We spend so much money on feminine hygiene products, and do so much work managing our periods (wipes, washes, tampons, pads, cups etc, constantly changing and cleaning them). We physically and mentally suffer trying to conceive (especially for IVF treatments), carrying a child, losing or aborting a child, and even risk death giving birth. We could be forced to raise children on our own, and endure post-natal problems (hairloss, depression, incontinence, diatasis recti, vaginal prolapse, breastfeeding issues etc). i always felt like there was something wrong with me because i never had cramps, and my anxious brain started thinking things like "what if i can't ever have a child?" or "what if this is an early sign of cancer?". i looked into it and it turns out i am *very* lucky
When parents do period talks I think the bit the bit kids get thrown by is flow. I think periods sound a bit scary when kids get the idea period comes out like a constant stream, almost like urine. Though you can have a big gusher time to time, for the most part you aren’t aware of it leaving the body. I think we confuse girls into thinking it’s like a little tap that turns on. Some women do have really crap luck with periods and can have crazy flow I’m sure (sorry you guys) , but for the most part it really is imperceptible.
I mean, I think it might be quite equal. In my life I’ve known about equal amounts of women who have easy periods and ones who have crazy ones. Also, because period type and flow often runs in the family, the girls who’s parents discuss heavy flows probably are gonna be more likely to have them (cause if the mother has them, the child probably will too).
I absolutely love how mature the dad and his son were. So refreshing to see them being compassionate about the subject. The dad did a great job explaining it!
I know some people are just scared to talk about these Normal things with their kids but i find it rediculouse like just tell them. If you are confident they will be too. My sister in law didn't tell anything to my niece and she had it early and was so scared. Just tell them don't let them get scared.
Honestly I loved watching the Dad talk to his son about periods. It’s good to have that conversation with children regardless or what sex they are so it’s not stigmatized.
I remember having that talk with my baby two years ago. My wife told her everything while I was on the verge of tears the whole time. The timing was kinda perfect because she started like four months later. She had her "my first period kit" ready to go. She was a tmi machine for a while.
this video is so important and heathy for kids to watch, same with the relationships in the videos, but my fav was the father and son duo, a lot of men have no clue how periods work so seeing them talk about it made me so happy
It's so wholesome to see this and them teaching their kids from young, especially boys because I remember when I was 19 having to explain the difference between pads and pantyliners to my bf (19) when he saw his older sister's panty liners.
Even menstrual hygene does have cultural diffrences. Would love a video about this! Until a few years ago I've never seen an american tampon. In Germany we only use the tampon without the plastic help for inserting. And the cups are very common. :)
more importantly is to find out that info your self, esp if your a young girl. this is where the internet can be confusing. you see info from one area and think your all set, only to find its different in your area. even for women who travel, know the customs and supplies in advance, dont get caught short
My grandma had absolutely no idea what was going on when she got her first period. She ran to her mom because she thought she was dying. Her mom just laughed. When she told me that, it broke my heart. Education is so important.

My parents never taught me anything about periods or sex ed and all I know about menstruation or sex ed is from the internet or doctor visits. i hope I can be a better mom to my kids if I ever get one and talk about stuff like this with them and not ignore it.
This is really good Awareness for the children before menstruation My mother have said me more about periods when I was 13 but later a year I had it!! I felt scared for the first time later I just got usual to have my period happier like other days!! This is a gift of nature We women should be happy instead of being sad or feeling discomfort It may last till the age 50 or 55 or some But it could stop on our aged days!! I really support such videos who have men on the Topic of periods!! Men should know how women struggle or survive from their problems such like periods and lot more than them Thank you for this wonderful conversation

@urachulnan ur mom for some reason you’ve commented 3 times explaining how disgusting you believe periods are on this exact video. Fairly certain Cut is the parent company, and the Hi-Ho channel is specifically reserved for kid content and Cut for adults. Being a human sucks sometimes
@@yoshi_1803 truth 🙌🏻
"sometimes"
yeah It does and always will
I don't remember it myself but apparently I was 6 when I first asked my parents where babies come from, and I was told the whole shabang of sex, periods, birth. Everything. Then I proudly presented my knowledge with an impromptu presentation in preschool the next day. I'm so glad I can't remember that.
HOLY SHI-
I mean that is indeed education LOL
Show and tell must have been wild
dayum I asked my mum where babies came.from when I was like 6, and it was the most akward conversation I've ever had
@Crow Preschool in Sweden is age 6. Kindergarten is 1-5, preschool 6 and real school 7 and onward.
@Crow Nah it's fine, don't worry about it. 🙏
1:27 death it feels like death. Unless you’re among the lucky few who don’t get cramps.
