Batman: I won’t kill you, but that doesn’t mean I have to save you.
Imagine your father is about to die and you can’t do absolutely nothing to save him, and he won’t give you a chance to even try. That gives this scene so much weight towards the end.
Well it’s his problem
I can imagine it but the scene was poorly filmed. Didn’t move me at all.
Super emotional. I couldn't agree More
And the bgm❤❤
So they attack him , get their asses kicked, Arthur is letting them live and the old man decides to shoot at him INSIDE a submarine as he’s walking away....“You killed innocent people, you ask the sea for mercy”
Still it was a dick move and a way to gather enemies .
@@albertrex6851 how?! they literally attacked aquaman while he was trying to save the innocent.
@@ToneyHandsome if superman was there he would save everyone : both good guys and bad guys . That's how heroes should be : Saving the Worst of the Worst because they're also lives too .
People don’t get that Aquaman isn’t a nice guy. He’s probably the most Grey superhero DC has
@@albertrex6851 That's how stupid heroes behave.
Poor guy didn't realize he was talking to Aquaman instead of Superman

The voice crack along with the rising score gives me chills man
Little fun fact: the actor who plays mantas father voiced the character devil ray in justice legate unlimited. (Black manta of the cartoons, problems at the time prevented the show from using his name). But it's cool that this is kinda like a passing if the touch
He's a good actor, I first saw him in Sons Of Anarchy.
He was also the captain of the Apollo in Stargate Atlantis. I don't think he had any scenes with Ronan, but it's still weird to see him and Momoa in this movie about Atlantis.
Really
They should have casted Wesley Snipes
Out of all deaths this one was the saddest
Yeah
The cringiest
Well i don't really feel sorry for them.
I mean black manta's father and his team killed innocent's
And the Father teaches his son to kill innocents and people who are just doing their jobs for good reason, and his father would be proud of him for that, they are just bad guys but they do seem to have a good relationship
So yeah. i will not feel sad for them, Its not like i hate them or something.
@@stevenroberts9097 nah there’s way more cringer deaths than this like lion king
He maybe evil. but I do feel sorry for him tho 😞😣
The entire premise of why Manta wants to kill Aquaman, which is all his and his father's own fault, is one of the dumbest villain motivations I have ever heard of. Later he says "Aquaman killed my father"........did he though? I'm pretty sure your father got himself killed dude, so stupid DC
Yeah especially that there were many occasions when he could just give up
Manta: He’s gonna die!
Arthur: I missed the part where thats my problem
@@ota9007 That's not what was really said, but if we're going to quote he said "You killed innocent people. You ask the sea for mercy". Dude, he shot a grenade at the side of a sub, c'mon
@@jasonearl229 How do you not understand the joke 🤦♂️
Yes out of all the black manta stories this one is the dumbest. Of course they weren't going to use the black manta story that had him trying to create a underwater world for black people because why do that. Instead they chose this dumb origin story
I so wanna see a second Aquaman movie. Cut the abuser Amber just out and swap her for someone else, you did it with Ironman best friend, so what?? Jason Momoa is awesome and deserves his next blockbuster!
The new mera should be Emilia Clarke
They attempted to kill him, and he avoided the shot at the end. It was all their fault. Why would this birth the black mantis, its so hyped.
Interesting mindset but I could make the same example, imagine:
I am a sniper, tasked to kill the captain of the insurgency who captured the civilians and prisoned them on a camp stocked with bombs. I arrived at my location and I finally found them, I measured what angle, wind speed etc. I should need to know before shooting, I took the shot and this Sonuvabitch ultra instinct-ed my bullet and ended up hitting a bomb which killed up to 59 civilians. Was it my fault? I'm not sure, all I want to know is how the hell did he ultra instinct a sniper bullet.
@@universesbiggestdouchebag8350 I'm pretty sure the fact that someone would ultra instinct a sniper round would be on my mind more than the civilians.
@@universesbiggestdouchebag8350 Different scenarios, this guy made a split second emotional decision that he knew wouldn't actually work, you calculated all your moves every step of the way
That’s kind of sad bro
You know, Black Manta blamed Aquaman for "killing" his father, but let's be real. It wasn't all his fault.
None of it was his fault
You know, I haven't seen this movie but I know who Black Manta is and how he killed with no mercy to this submarine Sailors. But the beginning of this scene makes Aquaman like some sort of horror movie monster or an unstoppable heartless monster like the predator or something. I mean fucking ell he impaled the old man with an iron rod...
And it was awesome haha
@@victorarreola Agreed, same way as watching Jasoon Voorhees or the Xenomorph tear people apart like if they were sheets of paper...
The trope Mook Horror Show is applied here . The good guy looks like a bad guy when he hunts Mooks.
What movie were you watching? You’re trying to hard to sympathize
What was Curry supposed to have done? Save his attempted murderers like a true imbecilic hero?
Fun fact: his father’s actor voiced an alternate version of Black Manta from Justice League Unlimited; Devil Ray
The vengeful child wanting to a avenge their parent’s death never gets old imo. I mean when you have a single parent that’s done their best to raise you and help you, what child wouldn’t want to seek out their killers like manta, Montoya or Abby
It'd help his case if his father's "Killer" wasn't literally his father. Arthur legit just non-lethally impaled him (In response to getting BLOWN UP), took the thing out, and then left. It's not like he wouldn't have lived if he wasn't completely retarded. He's literally the reason his own legs are crushed and he drowned. The nerve to even ask the guy you're trying to kill for help is astounding. Mythical even. I could only dream of having this amount of audacity, cause it seems fun as hell.
This on top of being someone who kills innocent people in the first place. IDK how the hell you could actually blame someone else for any of this BS unless you're just a whole other level of petty and pathetic. I mean, props to Manta for having the emotional complex of a teenage girl, despite being a grown ass man who commits crimes.
There is no “ revenge “ aqua man didn’t kill anyone they chose to attack aquaman and shoot the submarine.
1:54-1:56 wtf he said, its so badass
i heard "i am not too kind"
@@molester628 He ACTUALLY said "Ano To Kai"

