As much as I like the NASCAR crossover line, the 2-year license went to waste honestly. This is what the line should’ve been.

Thanks so much! I don't expect any job offers from Mattel, but I do think it would have been nice if they focused a bit of their attention on the incredible history of NASCAR instead of only next gen racers.
@@TheCarsShifter true, but it’s not even that, they put out some unnecessary background cars most of the time and later on becoming peg warmers, I genuinely don’t mind find a next gen because I do like collecting next GENs and just piston cup racers in general, but Mattel has to really know their audience especially with that Thomas reboot 🤦
This honestly would be the best thing to come out of both the NASCAR and Mattel line, even tho the deal ended 2 years ago definitely would love to see it come back for a throwback run

Some of NASCAR in Cars universe are named after the Real life NASCAR Drivers :O
I think it only makes sense since you have Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mario Andretti unchanged in the first movie, so for ones that I feel didn't really need a carification, I kept the names the same. :)

3:02 was a brilliant concept. Mattel should re-release Dale Jr. With the CORRECT Body he had since 2007 Supercharged line.. and not the 2010 release with the Nitroade racer body.
I even loved the idea of Flamin' Jeff Gordon. It's like you inspired the most iconic DuPont flames scheme Jeff ran since 2001. And I always wonder what Michael Waltrip looked like in the Cars universe. 👏🏁
Thanks very much! The accuracy of the Cars 1 racers is something I could go on and on about, but that's a topic for another day. I thought both iconic versions of Jeff were essential to include and I tried to make Michael Cartrip look related to Darrell by giving him his brother's same headlight coverings. :)
As much I and everyone else wants Dale realised we still have to get though his step mum or mabey something might happen who knows.
@@reilleyjones186 I do know he got the rights back to the #8 recently, but I don't think his step mom will ever give up the Dale Earnhardt Inc. trademark itself meaning we'll probably never see a release of his character ever again unfortunately.

Absolutely cool ideas for the Cars/NASCAR crossover toy line! It makes me wish those racers you thought up were in the movies. In fact, I wish Mattel kept going with this toyline and make more toys like these.

@@TheCarsShifter I'm glad you agree with me! And you know, besides Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Darrel Waltrip making guest appearances in the first Cars movie, what if more NASCAR celebrities made appearances in said film too, like Jeff Gordon, Bill Elliot, Rusty Wallace and Toby Stewart?
This would be so cool, but I imagine they’d also do Jimmie Johnson but that’s practically Lightning McQueen and Jeff Gordon would more than likely use the Jeff Gorvette mold

Loved the video! One thing I do want to point out is the "Glory Days Darrell Cartrip" #28 @3:00. Darrell Waltrip never drove the 28 in NASCAR. The animation you have is based off of Buddy Baker's "Gray Ghost".
I would put Tyler Reddick “Tyler Roadick” as a Tach O Mint racer.

The fact that they literally snubbed the idea of a Jimmie Johnson cameo/reference, unlike they did with Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, etc, in the movies was mind boggling
I would assume the reason they never added Jimmie Johnson to Cars would be because McQueen essentially represents him in their universe being a 7x Piston Cup Champion of course. Thanks for watching!

Mattel needs to take notes on this. these would be so cool if they do make these moments or drivers as cars diecast.
Mattel should definitely do stuff like this for their nascar line if the do it would make it 100 times better and I would even spend my life savings on all of them.

I'm doing custom textures for Cars the videogame, and one i had in mind was Fabulous Hudson Hornet as shown here, in black color and with rhe number 6.
Him, Harry Gant, Flamin' Jeff Gordon, Florida Dale and Glory days Darrel are my favorites.
And once again, i adore how rhe edits have those vives of a Cars edit from the first movie's era. It's very nostalgic.
Thanks so much as always! I love the jet black Hudson Hornet paint job too, hence why I included it here, probably my favorite look of the real NASCAR Hudson Hornets. Since it was Doc Hudson's original number for the movie, I thought there's no better place to have it as a diecast than this fictional line. The old World of Cars edits were of course a huge source of inspiration, the amount of character those things had were just insane!

Thanks! I had to keep the line a certain length to accommodate the music track, but there's always the next part if I ever do make one! I wish they included Jeff's black flames design as the Nitroade racer in Cars 3 with him voicing it as the Brick Yardley character. It seems almost too obvious, but I guess they didn't want to erase Jeff Gorvette.

