When I saw them last, there was 50 people on stage screaming, "I'm losing sleep, I'm losing friends. I've got a love hate love with the city I'm in. I'll count the hours, having just one wish. If I'm doing fine, there's no point to this!!" ...it was awesome
One of the friends I'm losing only recently showed me this band (like mere days ago)...We still hang out, but the dynamics are different..This band, these words have hit me really hard, especially that last bit :,(
Love it when kids fight amongst each other, instead of appreciating the fact that we have a wide range of music to enjoy nowadays. God forbid that an individual likes more than one genre.
Sun down, Sun up. I speak in sarcasm to relate to all the things I appreciate. I lie in rhythm to open doors. I follow suit and just want more. My reputation is the same it’s been, and I don’t care what happens. I read the book, so I know the end. I’ve probably said too much, but I’ve never felt more accomplished. I’m losing sleep. I’m losing friends. I’ve got a love/hate/love with the city I’m in. I’ll count the hours, having just one wish. If I’m doing fine, there’s no point to this.
brother bear, la dispute, worthwhile, the exploration, the saddest landscape, landscapes, killing the dream, hopeless, foxes, former thieves, pianos become the teeth, and defeater are all great in terms of the genre
Saw them at Gilman last weekend. Shit was nuts. At one point everyone was standing on the stage screaming the lyrics, getting staged dived on. Jeremy was getting crazy. I felt like I was going to die. It was fuckin' great. :)
Im one of the guys who found about these guys cause im listen to stuff from Deathwish Inc, so when I heard their second release, I was BLOWN AWAY! Now i'm getting into this which is just as gOOD :D
City of Caterpillar. They're also probably the most fantastic and interesting post-hardcore/screamo/whatever band I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
I don't think they care to conform to the manufactured sense of music that we all know too well. This explained at the most simple way is this is punk rock. This band has the raw factors that might be called melodic hardcore here but like most underground true bands such as this they do not care about the mainstream sound and don't care to compare thereselves to others which is why real hardcore punk merely just hold on to the passion and message as the original music scene always wanted. With the media, technology, and bands these days surfacing so rapidly, the rightousness in punk rock is indeed dead. This is for those who don't understand what they're listening to as I saw in the comments.
Never really liked scream mode type music and wonder as to how could people listen to this. But this is really good!!! Glad I ran into it. Any more music like this with that melodic vibe? Thanks.
@xShivdude THANK. YOU. I love La Dispute, Thursday, what I've heard of this band, and stuff like Saetia and Orchid, but I still like some of that The Devil Wears Prada stuff and I openly like My Chemical Romance. That being said, I find a bit more raw emotion in stuff like this.
I'M LOSING SLEEP. I'M LOSING FRIENDS. I'VE GOT A LOVE/HATE LOVE WITH THE CITY I'M IN. I'LL COUNT THE HOURS, HAVING JUST ONE WISH. IF I'M DOING FINE, THERE'S NO POINT TO THIS..
@xShivdude THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. about fucking time someone said this! who cares what genres people are into, if you love it and your passionate about it thats all that fucking matters. MUSIC=LIFE
Even more relevant today.

The band orchid was like that
Thursday is one of the most unsung heros of modern music in my opinion. Touche Amore rocks.
One of the friends I'm losing only recently showed me this band (like mere days ago)...We still hang out, but the dynamics are different..This band, these words have hit me really hard, especially that last bit :,(
I remember when I first heard this when I was 19. Fast forward I’m 34 now and still love this track! 🤘🏽

discovered them like 1 months ago or so. Their music is underrated. I hope they get what they deserve.
brother bear, la dispute, worthwhile, the exploration, the saddest landscape, landscapes, killing the dream, hopeless, foxes, former thieves, pianos become the teeth, and defeater are all great in terms of the genre
Just saw them at back to back shows. Fantastic both times, real small shows so I got to be front and center yelling with him the entire time.
Really glad I found this band.
That sudden onslaught of drums and aggression is bone crushing
Played many shows with these gentlemen in the KCMO area. Miss those days and those guys but man what a profound catalog of music.
Saw them at Gilman last weekend. Shit was nuts. At one point everyone was standing on the stage screaming the lyrics, getting staged dived on. Jeremy was getting crazy. I felt like I was going to die. It was fuckin' great. :)
