Hankerin said that what connected them was a "wakefulness" while DMing. I would say it's a particular kind of "attention", where the moment-by-moment demands a calibration specific to itself in order to be best presented. I've DM'd with several such types of people. As a player, you are riveted, ensnared by the woven energies of the DM, and yet it never feels either false or forced from such people. Preserve them if you find them. They are rare.
@@age-of-adventure general admission was $2,000! That included four games over two days, quality lunches and dinners (with all ~60 attendees inc. the game runners), t-shirt and dice tray and dice.
if I was Chris Cocks CEO of Hasbro...this would be my new D&D game design team. I would give them the IP, admin and the space to make the greatest version of D&D plus all the adventures they could muster.
