drive, in the end its all about what u r expecting from motorcycle. test-drive some of Ur fav motorcycles back to back on same day, ur heart will tell which one u want trust it and go for it.🙂

We all do speeding, but do we cause trouble to other riders just like we see in this video, Thats the difference between a matured rider and a kannapi😄
