I love this song a lot! But i'm also a huge fan of the early stuff when Jade just joined the band. haha I will say though, I can see why it didn't make the cut for black sails back in 1999. Clearly its AFI and especially Davey's vocals from that era, but this song is very different from everything off of Black Sails. Idk if this song was written later on, like maybe shortly before recording Black Sails but it Almost has a The Art of Drowning kind of vibe to it.
So I heard on an AIM chatroom in the early 2000's that this song existed. Turns out that random person was right and the song is amazing. Apparently there is one for sing the sorrow as well.
There's actually an entire album of unheard sing the sorrow demos that jade teased us with in his insta a while back. I'd do crazy things to hear that.
Opening guitar riff sounds like what we know of now the world opening riff. Is no one else brave enough to say this is terrible, in terms of BSTS or even now..?
For Black Sails era, yea it doesn't fit. I'm wondering if they wrote this closer to the time they were recording black sails? Cause honestly it gives more of a stripped down version of The Art of Drowning era. Cause its pretty close to A Winter's Tale.
@@mattmiltenberger145I’m assuming you weren’t part of the despair faction and ever got news letters and actual material from “under the rose “ they disclosed the lyrics far beyond the times just took 20 years to hear it
@@hhhhhh5241 I'm confused as to what you're trying to say. lol Are you trying to say specifically the lyrics were written before 1999? Or what? Cause All I'm saying is that the song as a whole (more specifically the instrumentals) was written at the end of the writing cycle from BSITS.
Reminded me of the opening of "Still A Stranger". I enjoyed hearing this but I can see how this was not included in the og record release.
I never heard this song and I started listening to afi in 93! Man so they suck now but damn they used to be epic
I miss this era of AFI
One last good song from my favourite band, feels bittersweet
At last i can hear It. Awesome. Thanx!
Not all heroes wear capes. If you want to no shade. Thanks for sharing. Seeing some people aren’t getting their vinyl orders due to shortages 😞
Amazon 🖤
Thank you for sharing this! Was really wanting to listen to it. So glad I did.
Thank you!

Appreciate the upload
Muchas gracias! 🙏🏻
Been waiting for good quality to come!!! love it! thank you!!!
The crop of the photo in this video makes it feel like I'm floating out into the water towards the boat.
I'm glad they cut this song. It's okay.
Thank you good quality on that - absolutely love it !! Btw any chance for lossless audio download, like in flac or something ?
Also interested 😇
YES PLZ
Thanks a lot!
Love the D.I.J.🥀 lyric vibes☠ I can see why they cut it though. It teeters between BS and AOD
Thanks 🔥

Jade also has a an ipod full of demos and unreleased music. I'd give my arm to have a listen.
They also wrote 120 songs for DU also.
Yeah there are multiple albums from that era that are unreleased. They wrote like 100 songs before releasing sing the sorrow. Hopefully one day…
Sounds a little more like an AOD outtake. love it.
reminds me of Third Season / Son of Sam. Big Danzig vibes in Davey's vocals
Fuck yes !!!
Sounds like Now The World in the beginning....or one of those songs.
Thx
Jade 4L
Surprised they didn’t keep this on
I’m not, it sounds so drastically different than the rest of the record. It’s a good song, remind me more of the Offspring than Black Sails
Maybe with a little bit of tweaking it'd have been on there.
I was scared of dentists and the dark…
Opening guitar riff sounds like what we know of now the world opening riff. Is no one else brave enough to say this is terrible, in terms of BSTS or even now..?
Perfect comment, nice song but within it's own realm of BSTS it's terrible. I see why it was left off the album

I mean, there’s a reason it was a b-side. It’s not great, not awful. Whelming. Sounds like the Offspring writing a tribute song to AFI
