Ive always jump peeked with my mouse only, basically holding w key and doing a full 180, if you get the timing right on when to jump and when to turn you wknt go past the wall much and can still have vision long enough to see people or atleast see them on the mini map

You forgot to tell that you shouldn't peek an oper using a penetrable wall as cover. In my lobby, people try to shoot that way wehn someone is peeking like this and they get the shot most of the time as either the hp of person is a bit low or they shoot the head.