@@WouldntULikeToKnow. I have endometriosis and the pill made my periods WAY worse. I don't think they're the best idea for people who have my condition 😖
@@WouldntULikeToKnow. I’ve heard some people say it helps bet some people said it just made their periods more irregular or worse
@@WouldntULikeToKnow. It helped me a lot too. I used to throw up nearly every time and couldn’t walk and now I barely feel it. Plus I don’t dump heaps of blood like I used too. I could fill up a menstrual cup in about 3 hours every time 🥲🥲
I wish they would be 100% honest with little girls. It really feels like death.
i always felt like there was something wrong with me because i never had cramps, and my anxious brain started thinking things like "what if i can't ever have a child?" or "what if this is an early sign of cancer?". i looked into it and it turns out i am *very* lucky
The little redhead boy and his dad make me so happy. I love how honest and open they are.
Okay but like I learned everything by myself bro 😭
same -
It’s not easy becoming a woman. Any of y’all can HMU for period advice!
me toooo😭
the chemisty between the dad and son, loved it. ❤
Love Oden and his dad - they seem more comfortable with the topic than the moms. All great parents!
It's the father and the son for me honestly!💙☺💯
Honestly I loved watching the Dad talk to his son about periods. It’s good to have that conversation with children regardless or what sex they are so it’s not stigmatized.
Awry the father with the son is so empathetic and caring and that young boy will grow up to be such a loving kind man! 🤗
1:51 I had no idea people did this!
Ethan and Helena looks so grown up😭. I feel old.
I remember having that talk with my baby two years ago. My wife told her everything while I was on the verge of tears the whole time. The timing was kinda perfect because she started like four months later. She had her "my first period kit" ready to go. She was a tmi machine for a while.
I’m so proud of the little man in the tie dye blue shirt w/his dad. What a mature lil sweetheart 😆
So incredibly wholesome!
It makes me so happy to see a dad explain it to his son. He did pretty well.
this video is so important and heathy for kids to watch, same with the relationships in the videos, but my fav was the father and son duo, a lot of men have no clue how periods work so seeing them talk about it made me so happy
It's so wholesome to see this and them teaching their kids from young, especially boys because I remember when I was 19 having to explain the difference between pads and pantyliners to my bf (19) when he saw his older sister's panty liners.
Oden and his dad are hilarious. "What're u looking at?" 😂
“I get alot of ads”😭
Even menstrual hygene does have cultural diffrences. Would love a video about this! Until a few years ago I've never seen an american tampon. In Germany we only use the tampon without the plastic help for inserting. And the cups are very common. :)
Wow, that seems cool. I wouldn't have minded a party ;)
more importantly is to find out that info your self, esp if your a young girl. this is where the internet can be confusing. you see info from one area and think your all set, only to find its different in your area. even for women who travel, know the customs and supplies in advance, dont get caught short
My grandma had absolutely no idea what was going on when she got her first period. She ran to her mom because she thought she was dying. Her mom just laughed. When she told me that, it broke my heart. Education is so important.
The mom in the red top does it the best, it's just a natural thing, explains it like it's not a big issue, answers the questions the kid has. 👍🏿
I *LOVE* HER!!!
I follow her personal Tik-Tok channel.
I honestly have…
THE BIGGEST *CRUSH* ON HER!!!
LOL!!!!
✨☁️🌈💙🤟😘🤟💙🌈☁️✨
I like how the kids ask questions and the parents did really well also.
I wish one of my parents had explained this. I got mine when I was 12 or 13. I didn't know how my cycle worked until I got pregnant with my son at 25 with my ex-husband. He is my only child. He will be for 4 this year
Aww take care of the baby!Good luck
I love this. Kids are the best and parents explaining “uncomfortable” topics is dope!
this is so so important. my mother never even told me what a period was until i GOT it. im glad theyre having this conversation, and that a lot of them are having it so maturely.
Oden and his dad are amazing! I love how they were able to talk about this and it wasn’t weird for him. Oden is going to be a great partner for a girl... if he chooses to like them of course.
i agree, but friendly reminder that you don’t choose who you’re attracted to! wether you’re straight, gay, bi, or anything else, you were born that way, it’s not a choice. /nm
this is really nice to see kids been talked about it as young as they are. My parents never taught me anything about periods or sex ed and all I know about menstruation or sex ed is from the internet or doctor visits. i hope I can be a better mom to my kids if I ever get one and talk about stuff like this with them and not ignore it.
I loved the chemistry between the siblings ❤
This is really good
Awareness for the children before menstruation
My mother have said me more about periods when I was 13 but later a year I had it!! I felt scared for the first time later I just got usual to have my period happier like other days!!
This is a gift of nature
We women should be happy instead of being sad or feeling discomfort
It may last till the age 50 or 55 or some
But it could stop on our aged days!!
I really support such videos who have men on the Topic of periods!!
Men should know how women struggle or survive from their problems such like periods and lot more than them
Thank you for this wonderful conversation
The Filipino mother was great. The last sentence she told was absolutely right!
The soup thing made me laugh so much. I love kids, this is golden.
*“like... blood peeing... or something”* I LOVE THAT 🤣
I’m so glad kids are way more aware of this nowadays. I imagine the scene when it happened in the past… man.
