I have always felt alone with this one. I feel like we are all alone mourning for this game. I have never ever met anyone outisde of it who has liked it as much. This game has inspired me so so much, it has given me a lot of memories I will never forget. I come back to those videos from time to time to remind myself that I am not alone. This was the absolute peak of Aion, and now - it's gone. Never to return due to complete and utter negligence of the developers to what the community truly ever wanted. I have spent best years of my life with this game, I made life-long relationships and Katalam was where I met my wife, with this track along with Sillus Fortress track softly whispering in my ears. The sieges, the open-world pvp, THIS MUSIC was incredible it was a perfect game... Thank you for keeping this wonderful piece of art alive on your channel, it would be an absolute crime to lose it. 11 years. Still remains the BEST MMORPG. The Gameplay, The Ascension Story & Quest, Soundtrack, Character Make Up, Graphics. The World aren't ready (PC Specs) when it released in 2006-2009 (cmiiw). Sadly the Indonesian Official Server died (up to 7.000 active player). Now there is only PvP Private Server that has only 60 active player online. After Munin/Pernos my level Maxed. How do i get the nostalgic time😢

You may have posted this comment six years ago but its more true now than ever. The fall of this game into decline was the fall of something beatiful. I was gutted when they took sarpan... but when they stripped my asmodians of their claws and other distinct racial features for vanities sake and turned the whole game into a fasionistas paradise thats when its soul was completely lost for me.

I miss Aion, and I simply love this song. I did experience Katalam, Danaria and Sarpan for a while, but this song took my attention while I was in Pernon, the studio map for the Asmodians. I used to go there after a long grinding day to chill and chat with legion friends. When Aion got the 5.0 patch, I ended up quitting alongside two friends, which sadly I lost contact with over the years. This song kind of became a tribute to those years. I miss the simplicity of life back then. Nowadays things are very different and life is complicated. :') The Aion we each knew and loved will be with us forever.
powerful, beautiful..... hey you can hear some of the chord progressions that were in the movie Avengers soundtrack a few years later... wow for instance just after 7:30 - the contra-harmony that occurs through 7:33 - 7:36 (the background strings going downward into minor chords whereas the restatement of the main melody stays the same in the major chords), then the phrase resolution at 7:40 . wonderful sounding, all of it. it is also heard earlier in the piece just after 3:40 [I am not an expert in music or theory, I only play drums heh, I am merely noting there are some nice phrasings that seem to match a bit. of course all music pieces will match in some light ways]

I stopped playing before I really got to explore katalam...by the time I got back it was gone. Yet I'm always reading stories about it, I've seen hundreds of screenshots and maps and I love hearing all the memories people have of this place - even though I never experienced it this music haunts me because I know that if I'd taken the chance to truly explore it, that's where I would've lived in the game. I wish it wasn't gone.

To all, Aion retail with current patch gives you the option to visit Katalam and play around, do some quests and listen to this masterpiece. The caveat is that the zone is available for a limited time until you run out of dimensional clock. The place is now red (hence the name Crimson Katalam) and completely empty as its optional.

I moved on to GW2 more than year ago but every freakin time I listen to Aion soundtracks I'm crying like a little bitch. I'm even considering the Aion soundtracks as my absolute favorite soundtracks. Gawd why gameforge :'( I seriously miss this game so hard ._.
it's kinda genius that they removed Katalam... because in the story you're supposed to miss it, the characters suffer from it, but usually it's hard to get feelings from games. but this, even though it's sad, is genius because we DO miss Katalam, as if we lived in Atreia! You can hate NC Soft for it, but you have to admit it was a smart move.
I honestly never cared for the plot of the game because it required me to read and pay attention to the cutscenes. I guess I was more into the actual gameplay than the game itself, if that makes any sense

aion has 1/3 of my college days happiness.... we go to a computer cafe to play, we forge memories and camaraderie... everyday we farm, we fight, we explore... rifting... abyss/core fights, collection skins... crafting.... our irl routine also changes for good, we go to school earlier instead.... we challenge our self to get a best score in some test to that the lowest will pay us some treats... we laugh, we feel sad, mad, cried and feel good with my friends why playing this awesome game the first cryengine generated MMORPG the feels like realistic .. I miss the old days...

2024, still listening to this song. I started playing Aion with version 1.9 and stopped playing it shortly after version 4.5 arrived, because somehow the game no longer felt like Aion to me. The old Aion will live forever in my memories and this song is the key to these memories.

Best Patch : 4.6 for me , now the game is dead , katalams was keeping the ppl on server . Without the katalams ppls started to leaving the game , cuz is so sad , i was playing there and i did too much pvp but i gave up after this cuz without katalam the aion is dead! this is my oppinion. i Love this music cuz makes me to remember the old days of PVP ., weeklys quest and Memories with my team , now all is gone , i hope one day to reset the servers and the game will start from 0 , then all the ppl gonna come back to play again , i hope :)
I'll be the first i think and i'll leave again at ep4.8 I joined aion at the last day of ep3.9 and i noticed that gunner is new and op but i played ranger always startex in Na when we hits 4.8 i moved to europ to play more 6 months of 4.7 :( I was really happy with all quests and happy for the ladt day in NA server we did a souvenir quest in sarpan of kahrun ship it's a big quest need alliance video on youtube i still checking it till now i can't forget how kahrun wings was awesome and how tiamaranta eye was alive
This song is perfect for mourning the loss of what was once the greatest game online. The only saving grace is the private servers. I dedicated so much time and money to ncSofts original creation...then they took it all away. Rape, is the only word that comes to mind. And I don't use that term lightly. every thursday i used to move alone with my ranger to katalam for the weekly quests of BM taking camps grp up for the one in the middle if my pet detect any elyos am hidding or mau form and start running :p if u meet donalduck there justget mounted :'( afer that eat something and back to danaria to do my weeklies and get some bm gears and go find the shugo who convert bm gears to ap in idian depth :'( + farm something and dodge ny elyos since i got only chest andpant ap gear+ linked rest are ac gears but weapon still good and with GS of silence after that am in tiamaranta eye farming ap again and boxes and ofc there i can kill i luv doing that when it's rainy hard when i finish i join my old guild VIKINGS to do wot we usually do and after a hangout in cold having fun with friends i back and it's the moment for tiamaranta sieges just lovly weekends now only in league of legends when am free but aion is better ( old aion )

every thursday i used to move alone with my ranger to katalam for the weekly quests of BM taking camps grp up for the one in the middle if my pet detect any elyos am hidding or mau form and start running :p if u meet donalduck there justget mounted :'(
afer that eat something and back to danaria to do my weeklies and get some bm gears and go find the shugo who convert bm gears to ap in idian depth :'( + farm something and dodge ny elyos since i got only chest andpant ap gear+ linked rest are ac gears but weapon still good and with GS of silence
after that am in tiamaranta eye farming ap again and boxes and ofc there i can kill
i luv doing that when it's rainy hard when i finish i join my old guild VIKINGS to do wot we usually do and after a hangout in cold having fun with friends i back and it's the moment for tiamaranta sieges
just lovly weekends now only in league of legends when am free but aion is better ( old aion )