I didn't know Steve Harvey and Kevin Hart were in this movie
Are you implying that all black people look alike? 😂
@@ImNotThatGoodAtGames how? He literally named two people. If he thought they all looked alike he would've named one

Who the hell shots a grenade on a submarine?!
In a room full of torpedoes
The manta father for sure 🙂
Also as a last resort or Self-destruct?
maybe Manta villian.. but this is sad!
Yup
He maybe evil. but I do feel sorry for him tho 😞😣
Funny fact: Jesse is a name of a Clone. So Aquaman’s Dad is gonna be pissed about this scene.
They maybe the bad guys but ouch this death scene is sad & horrible to watch at the same time. Jesse did what a father could do for the sake of his son. 😢😢😢😥😥😥😭😭💔💔
You reap what you sow, my friend
I much prefer villains like Gorr, guys who were actually wronged so it blurs the line between “villian”. Aquaman didn’t wrong Manta, Manta was a terrible human who made his choices and his dad deserved what he got.
Well dang Warner Bros you didn’t have to make Aquaman look like the bad guy lol
To anyone with sense: they didn’t.
I was talking about this scene
@@e.j5813 Exactly. It doesn't
Whats the song in the ending from?
3:37
BLACK MANTA IS GOING TO
DIE FOR THAT LIKE HIS FATHER!
Who's here after Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom?
Me
2:44 that’s sad how he begged him to help but aquman didn’t show no mercy
He did show mercy, pulled the pipe out that had him pinned to the wall after Manta revealed it was his Dad left them both alive and was trying leave. Dad shoots him in the back with Grenade laucher in a fuckin pressurized Submarine which, 1st time is top tier moron shit because pressure wave from the explosion is probably instant death for both him and Manta (Aquamans physiology has evolutionary adaaption to withstand 1000x higher pressure then a human) but its actually the second time which is 1 trillion times more moronic because he literally just saw Aquaman take a granade to his bare chest/neck/face that resulted in 0% damage. He is pinned by the torpedo directly as a result of his own cowardly scumbag actions.
For additional context mind you this is during Manta and his mercenaries terrorist operation they were paid to fake an attack on Atlantis to frame humans with starting a war with Atlantis that would have resulted in the mass genocide of the human race.
He's the Aquaman!!!!
Oh, My God!
2:21
Bad move, Jesse!
David did try to save his dad.
Nice job breaking it, Hero, you incurred a minor villain's son's wrath!
Superman could have tried to save them both for trial...
I pretty much think any other superhero would have saved the dad. Aquaman was cold here.
You ask the sea for mercy
This scene is not like liked by me because it doesn't represent real hero. Aquaman has to save his father. I didn't watch ever full movie because I always remember this scene till end. 😢
T.O. Cross should've stayed in Charming
RIP T.O.
God this death was fantastic, they are horrible people sure, but this shows a good relationship with dad and son, it was 100% their fault, but Black Manta has every reason to be mad at the Aquaman
He really doesn’t.

