Repairing it without the laser machine is too difficult so I would recommend taking it to someone with the machine. You can still do it yourself like I did with a heat gun and a blade but it takes really long.
Because iPhones are made that way to prevent third party repair shops from fixing them. They would rather have you buy a new one, short story; Apple = $$$

As someone who has done xs max back glass replacements before without the laster maschine i now really want one but im to poor to get one
I was told 85 to get mines fixed because “the back is full of internals” i see that was a lie but now im positive I can fix my own shit