Quality content
1:03 that's a really apt comparison to the texture of uterine lining! It's crazy that he was just like, oh I've got something for this 😂
All the people calling this weird or gross are either immature or just kids.
Yes, only children are allowed to be weirded out because they're still learning. Adults really should reveal no shock, that's just dumb.
Parents SHOULD teach their kids this, but doing it on camera? It just feels "off" to me.
@@thegrandproject7409 I personally don’t mind because it could teach some other kids about periods.
@@thegrandproject7409 it's not only teaching their kids, it's teaching other children who may not have the opportunity to talk to their own parents/guardians about this kind of stuff. It's educational more than it is 'off' to some viewers - I don't know why nature needs to be hidden really.
@urachulnan ur mom for some reason you’ve commented 3 times explaining how disgusting you believe periods are on this exact video. I’m assuming you’re a child probably male as no woman would ever say this particular comment. They’re uncomfortable sure and can be gross sometimes but it’s apart of life you need to grow up and if your a cis man and date women it’s going to be a bit difficult for you. But otherwise if you’re are a boy or a girl either way it’s a good for you to accept that nobody will ever date someone like you.
Got mine at 13 years old, while taking a bath 🛀, was never taught about period, I was quite shocked for a long time, didn’t understand what’s wrong with me. I was upset at my mom for not talking to me about it, and it took me a while to accept it
So, cut and hi-ho kids are owned by the same company, huh?
Fairly certain Cut is the parent company, and the Hi-Ho channel is specifically reserved for kid content and Cut for adults. I suppose they put this video on Cut because not every child of every age is ready for this conversation yet, and/or some parents might not want it popping up when they allow their children to watch the Hi-Ho channel.
the kid w the father and the mother with curly hair n her daughter have the best relationships, they do not rlly feel awkward or embarrased w each other, and both kids are rlly listening n learning
Who else thought they were adult nappies / diapers when they were younger 😂😂
"Oh uh- can we keep the hot sauce?" Ethan was so funny 😭
I never had any talks with my parents about anything pertaining to puberty. I found out about everything through the internet. Didn't even learn about anything in sexual education in school.
0:25 this laugh- tf-
“ blood comes out of your pepe “
That’s what my family calls milk you give to babies 😭
1:37
“Do I get a period?”
That got me laughing real hard
kids are so precious oh my god
The father son duo, I had a friend that was like the son, I think it was him! He had the same voice and he was funny! And he looked the same
Along with being very attractive, that dad explained things relatively well. Good on him!
The kid who described the soup film layer, that was actually a really unique way of thinking! I mean, the lining does kind of look like that amongst the blood, so he wasn't too far off!
Need more parents explain series & more Ethan - Helena... 😅
In india we have a whole movie about periods and sanitary pads.
It's called "padman"
My mom never explained anything about periods to my sisters and me, fortunately I learned from my older sister, who learned from…🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Omg I’m wheezing legit wheezing at the soup comment. Kids crack me up
i liked how the red shirt woman explained it:)
BRO I'M DYING 🤣, the boy literally wiped the hot sauce up with a tampon
1:36 LMAO " do i get a period"
Oden using the tampon to wipe up the hot sauce he spilled absolutely SENT me. His dad DID say it was like a lil sponge 😂
Same 🤣 I love that kid!
“Ca- can we keep the hot sauce?”
😂😂💀
Today I’m buying my first menstrual cup! Wish me luck!! I’m nervous but so happy because I know how clean I’ll feel compared to wearing tampons. I’m so excited!! :)
So, it was basically an ad disguised as an educational video.
Isn't that what sponsorships are? Besides, it benefited the kids
It WAS an educational video, with an ad at the end 😊
1:53 are the mother and daughter(sorry if i spelled it wrong) half filipino and half americans omg im filipino full blooded filipino actually proud filipino!
I love these, they're so funny
I kind of learnt about it before my Mum explained it to me… I kinda learnt from my friends, RUclips andddd other ppl Ik. But my Mum did explain it to me when I was 9 bc I was showing signs that I wanted her to know that I know. My Mum bought me my first pads for me when I was ten, even though I wasn’t on my period…. I did get some signs you would get before your first period. My Mum wanted me to be very prepared 😂🥲
Thank you for reading
Wholesome
The dad and son duo were amazing.
Despite having horrible PMS and period pain I always had to hide it from my dad. Like it was an embarrassment.
Philippino mom: “Do you know what periods are?”
Daughter: “No?”
Oh my god child you are in for a rude awakening
That one girl being so terrified. I remember in school when they told us about it and I was mortified
ok, i was not expecting an another filipino did the menstural period tradition. I thought i was the only one and that it was just a sick joke my mom and aunt told me 😭
At least it was explained to them and not expected to be explained by older siblings.
I’m 25 years old and I knew less than the kids 😂😂😂
This video is just phenomenal…neither of my parents took any time to talk to me about anything body related, EVER. These kids are SO very lucky. I don’t even care if some of the conversation has mistakes or is awkward…at least these conversations are happening…
