You are the future of jazz, and it's one hell of a future

I don't know if there's a test for one's musical I.Q. but I now know what a perfect score sounds like. It's one thing to hear all of that, another to find it on the instrument and another still to pull it off with such aplomb. Were that written out there are only a handful of us who could pull it off. Then to look up and see the face of a child - God sure is good to some of us when he wants be. When there's no obvious explanation, I certainly don't have one (Lenny Breau, John Williams & Bach somehow fathered a child with Bob Dylan's mom?), I guess that's the default position. If there's a better one out there, especially involving extra hours spent in the practice room, I'd love to hear it.

Very lovely playing. Imaginative work during the changes, which is fascinating and played virtuosically, as you always do. But which for me alter an iconic song by moving outside its basic sentiment, which disturbed me, frankly, and distracted me from its certainly that there is truly a somewhere over the rainbow. That said, great work!

An octave pedal split to just to work on the Bass strings (A and E typically). Gilad Hekselman also does this with a few different groups, specifically his work with John Raymond's Real Feels and his most recent album "Ask for Chaos".