I would love to see classic cars and muscle cars added to Disney Cars world. They could do a movie where they go back to when Doc and his buddies were younger, giving us all new cars to collect.

I LOVE the idea of these irl NASCAR drivers racing in Piston Cup and many of them can fit for the timeline. Soon, I announce my comeback to NASCAR/Piston Cup and I wanna use some designs for my AU. Now, we can 2026 for part 3 of this masterpiece.
BTW, which Piston Cup drivers will stay in this timeline?
Thanks very much! My thought process is that some of the characters featured in this line would be canon to the Cars universe while others wouldn't. The Jeff Gordon's probably wouldn't be because I like to think Darrell Cartrip was Nitroade all the way up until Aiken Axler, etc. The Doc Hudson is another likely wouldn't, but if he was never killed off I bet he would have gotten cool variations like that, just bearing the #51 instead of #6 of course. :)
@@TheCarsShifter Yeah. Also, since Darrell retires from Piston Cup in 2000 and Aiken debuts in 2003, who was racing for Nitroade in 2001 and 2002? Probably you can add Terry Labonte for this?
@@NVRacingProductions It's really anyone's guess, but I'd just disregard the bio and push Aiken's debut up to 2001 because I don't see much reason for there to be another character in between. At least that's what I think, we all have the right to our own headcanons. :)

@@NVRacingProductions Out of respect, I don't make racers who had a tragic death before their careers could truly flourish. So I'd just say Aiken Axler represents him in a weird way because they're both #28 with orange and black.

When i was going to watch Cars 2, I he at e that one of my favourite drivers, Jeff Gordon, would voice himself, and I thought he would identical to his car irl. But he turned into a corvette that looks nothing like him.
Jeff Gordon is already in a movie. Which is Jeff Gorvette from Cars 2.
We know that Captain Obvious, it's the fact that Jeff Gorvette doesn't resemble Jeff Gordon really. Strip Weathers is nearly identical to Richard Petty's car, and the same goes for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jeff Gordon was a NASCAR Racer and his car was blue with a red flame job, but Jeff Gorvette is just a yellow Corvette voiced by Gordon, and he isn't even in the Piston Cup. People have issues with that and redesign him.
Why wasn’t Jimmie Johnson in cars 2 instead because him and Hamilton have a lot in common due to them dominating these two motorsports that they were in
@@DavidFrame-dj9mx very true, by the time Cars 2 released (2011), Johnson had just won 5 NASCAR Championships in a row (from 2006-2010)
Like it would have been also good to have Rusty Wallace and Kurt Busch in a two car set
@@DavidFrame-dj9mxI’m pretty sure the reason Johnson wasn’t in there because McQueen literally IS Johnson, the only difference is that he won 4 piston cups from 2006-2010 and not 5.

This is great the only issue I see is with the "Glory Days Darrell Cartrip" that Grey Ghost Livery was only run by Buddy Baker and Bobby Allison, other than that these are all awesome!
Thank you! I am well aware of that fact, but I took the creative liberty since Nitroade fits Darrell so well on top of the fact that the livery was run in a 1977 Monte Carlo sometimes just like he is. I think there's a very fine line between NASCAR and the Piston Cup, so that Darrell is my most canon attempt at his prime look since I have Buddy Baker and Bobby Allison as their Dodge Daytonas because those are too iconic not to make their canon characters in the same way Strip Weathers isn't one of Richard Petty's Monte Carlo's or anything like that. @@AndyGreenFox2005 The eyes and wheels are useful from that picture of The King, I just don't use the body itself due to it being a bit too low to the ground which wouldn't match the other artworks. Thanks for watching. :)

In the same way Leroy Hemming isn't called Buck Baker or Tim Flock, I think it's good to take creative liberties and remember the Piston Cup isn't just a carbon copy of NASCAR. I wanted at least some of the characters here to be considered canon to the World of Cars so you have a nice balance. If I were to do James Hylton, of course it would be his winged Dodge Daytona since it's too great a model not to use for the drivers that drove those cars. Thanks for watching! :)

Thanks! I decided to make him a stock car in this video because it's what he's known for Pixar clearly didn't have the bigger picture in mind when designing him as they probably thought his only appearance would be the World Grand Prix.