Anyone with common sense wouldn’t go after innocent people. Doesn’t matter what they would say.
It's so sad
So while Mantas dad was a bad dude and a really stupid one, I can see how this would make Manta his enemy. Honestly it would've been better if Arthur just killed them both instead of leaving the father to kill himself to save his son who would've died with his father. People keep saying that he deserved it but the guys dead, what arthur didn't realize was that the SON was asking an enemy for help going far as to say please/beg. At that moment if Arthur actually saved them then black manta might not have such a hard on for him. Honestly if it were me, I'd probably save them but would make it known that if I ever heard their name doing anything I'd kill them since they are no threat to aquaman AT THIS POINT. Black manta isn't an idiot and knew that death would come sooner or later but that was still a father that he loved and loved back. At the end of the day, when someone kills the person you have that special bond with its REALLY hard ti not think of revenge
I know it’s late but I had to say this. Aquaman didn’t kill his father. He did it to himself. Anyways I don’t want to question any of their decisions because it was a good move to make a good villain. Now that I saw the trailer for the sequel I hope we can see Black Manta in his full potential
@rftg1793 it's arguably worse, black manta was begging aquaman to save his father and got told to fuck off then had to watch his father kill himself to save his son who would've drowned trying to save his father. It'd be much quicker to kill them both if he wasn't gonna save them or at least get the father free and give them a fighting chance. Yes manta father had it coming but from the sons perspective, the one guy who could easily help his father but left them to drown killed his father. It's illogical but so is love 🤷🏿♂️
@@cliffordgardner7975 I don't know what response you WOULD expect after literally trying to kill a guy yourself (Who has no idea who you are btw), your dad coming in ALSO trying to kill him, and then being so stupid he kills himself, despite being long standing criminals who should have had basic rules, like no explosives this the fucking sub (IDK it just seems like common sense). Love isn't so illogical you somehow don't get that people tend to pay you back in kind, or just won't help when you need it. Imagine fucking over your neighbor and then expecting them to lend you a helping hand when your power's out or your kid needs a kidney or something and they're a perfect match ("The one guy who could easily help" as you put it). Ridiculous. "Love" isn't a valid excuse for being a petty asshat when it's literally just you misplacing ALL the blame.
Aquaman, the guy trying to save INNOCENT people isn't about to go out of his way to kill anyone when they're already dying, and defiantly wouldn't when he's hardly a hero at this point. Hell, he barely cares about land people after he becomes a hero. Every time he comes up from Atlantis it's either a solid to his friends or something that also threatens Atlantis.
@Gration_ Wow you're really worked up, and you're argument zeroes in on them being bad guys and trying to kill aquaman maybe if you take that narrow mindset and apply it to how the son may feel about saving father you'd see that people get tunnel vision typically from a place of love and yeah I think Black Manta deserved to die but at the end of the day his son debased himself to beg an enemy to save his father, that shows how much he REALLY loved his father and why he blames Aquaman because he spurned that
@@cliffordgardner7975 "Worked up" for a point and explanation? So does that mean you are too? Unless you're trying to use "cuss words" as the reason to call me worked up, but if you are, you really just need to grow up.
That aside, this love angle is an even narrower mindset and the only thing you have going for your argument, yourself. Not only that, but being narrow minded would suggest that I'm saying that this love thing isn't valid, and i didn't say that. I'm saying "Who cares though?". He can love his dad, he defiantly does, but who gives a fuck? It's not like it suddenly excuses his petty ass vendetta and misplaced blame. Also, you say "Debase" like they're not already murderers and criminals. What character or status is left to lower to? No one cares if you beg after you try to kill them, and even less so after you've been committing heinous crimes. You can cry in the electric chair, someone's still flipping the switch. The gall to even ask is outrageous. You want the grace and mercy you haven't had for scores of people at this point. It's not wild to say you're out of your fucking mind, and it's even crazier to get mad about it when you get told "No".
Bro got hit with a exploding bullet and all he said was ow
If it wasn’t for this scene , we wouldn’t be getting what’s coming for the 2nd movie oorah!!
Black manta just wanted his father back
Maybe if Aquaman had just saved his dad then he wouldn't of kept trying to kill him and shit?
But what about those innocent people he killed.
Yeah I feel like he doesn't deserve mercy, that's pathetic. The whole reason he turned evil was because of his father's death, which wasn't even Aquamans fault... They attempted to kill him, and he avoided the shot. Like shit, that just makes black manta even more of a pussy
Bullshit. They'd proboably have plotted together on how they can defeat Arthur the second they got off the submarine.
@@lazydoctorr black manta was destroying aquaman for most

@@lazydoctorr Pussy??? lmao this is one of the most dangerous mercenaries in the DC universe.
i hate it when characters blame others for a problem they caused themselves or brought upon themselves and then beg for forgiveness. in terms of character writing, it's just a bad motive for a villain because you as the audience know the character should not be redeemed. live with your consequences

@@purpleguymaxence3722 He's also a grown ass man who should know what consequences are, and that what he's doing is...wrong? Like who the fuck are you to be asking anyone for help? No one cares how you were raised when you're actively fucking over people while completely knowing what you're doing.
