Brave, I'd say. That's some sore-throat pedal going on there. In my experience, if you record stuff too dirty it'll turn into a sack of mud at mixdown. I think it's worked because there's not too much else going on, and all the other parts are clean. Interesting to see the half-inch eight-track chugging away back there. Looks like the sort of home studio I remember from thirty-five years ago; Yamaha NS10s 'n' everything!

while I definitely think that every one of these guys is so amazingly talented on their own and all of their solo projects deserve all the love they've gotten, I think together they bring out the best in each other and just make the most amazing things together once they all get together in the same room

If you've been watching Cory's trajectory soar and haven't had a solid Vulfpeck album in a minute, this is like the perfect marriage.
It's a miracle we're getting these tracks, as the members of Vulfpeck are spread across the country, Stratton and Katzman live in LA, Goss lives in Chicago and Dart stayed in Ann Arbor.

wholeheartedly agree. i love vinyl as much as the next guy, but i don't own a single record that i don't also own digitally, and it'd be genuinely frustrating if this album is vinyl only. can't listen to it nearly as often if i need my record player or youtube to listen to it!

This is technically the original, recorded before airplane mode came out. Cory said it was originally vulf and this is the outcome!

U know how sometimes u need to hear a song several times to get to really like it, even if it's from one of your favorite artists? Well, this wasn't the case for me this time. Fell absolutely in love in the first listen. My heart feels warm. These people are simply amazing.

Assuming it’s the time they recorded Radio Shack since the place is the same. Cory’s part on 3:11 sounds amazing from his original recording oof, hearing Jack use a distortion/fuzz sounds great for the first time which I love and Joes take on Cory’s song sounds great, I would love to see Joe and Sonny T Jam out with Cory on one of his sessions 👏🏽
